This is a plea to you all especially all UK members. Some of you may not be aware that as of 2014 in the UK the only way to watch Motogp will be to purchase btsport. This is because the BBC have lost the rights to air the series to BT. This cuts out a huge amount of fans from being able to now watch the racing, destroying Dorna's original "free to air" policy. Dorna are monopolizing the Motogp series risking killing off British teams through lack of potential sponsorship, "if nobody's watching so why should we sponsor you" attitude could develop. Please sign and help the UK fans. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/t...in-the-uk/?m=0

so basically i hate my job. Currently working for WGPSN Aberdeen, in office as an apprentice Project Controls Engineer (Costing, estimating, planning etc) i have realised that this is not what i want to do, and despite being promised other opertunities within the company, anyhing is yet to materialise. was speaking to my manager about it and he was saying that during the shutdown period, the contract i am on takes on "greenhats" for extra support - and mentioned that it may be a possibility for me to do this. been looking at doing ether a Stage 1 Rigger course, or Banksman slinger ect, so i have some usefull skills/quilifications to actually get off. Anyone …

well this was my seat as I got the bike and it got worse over the last few weeks. so I decided to get it sorted. I went and saw mat at Caulfield leather in Hyde and he said that the best bet was to get a cover for it and he would fit it. so a while back I got a replacement cover off ebay for £13 delivered, but with the issues with the overheating the new cover has sat in its box in the garage waiting for the fate of the bike to be decided. Now the bike has been sorted out and is running well and I have the day off work I decided that I would get the seat sorted. first things first. take the seat off the bike. this is the underside of the seat. it is in g…

Hello I would like to do some modifications and maintenance on my YBR250. So I'm searching for a service manual for it, but the only ones I could find were in Portuguese, because apparently this model is very popular in Brazil (I don't understand Portuguese). Does anybody know a place where i can download English service manuals? Even on http://yamaha-motor.com they don't seem to provide them. Thanks!

Just got back from a trip out to Willingham woods, well got to as the sun was out. there were three policemen in front of us int he queue for tea and two of them were wearing guns! :? Now I know they are red hot on speeding bikers on that road but i think this is taking it a bit too far! So next time you are hitting the red line down that road better duck as it may not be a radar gun in his hand!

Hey guys, I got back from my short bike adventure late last night, had a wicked time! Here's a breakdown of what I got up to: The trip down Quick check of the bike, loaded up and left Glossop around 11.30pm on Friday. Headed down via Buxton - Leek - Stone - Stafford - Wolverhampton - Kidderminster - Worcester. Absolutely loving the fact that my headlights light my way (as opposed to my YBR)! I ended up joining the M5 at Worcester. It wasn't my original plan, but I rather foolishly left without a map (pretty much the A38 at that point all the way to Tiverton - but I didn't want to risk straying). I was also aware of time - a very short trip and I wan…

Non Yam bike related, so here goes Having neglected working on my 59 Speedtwin for a wee while, I set about it with gusto these last few days. Finished all the wee jobs, added oil and petrol and went to fire it up. 2nd kick having stood unused for God knows how many years so I was all chuffed. I had left the exhaust off so after fitting them I tried it again, Nowt, as in no power....a blown fuse was the culprit however every time I replaced the fuse it would blow again. Tried a few things with the multimeter but all negative results. Finished late last night and asked for help on a couple of Classic bike forums. Anyway back at it today, and having thought about it whi…

My brother has found a terraced house built in 1995 for his daughter and her husband He wants me to give it the once over, although I have some qualifications in that area I suspect that any issues that the couple have with the place will be something I can't anticipate any advice please?, especially those of you who have bought a modern house as to what any potential pitfalls might be seems no sinificant alterations have been made and that it has a new boiler, the roof is just two slopes so no valley gutters - it's a mid terrace (what the neighbours are like isn't my concern)

We like to think that as Bikers we're different to the cagers. This goes to show that scum can ride bikes as well. http://www.hallamfm.co.uk/news/local/3-year-old-girl-in-hit-and-run-with-3-motorbikes-in-rotherham/

Aniother of my travellers tales, coming back from Bude I stopped in the town centre near this fountain looking round the people nearby seemed zombie like just sitting/standing staring, OK there's none of them in the photo (well I did't want to infuriate them did I) - combination of a hot day and squaring up to doing the shopping? who knows there's actually one sitting on the fountain edge behind the bike on a kind of recesssed seat, a farmer looking bloke in a trance, shame I didn't get him in the shot, didn't know whether to feel worried or sorry for him. Best to say nothing and move on methinks

Some of you know that I like a cafe in Hungerford, well it's not a cafe, it's a Deli Call in two days ago on my trip to Bude for a quick snack and cup of tea, different woman there this time to the one usually All goes well, park up outside as per picture below, my mirror is slightly loose so I decide to put a bit of pvc tape on as a temporary method of holding it...but I haven't got anything to cut the tape to length as i'm paying the bill I ask the woman serving if I can borrow some scissors, 'you're not going to stab with them are you' she says I think is she joking? No not entirely I decide so I just say 'of course not, I just want to cut this tape…

I have just bought a YBR 125, 2009 model, and its a lovely bike. However their is one problem I am having, its to do with the electric start, when I turn the key to on all lights work and everything is fine apart from when I hit the electric starter switch nothing happens. It does work of the kick start all the time first time. So is their something that can be done to try and get the electric switch to work again ? When I push the button nothing happens at all no noise from anywhere, its as if I haven't pressed it. Thanks Jack
