Came close to an off today and the best of it is if i'd been riding like a tawt i'd have been nowhere near. Riding through Buckby obeying all the laws of the road. Being a good boy just enjoying being on the bike, going nowhere with all afternoon to do it in. Coming out of buckby village under the bridge approaching the national limit, checks mirror, indicator on, thinking pass the car and the van on the straigh(ish) bit then i've got the bends to myself. The car desides to turn right! one of those mirror, signal, turn all done as one jobbies. He clocks me at the last second and brakes/carries on a bit i had already braked as it felt all wrong as i went to get on the g…

Hi everyone I've owned a DT100 since 1982 having bought it off a mate for £100. This has been in bits since i first stripped it down in that year to do up. What I'd like to know is if the down pipe of a similar year 125 will fit the 100? Originally I was intending to do it up with the same colour scheme as the IT bikes of the era, with red frame and white paint, but now as I've got older i will do it in its original colour, trouble is I forgotten what it was??? Two women friends had gone for a girls' night out. Both were very faithful and loving wives, however They had gotten over-enthusiastic on the Bacardi Breezers. Incredibly drunk and walking home they needed to Pee, so they stopped in the cemetery. One of them had nothing to wipe with so she thought She would take off her panties and use them. Her friend however was wearing a rather expensive Pair of panties and did not want to ruin them. She was lucky enough to squat down next to a grave That had a wreath with a ribbon on it, so she Proceeded to wipe with that. After t…

BBQ RULES We are about to enter the BBQ season.(I wish!!!!) Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity . When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion: Routine... (1) The woman buys the food. (2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert. (3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand. (4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance of testost…

Best Pub "As good as this is," said the Scotsman, "I still prefer the pubs back home. In Glasgow, there's a wee place called McTavish's. The landlord goes out of his way for the locals. When you buy four drinks, he'll buy the fifth drink." "Well, Angus," said the Englishman, "at my local in London, the Red Lion, the barman will buy you your third drink after you buy the first two." "Ahhh, dat's nothin'," said the Irishman, "Back home in my favorite pub, the moment you set foot in the place, they'll buy you a drink, then another, all the drinks you like, actually. Then, when you've had enough drinks, they'll take you upstairs and see dat you gets laid, …

Hi guys.. I'm in dire need of help with my little one! I've sold it to my girlfriend, just before the winter, before winter layup, she was as sweet as anything, only little niggldy electrical problems. After the winter, i noticed that she was as difficult as anything to start, and once she was actually trying to move, she was spluttering and repeatedly flooding the spark plug. Few days after, I noticed that she kept spitting fuel back out of the overflow in the carb.. So my immediate thought was worn float needle/seat. Dropped the carb, inspected it all, and theres some reasonably bad wear on the needle where it sits, so i'm trying to find another.. If anyone out…

There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes the Tickle Me Elmo toys. The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms. Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8:00 am. The next day at 8:45 am there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. The Foreman throws open the door and begins to rant about the new Employee. He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the entire production line behind schedule. The Personnel Manager decides he should see this for himself, so the 2 men march down to the factory floor. When they get there the line is so backed up t…

A bit of a rant. Had to go to Manchester uni today with college, instead of going on the college bus I decided to ride there. Haven't had the chance to ride enough recently with the weather etc. Borrowed my dads satnav for a bit of help and had it on earphones in my pocket as I don't have a mount for the bike. Getting there wasn't too bad and it seemed to work well. The way back was a different story, I was going home and not back to college, but didn't think it would make a huge difference, was i wrong. After about 10 mins of the return journey i realized it wasn't going the same way i had come, so stopped and checked the satnav and it was taking me through …

Look at this, what a load of tat. Someone was flogging this stuff last year for about 15quid and it didn't shift then. If you have even the vaguest idea of how the suspention works on a DT125/75 Or pretty much any 80's trailee)you will know this wont improve the travel. But rushing people 30 odd quid for a couple of bolts and some spacers (plus postage!) you can make in your garage is just rude. As far as the rear shock goes just re drill the mount on the frame cost 0p. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-DT175-DT175E-DT125-DT125MX-DT175MX-Jack-up-Kit_W0QQitemZ120528095426QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item1c1008c8c2 These profiteering pirates should crawl …

When I was a youth in the early 70s you could strip & rebuild a bike down with a lump hammer a pair of pliers & a tin opener , sometimes if lucky had enough bits left over to make a spare engine , if we needed a vice we used to get this big fat lass ( yes there was only one to a village in them days not 80% like now)tie her hands behind her back stand her in a bucket & rivet a mars bar to her knees she'd bend over for hours with a con rod up her ass till job done , but the mars bars tasted bit sweaty! Also a thing that is not practiced today is retreading worn tyres with melted wellies with various designs of spud bashers for the tread we used lard…
