  1. Hello all, still pretty new to having a proper motorbike, a wr125x, compared to the mopeds I've had previous! So, I've just used up the last of my chain lube... I'm rather confused as to what brand/type is the best for this horrible English weather! What do you guys use for winter time? I ride everyday about 20 miles or so to work and back everyday so I'm cleaning and lubing up the chain every few days or so! thanks guys!!

Ok, I was talking to a biker at one of my deliveries. Proud as punch of his Iron butt achievements like riding from the midlands, down on the m5 to the 50, across to the m4 back to the m25, take the long way round then up the a1 till you hit the 62, across to the m6 back to the start. Called the four corners apparently. Done in under 24hrs, apparently (if I remembered the route) over 1000miles in under 24 hrs. I admire the sheer mental strength to do something so utterly soul destroying. I'm not being underhand I told him it sounded massively fucking boring and he agreed, he said it was the guys with him that made it great, which is what motorc…

  7. Hello I'm just wondering if anyone could help me as I was riding my Yamaha Xt125x the other day and it randomly decided to bog out and die. I thought it might be because I was a little low on fuel and was riding with the choke on at the time. After a bit of fiddling I have managed to get it started fine (with kick start only) but then 20mins later I tried again and the button start worked and started first time so I've rode home and locked it away for the night but when I went out the next morning there was nothing and wouldn't start on either kick start or button start all the lights are on but when you use the button start they all dim maybe even go out and something (a…

Has anybody got blind spot mirrors fitted? Been on motorway loads of times but this week on the M4 I thought what a difference it would make to have blind spot mirrors rather than craning my neck every time I wanted to overtake a Porsche vehicle.

They took several bikes including an RD250 and YR5. Those bikes are quite unique in that they are brand new and my dad’s devastated, as you’d expect. We’re at a loss really. This is part of Padgett’s heritage and part of the history of Yamaha coming to the UK. 'Some of the bikes are irreplaceable – where do you find another new YR5 in …

My ignition barrel is wearing out, it keeps getting stuck in the locked position, one day it's just gonna get stuck like that, it needs to be replaced. I'm wondering how much it'll cost, anyone else had there's replaced? The bikes a YBR Custom if that helps. I was going to do it myself like I do everything else, turns out they use fucking shear bolts to hold them in.

  14. Got bored and while mooching around Android looking for cheapo Motorcycle helmet speakers, found a rechargeable, Stereo Headset with full Android and iPhone compatible Pairing with good reviews at £12. Here's a link Link to cheapo headset It looked like it might fit, so I bought one - after all, if it all went pear-shaped I would be down a bit over a tenner, if not . . . Here's the result We stab it with our steely knives, Then we smash it all to bits! (Apologies to Smash). It came apart pretty easily, the wires linking the speakers and battery across the headband were pretty ta…

Hello guys, just picked up a wicked little thing! its an Oxford disc brake lock/alarm, payed roughly £35. Very loud at 100db, very good quality for money too! It's very sensitive as well, I put my key in the ignition and it goes off, Thought I'd post it up for anyone who's looking for a cheap little deterrent!! http://www.halfords.com/motoring/motorcycling/motorcycle-security/oxford-screamer-alarm-disc-lock.

Just bought myself an RG250 Gamma: looks a but scruffy, but feels as tight as a post christmas waist band. Can't wait to get out on it - i'd forgotten how smooth multicylinder 2 strokes were (last one I had was a 350 YPVS, which i sold in 2000). Will put new plugs in and change the gearbox oil - anything else i need to remember.

Hello all, now, I've got a Yamaha wr125x 2015 and I need some advice!! Most days I take the dual carriageway home as my bike is my main form of transport! It's currently all stock apart from a leovince exhaust. I've researched for hours trying to find someone who has messed about with the gearing, I want a wee bit more topend. I know it's a 125 4 stroke and I'm lucky to get 65/70mph out of it but I'd rather sit at them speeds a little more Comfortably in 6th gear. Does anyone know what gear ratios suit this bike better for a little bit more speed? Thanks in advance ! Oh, and merry Christmas guys!!

I know this technically should be in the "for sale" section but I'm not selling but giving it away. Hi everybody, I'm having a mega clearout and have came across some bike clothing I'm going to get rid of to a charity shop but I'd rather they go to a current biker first. What I have is a full set of leathers and a textile jacket with padded leggings which are not waterproof but are very warm. I am 5' 8" - 42" chest and 36" waist. Hopefully photos to follow. The only stipulation is that you must collect from Chippenham, Wiltshire.
