ok back with what is turninmg out to be a little money pit of a rxs 100. you may remember that i recently found a bunch of mis sized bolt holding the reed and inlet to the barrel of my bike.. well there was a reason for that.. All the threads are knackerd. and the one on the top left.. Seems some bright spark snapped a bolt in that, then went ahead and tried to drill it out and destroyed part of the casing so if you screwed the bolt in you can see 50% of it (the right hand side) so theres no way thats going to work. Also they didnt manage to get the sheered off bolt out any way.. i could use an extractor. and use a full length bolt that would then give me atleast 20%…

Alright folks Anyone have any idea of the size of the exhaust stub on an SR125. My boys exhaust is popping and when I went to tighten it up, the thread (in the cylinder head) has stripped. I need the thread size so I can pick up a helicoil for it Thanks in advance

Last night , for whatever reason my drive chain jumped the rear sprocket cog and came off! No damage! the engine stopped! I came to a stand still pretty quickly..........nobody about!! When I rebuilt the motor last year and had the wheels rebuilt, (foolhardy i know!) but I never replaced the drive chain and sprockets at the time! I just reused the old ones (I know I didn't know its history) Its done now ok?................don't go on! Anyway, back to reality! I know what needs to be done, new kit from Wemoto this weekend! I guess its all down to adjustment, which is where you fellow DTMX guys know a tad more than me! My 400/4 is easy to adjust, yo…

Hey Guys, So I now I have got my SR125 running I decided to try and tackle the electronics to save myself some money. Originally the previous owner had replaced the wiring loom and not managed to get it working again (he was using the 84 manual, and it's completely different for my 93). Anyway, there were wires everywhere, one indicator came on but didn't flash and stuff. For the past few days I have been staring at the wiring diagram and today I decided to take a go. I managed to get everything working except the horn and the lowbeam light (although the bulb has blown, so I might have fixed that). I managed to get the indicators working (the guy had put the back o…

Hi all, My WR had a full engine rebuild, but has been stood for about a year. (off the ground on a stand). When I first started it, it fired after the first 3 kicks and idled nicely until I turned it off. A few weeks later I did the same and it was a bit harder to start this time, but it eventually ran and warmed up. I tried starting it the other day, but it wouldn't go. Despite not using any throttle when kicking it, and having fuel & choke turned on, it was dripping fuel at the bottom through the tube as if it was being flooded. I then tried bumping it in second and third but still nothing, there was compression and we even got a few backfires but it …

Hi all , I'm Steve a new member on here that is close to clinical depression because my Dt won't give me a good spark! . I bought the bike off e bay and it ran fine in in the howling rain and wind for about 35 miles . I indicated to pull off into the services and the bike just died. It was pulling well in every gear and compression seemed good. I have since replaced the coil , plug and cap , checked all connectors and cleaned them , and fitted a used Cdi box that had 8 wires . One of these was linked into a black wire that I have since cut off so I'm left with 7 wires. Still I am getting the faintest spark that dies not even shock to touch . I noticed some leakage from t…
