    1) So I saw a picture of the new '09 yzf-r125. The bike looks like its going 100mph when its not moving. I was very surprised to see that they made 125cc sport bikes. I'm used to seeing 125cc mopeds in India. Anyway it got me interested in comparing its specs with my '80 xs400. I'm very new to bikes, I got mine last month, but when I think of bike power I think of cc's. So my bike more than doubles the yzf-r in cc's, yet the top speed for both is very close. The xs400 @ 87mph, and the yzf-r125 @ 82mph (from a video I saw on youtube). I realize the xs is about 100lbs heavier, but what else makes a 125cc bike so incredibly fast? What would the diffrence in acceleration be? …

f*ck me peeps, i hear all these horror stories about people having accidents on bikes most days, but i never fully understood the fear of it until last night.80 on the way back from halton, about 8pm as i came into newbury up a single road, lit by streetlights at 30mph (just before a speed camera), there was an oncoming car stationary, indicating to turn right across my lane into a driveway, now, being a cocky young shite i assumed he/she had seen me and carried on, as i got nearer the stupid tw*t started to turn, i shat myself, put the anchors on, locked the back wheel and braced for impact, thankfully i missed the back of the car by about 3 inches but f*ck me if it…

I wanted to comment on a thread that's locked-out, and couldn't. So, I'm starting a new thread to repond. I call the British "Friends and Allies", because whenever a Yank is in a skirmish, they know that they can trust a Brit to cover their back.

I finally gave in, and yesterday I purchased the latest Ron Howard release of Dan Browns Angels and Demons on DVD. Now, I like the Dan Brown books, I like how they blur the line between fact and fiction, I like how, to the uneducated, they can appear as truth and I like how he strings the story together. It's just a bit of escapism that centres around some stuff that I find quite interesting. So, why did Ron Howard find it neccassary to take huge chunks of pertinent subtext from the film ? and why change perfectly well written endings for key characters? And why, no really WHY, was the Hassasin a White Amreican? what the hell was wrong with the large dark sk…

Hi, folks. I'm 58 years old and have ridden since I was 15. Many times, I've seen people take a perfectly-good motorcycle (or car) and try to make it do more, costing them a lot of money in the process. Here's my 2 cents worth: 1. Roadliner performance: If it's not fast or quick enough for you, get a V-Max! 2. Roadliner stock exhaust: If it's not LOUD enough for you, have your hearing checked! Ahhh, I feel a little better, now. Thanks for letting me vent.
