I have a 2000 YZF 600R that I've been riding for 3 years now. I've never had any trouble with it before but at the very end of my 3rd year on the day I wanted to take it out for my last ride the bike would not start. Every time I tried to start it I could hear a clicking noise sounding a lot like the starter. However it never would get to finally starting up. I didn't think it was the battery as I had just 2 days earlier went on a ride (30-40 mins long) and when I put the key in the lights were normal (not dim whatsoever). Wanted to know what someone might think this may be. The weather had gotten very cold the night after I had last taken the bike out and on that day…

Ok I'm a total n00b in the bike world and it might be a siple problem so please don't laugh at me!!! :] I got the bike for about 6 months now runs sweet no problems. Recently I got problems with starting it up. When I press the ignition nothing happens sometimes turning the wheel all the way to the right fixes the problem but on other occasions the bike is having non of it, rocking it or anything does not fix the problem the only way to start it is to push it in gear. There are no other issues with the bike and the problem is as random as it gets. I cant see any relay on the steering that would prevent it from start up or I am just blind. Its a hard thing cos when it …

due to a accident resulting in my hubby losing his left lower leg we bought a 900 diversion trike, after months of stripping it down and repainting, polishing and wishing, the thing is now back together but now we find out the carbs on it are the wrong ones, due to the fact the frame wont allow you to put the right ones on. Can anyone recommend a suit substitute; we think it’s a 92 engine. After months of waiting and to get so close to seeing him ride off in to the distance with his mates it’s very frustrating to say the least, I hope someone can help

Hi all, my son has a DT 50MX 1984 model. There was a problem with the wiring which we sorted ok. Since then when you turn the handlebars to the right the engine starts to rev high. I have tried re-routing the throtle cable with no joy. Has anyone got any ideas. They would be much appreciated. Cheers Dave.

Right, me fazer has a front wheel shake, so i'd like your thaughts. Driving along at any speed ya want there is no vibration, shake, wobble or anything while lightly holding the bars. At the weekend i had it out for a its propper test ride. While riding along i let go the bars and put my hands on the tank (just a habit i have). After a second the bars went into a mad shake,,,,i quickly grabed them again. Something is not right with them. Went home and starting looking her over. My Findings: Forks are not bent--------thank god Forks are not twisted------thank god The forks have been slid down through the Yokes about 20mm--------at a guess, to try to lower the …

My sister has a Yamaha CS50 Jog R and it keeps cutting out either when she is idling, it was recommended that we change the carburetor, which we did but it still hasnt solved the problem. When it does cut out it wont then either kick start or electric start unless we pull back on the throttle at the same time as starting it. I thought it might be something to do with the idle jet but as im dont deal with mopeds much i wouldnt have the foggiest where to look for it and i cant find any diagram to help. I just wondered if anyone could help, ie with another diagnosis or a description of where to look for a solution

Was the rear brake calipur on a -in my case- 96' XTZ660 Tenere in any way 'generic' at the time...as in was the same rear calipur used on other Yamaha models besides the Tenere. I ask because a list of alternative machines supporting the same spec calipur would be good to provide breakers with....as just one reply from an alleged 200 of them for a XTZ660 rear calipur isn't exactly what I would consider to be a successful result so far (and the one result I did receive later informed me that they'd already sold it!!) I would greatly appreciate any input on this technical request folks, as m'dog is currently grounded as a result of a seriously mullered bleed nipple …

Hi All Have just got my bike back from its service YZF 750 r now ready for its long trip to the TT this year, (well so i thought) was told when i picked the bike up that i had a leak in my front fork, it can be fixed with new seals but as the chrome is pitted where the seals rub then these new ones wont last as long as they should, advice given was to replace the left fork, (theres nothing wrong with the right). Am i right in thinking that i need a left inner sleeve or is there some other tech name for it?...... Thanks for ur help RIDE SAFE!

Hi guys, i'm having trouble starting my YBR125.. It has been standing in a warmed up garage over the winter.. And now i can't get the engine running. I would really appreciate any advice, so if some of you have an idea of what the issue could be, please let me know For you information, i have tried kickstarting it several times, even while running. The battery seems to be working, as the neutral lamp, and display light.
