Can anyone advise me of the torque for the 4 nuts on the studs on the cylinder head for my YQ 50. Putting it all together tomorrow after removing a broken exhaust stud.

Hi guys. Got a DT 125 MX for a project. The previous owner bored it, not sure how far oversize he went though. he also fit a ktm racing muffler and cone filter. It's suffered 33 years of abuse, so I plan to do a full engine rebuild. Parts aren't difficult to find, neither was the Haynes manual... but a parts catalogue is, I can only find the one for the liquid cooled model.. Does anyone know where I can find one? I'd like to be able to search for parts by their number to avoid compatibility issues. Does anyone have/ know where I can get a parts catalogue? Dear fellow motor cycle riders, im from Holland and just bought a yamaha xj6 n. I love it! Problem is that when i ride it and shut it off around 100degrees Celsius the bike pukes cooling fluid. my dad and i changed the cooling fan and also the radiator cap. That didnt help.. We kinda dont know what to do now. I really hope someone can help. greetings Roel

Hi just checking on the inner tube size for the rear tyre on my DT 125 R . the old one I took out was a CST 3.25/3.50-18 tube and the new one from Yamaha is a Bridgestone 4.10-18 tube . The tyre fitted is a Mithchelin Enduro 140-80-18 tyre. Asking because new tubes valve seems to stick through more as when tyou tighten the 2 nuts up there is visible rubber showing, not right i am thinking. Cheers.

I have been helping a mate of mine fix his road legal Pit bike 140cc (stomp??) and yesterday i had to remove two fucked screws out of his stator plate so he could upgrade it. Anyway before that he asked if i had a flywheel puller and sadly id don't, followed swiftly by the "how do i remove a flywheel then" question..............."with a puller" i reply. Then the screw extraction procedure happened, how he got the flywheel off i did not ask. i do the biz and remove the two fucked screws and fit the new stator and leave for home to my chicken stew and dumplings.....nom nom nom Hour later he tips up at mine …

hi guys I have a 2000 thunderace and when I took it out of the shed the other morning it seemed to have developed a misfire . very lumpy at low revs and not wanting to pick up unless given a handful and stinking of petrol I have replaced the standard exhaust with a stubby race can and thought this could have caused the problem but after replacing the standard exhaust yhe misfire continues could it be as simple as a plug off or something more serious

Hello! I'm thinking of ditching the Autolube oil delivery system from my '81 DT250MX/I suspect that the previous owner has already done that for me but I haven't got around to making 100% sure. Basically I'm going for the 'oil in the petrol tank' approach. Does anyone know the oil/fuel ratio for doing this. I've never owned a 2-stroke so I'm used to just sticking it all in the bottom end and being done with it. Cheers.

Hey everyone. Im having issues with my V50 atm where my exhaust is full of oil. The previous owners use to run car engine oil through the pre mix system instead of normal 2 stroke oil (it says motor oil on the cap and they got confused) so im wondering what methods are best to clear it out so the bike can breath. Hiya, i have a yamaha DTR SM 125 my headlamp doesnt work and i am trying to find out how to replace the lightbulb. i have taken the fairing off but i cant seem to get into the headlamp. can you replace the lightbulb or do you have to replace the whole headlamp? if you can just replace the lightbulb what lightbulb do you use? thanks for your help guys

Got some fairly hefty scratches on the tank of the XJ6 (tank bag related). As it's a metallic blue (2009/10 bike), I'm a bit reluctant to use T-cut. Does anyone have any recommendations for polish that will sit over the scratches, rather than taking the paint back?

Hi all. Does humidity affect our engines? The reason I ask is I have a Yamaha YT125 Tri-Moto (DT125 engine just detuned a bit) and I've noticed on humid days that it runs a bit different. The humidity has been between 70-80% for the last month so. When it is humid it doesn't like to idle and will only start if the throttle is slightly cracked open, and above 3/4 throttle it likes to cut out and just doesn't seem to have the power it usually does. On a non humid day it day it will start right up and idle all day, and doesn't cut out above 3/4 throttle. At full throttle on a humid day I can hear it struggling to suck air. Morning I recently purchased a Yamaha XC 125 TR Cygnus 2010 and noticed in the manual which came with it that it recommend that I use yamalube. I decided to have a look on-line and noticed that they offered both a fully and semi synthetic oil and I am not sure which one I should go for.
