We like to think that as Bikers we're different to the cagers. This goes to show that scum can ride bikes as well. http://www.hallamfm.co.uk/news/local/3-year-old-girl-in-hit-and-run-with-3-motorbikes-in-rotherham/

Aniother of my travellers tales, coming back from Bude I stopped in the town centre near this fountain looking round the people nearby seemed zombie like just sitting/standing staring, OK there's none of them in the photo (well I did't want to infuriate them did I) - combination of a hot day and squaring up to doing the shopping? who knows there's actually one sitting on the fountain edge behind the bike on a kind of recesssed seat, a farmer looking bloke in a trance, shame I didn't get him in the shot, didn't know whether to feel worried or sorry for him. Best to say nothing and move on methinks

Some of you know that I like a cafe in Hungerford, well it's not a cafe, it's a Deli Call in two days ago on my trip to Bude for a quick snack and cup of tea, different woman there this time to the one usually All goes well, park up outside as per picture below, my mirror is slightly loose so I decide to put a bit of pvc tape on as a temporary method of holding it...but I haven't got anything to cut the tape to length as i'm paying the bill I ask the woman serving if I can borrow some scissors, 'you're not going to stab with them are you' she says I think is she joking? No not entirely I decide so I just say 'of course not, I just want to cut this tape…

I have just bought a YBR 125, 2009 model, and its a lovely bike. However their is one problem I am having, its to do with the electric start, when I turn the key to on all lights work and everything is fine apart from when I hit the electric starter switch nothing happens. It does work of the kick start all the time first time. So is their something that can be done to try and get the electric switch to work again ? When I push the button nothing happens at all no noise from anywhere, its as if I haven't pressed it. Thanks Jack

Say, for example, you were offerred a motorbike, as a project. You already have a motorbike but this one you are offerred is nearly complete, something to work on/restore I know that if it isn't taxed you would have to declare SORN but does it have to be insured? thought I heard something to that effect but not sure and I can't recall where I got that idea from. can you help with this please?

can anybody help please? just missed a pair of second hand boots because i was too slow to make/confirm a last seconds bid - how late do you leave it/or is it better to shove a bid in and risk somebody beating you in the last seconds? I'm new to this stuff but I've seen something else and don't want to mess up second time round..

I'm after some new boots, I bought a pair of Tuzo boots when I first got my bike and although they are waterproof they are falling apart, along with the trousers and jacket I had with them, worst thing I've spent my money on since getting a bike, anyway I fancy a pair of Sidi Adventure boots but don't fancy paying the £320 they want in the shop if I can help it,, Anybody know of any shop's or sites that might be cheaper ?? or any other good boots ?? I must have waterproof boots as I live in wales and all it has done since I bought a bike is rain bloody typical lol.

Just returned from Barton bike night and it was a great night. I met this guy there who seems to be a bike racer or something. There were hundreds of bikes there and one that caught my eye was this one that I had never seen before. Anyone know anything about these bikes? a very unusual design indeed. :?

The Spa Hotel in Saltburn by the Sea is a biker friendly hotel they even suggested we could use the back car park which is more secure and said they could give us rooms overlooking the bikes too, can't fault them. Cheers Ray.

am i the only American on this site? i've noticed that nearly everyone on here is from Europe and haven't seen any other American post yet. how is that? i see nothing on the site that makes it look geared towards one country or continent over another, and the site is simply for yamaha owners. i feel like an outsider.

Director: Steven Soderbergh anybody see it? some sections distinctly uncomfortable to watch, fortunately somebody in the cinema burst out laughing a couple of times which relieved the tension

Ok im winning and back on the bike. All beit cautiously. Sit ups. Re learning my riding position and a forearm brace have improved things. DT is still a total no no as it vibrates too much and its a lot heavier clutch than the TDR oddly enough. Using my legs and stomach to take all the weight off my arms is working well. Helps with cornering quite a bit too. After setting up the bike to get rid of as many vibes as poss. New c+s. Filters and carb set and balance. She is riding real smooth. Anyway on the mend. Just hinges on things not getting worse now im back on the bike.

Can I just say, I'm absolutely loving my new bike! I've just ridden home from Leeds in the rain, cold, wind and fog (over the Pennines) and I have such a grin on my face! Things are definitely easier with a bigger bike. Although I'd still enjoy a trip like that on my YBR, I often found myself having to divert over the Pennines as there's a part of Woodhead Pass that's really exposed to wind. Also when I did my CBT I really struggled with U-turns and the figure of eights. Everything else was fine, but I was paranoid about those for some reason. That carried on through to my first DAS lessons. However my instructor was brilliant (and patient) and I cracked them. My Mod 1 …
