Okay I've had my Xt125 for a few months and ive looked at other peoples pictures on the internet and i see people with a different rear light, indicators and number plate mount(dont know what the name of it is). Could anyone tell me where u can buy these or or how to make it if u cant buy them. I've been looking for ages now and every1 that has done it to their bikes doesn't seem to speak english. This is a pic of what I want it it look like: It makes the bike look much more neat without all the plastic hanging off the back. This is a pic of the back end without it:

Hi everyone, My son's xvs125 2001 model won't start. It has been left idle for 3 weeks during the snow and now won't fire. I have checked the spark and it's good but in doing so I broke the plug top and need to replace it. no problem I thought until I tried to get the tank off! I can't see how I am to disconnect the speedo to get to the coils to change the spark leads and also, to check if the fuel is getting to the carb in the first place. The bike has a fuel pump,I guess vacuum operated and I tried the prime setting on the fuel tap, recharged the battery etc but not a cough from the engine. the inlet manifold looks like it could do with replacing as it looks old …

Can anyone offer advice on where to start looking to solve this problem? XTZ 660 1992. The bike generally runs well. However, i keep having the same problem that has developed recently - The bike starts fine and runs for about 5 minutes or so (or about 2-3 miles) when it simply stops. The fuel supply is fine and there's plenty of life in the battery but it simply will not fire up. Once cold again (leave it for a couple of hours) and the same thing happens all over again. I have the full workshop manual and have tested the coil which gives all the proper readings. Otherwise, I'm stumped! Can anyone offer any advice on what to look at next? Thanks …

Hello Yamaha Owners I am pleased to join you. I purchased a YZF R125 2008 model on 23/09/09 when i was 16 privately, i am now 17 and passed my CBT yesterday and am hoping to have my bike on the road tomorrow (I just need TAX). I need general advice on maintaining my bike please like how to look after the chain, tyres, engine, just everything which must be checked and looked after. I have read the manual but i do not understand it all and do not know if all of it is nesseccary. I would definitely like to know what products to use on the chain to clean and lubricate it. In the manual it says use kerosene to clean, and a suitable O-Ring lubricant, but on the ne…

Hi all, I noticed there have been a few gear problems reported with this bike here, and I'm getting the impression that its just a bad gearbox. I have a 2008 YBR and im the second owner, the first didnt use it much however he did change the oil himself. and just recently i have found it amazingly difficult to get into neutral, the problem varies from lots of resistance in teh gear stick to just skipping straight to 2nd......its only been the last two days its been happening, and during my journeys i have put the bike into neutral at traffic lights and there have been no problems, however i get to work/home and it just wont do it, i had to give in and turn the bike …

Evening all, Any ideas on lightening the clutch on an fzr 400 3tj? I've made sure the lever isn't fouled up, that the cable runs free and isn't kinked/snagged on anything, cleaned and greased the lever mechanism and screw thread, even taken the basket to bits and made sure everything is seated and free of burs and damage...yet when i build it back up its no better. I took the chance whilst it was in pieces to replace the plates and springs with the specified parts but still its made no difference...at the lever the pull is very heavy for what i'm used to with a cable operated unit, so i'm open too any suggestions on what the issue may be. Any ideas? Many thanks...Gi…

i ve bought a 51 plate xvs dragstar as an unfinished project it starts up first time an when not in gear it revs really well when twist the throttle however once it in gear as soon as you twist the throttle its as though there is no power there it hardly moves the only way it will ride is if you ride the clutch i ve stripped an cleaned the carb ,the carb is made by mikuni is this the standard carb or has someone fitted a different carb when out of gear it crackles an pops a little through the exhaust(baffles are removed) so i guess its running rich ? an the carb is putting too much fuel in thats why it wont ride ? however there is no mixture adjustment screw on th…

HI, I'm working my way through rebuilding a 92 sr125, and in the process it looks like the starter clutch has given up. In order to get at it I need to remove the magneto. I managed to get a puller bolt to fit the magneto, however I have not been able to source the sheave holder to hold the magneto. I recently found a 'FLYWHEEL CLUTCH PULLEY HOLDER SEALEY VS1811 MOTORCYCLE, and I was wondering if anyone knew if this would work? Darren.

I have the pre Div XJ600. The bars are uncomfortable for my lanky frame but they are the 'clip-on' type that bolt through the top yoke with little adjustment. Is there an after market 'riser' or 'adapter' available so I can fit Renthal bars instead? I've junked the fairing and given the bike a naked front end which would allow me to fit whatever. Anyone help? Craig

Ive got an fz600 and im unsure if my tank has a leak or if theres a blocked breather or vent. Im also unsure if the tank is single or double skinned. I assume that the pipe that comes from the front of the bottom of the tank is on overflow of breather pipe this pipe seems to seep petrol (or it could be condensation and petrol im unsure) I was wondering if anyone has had the same or similar problem. It was suggested that it was a twin skin tank and the drain was for condensation from between the skins. i.e if there was a hole in the inner skin then condensation and petrol would come out of the drain. any help would be appreciated.

Yamaha DT 250 1974,1975,1976 Source Coil part number 438-81312-20-00 Does anybody know the resistance for the Source coil on this motorcycle and how to check it. I would think I would take the magneto cover off and check both ends of the coil or can I just check it from the wiring harness to ground? The problem is I do not know the resistance it is supposed to have. Has anybody checked their source coil or do you know what the ohms are supposed to be? I cannot find it in the factory book or the clymer book! Thanks, Darren

Highway hawk fat pipes XVS125 DRAGSTAR Purchased some of these a while back , fitted them with the shop guy and found out the intake manifold on bike was full of holes and split wich we patched up wihth some sealant as a temporary fix , anyway we just upped the needle a bit and it seemed to run fine. Then I went out and bought a new manifold, with this fitted the bike was running out of top end and was a bit of a disaster wich confused me ! My question is this do these pipes need the carb rejetting , cant seem to find any information either way , if so any advice as to what sort of size jet to try the stock one is a 90 Anybody with practical experience of …
