Well got the cylinder and head off her!! Doesn't look nice. First glance the head looked fine apart from small dents all over the detention surface. Then the cylinder didn't have any obvious marks or chunks missing but the piston had 1/4 of a ring missing and a few bits lying in bottom end! Also the small end baring where stuff as hell, I had to get a pin and hammer to knock out pin. I've test fitted a new piston and I find when I push in the piston there is resistance at the top of exhaust port so I'm guessing that's not good. Would it be worth getting the dremel out and tryin to smooth over the edge of exhaust port? Cheers Ken

Hey peeps Been drawing up some sketches for project FUCR, the tank that is on it now is fuck ugly and will be going, but inkeeping with the cafe racer them i want to find a smaller (but still large enough for good range) fuel tank, and due to the XZs' design of having the airbox and carbs underneath the tank it would need to have a fairly wide tunnel underneath, since my options for used tanks are limited im wanting to fabricate one. however im not sure wether it would be more beneficial to use aluminium or fibreglass, will most likely be using large blocks of florist foam as templates so actually forming either shouldnt be a problem, only problems i can foresee a…

Thought i would go for a nice little ride through the welsh countryside today. Had a great time, saw some lovely sights. Here's a few pictures of how awesome wales is hahahahah: (do forgive the lack of picture quality, these were taken on my phone) Firstly here's Barmouth bridge (it is 820 m long so just over half a mile of wooden planks, and fuck me do they make a noise) very good fun....the toll is £2.50 to cross on a motorbike HOWEVER there is very rarely anyone there to pay this time of year, in summer months i have been told there is someone there in the daytime. The bridge is open 24/7, i highly recommend you give this ago if you are ever in the Barmout…

Ok so the zipper on one of my coat pockets decided to not work/close and I though I would need to get a new zipper installed. So as usual I call mum ( I dont sew) and she tells me just go get a zipper repair kit.http://seentv.asseenontv.com/search?w=fix%20a%20zipper&asu= Ok so I haven't a clue what I am looking for but the nice ladies at the sewing shop helped and I got this kit form the "as see on tv" company has 6 different sizes to fit any zipper so simple to use. Cut the old pull off and snap the new pull in DONE the zip work like new.15 bucks well spent Just had to share this great product

I have been asked by a friend to disable her sons moped. The donut is riding it without anything and it won't be long until he is lifted. I know I/we should let it happen but unlike this lad I am looking at the bigger picture. In that he has got him self in at a good firm on apprenticeship type scheme via school. His future kinda depends on him getting a tractor licence and he is too stupid to join the dots but the graft he will be doing will make him. He gave £20 for it non runner an to be fair got it running. Option one is sugar in the tank. Down side wrecks engine plus side he will think he it just seized up saving any grief towards his mum. Should he ever find …

Guys, have been trawling the web for a new bike (just sold my R1). Seem to be going round and round in circles and just not finding anything I like... Other than eBay, Gumtree, Autotrader & MCN - where do you look for bikes? Cheers - Boner.
