Back in the day most of us only wore jeans when riding but now there is a huge range of trousers to chose from.I haven't got a huge budget as I've just spent a lot on my xvs1300 but after taking her for a spin yesterday I realise that I'm far too old to ride in the cold without something to help keep me warm. Any tips on choosing a budget pair of trousers would be appreciated.

Afternoon, We've been on here for a while now and to say thanks for your support, we thought we'd have a competition..... Fancy winning a personalised helmet, signed by Foggy? Well now you can. All you have to do is tell us how many Bikesure stands the lovely Hannah has in her possession. One entry per person, PM'd to me, if there is a tie, it will go down to a raffle. Closing date will Monday at 9am. Good luck. Lee

I currently have my camera on my handle bars on the xj6s though the screen but was thinking is this practical or would you put it on the side of the crash helmet for better performance bearing in mind it may fall off? not sure really what to do. Cheers for the advice.

Nicked this off a dutch forum member on xs400.com.... Top tip for a DIY heated jacket - haven't tried it myself yet but I read it works like a charm so basically what you do is you buy some really cheap stuff at Walmart or something (here in holland at Action, Lidl or Aldi supermarkets): - a heated car seat cover which plugs into your 12V car power outlet (the lighter plug thing) - a fleece jacket/vest - a little bit of thread and some nifty handwork - another fleece vest (old, or cheap new) - a 12V car socket to mount onto your bike somewhere so basically you cut along the stitching from the heated seat cover to take out the part that's heated without the i…

Hope I'm posting this in the right area... So, I'm looking for some advice from you knowledgeable bunch. Basically, I've been messing about with clutchless shifting on my Tiger. I'm able to upshift through the gears smoothly and faster than using the clutch. However, I was wondering a couple of things: 1. I read on the net about people saying not to clutchless shift between 1st and 2nd. Is there any reason for this? 2. Does this method cause any problems long term? I know everything wears over time, but is it damaging the transmission prematurely in anyway? I'm reading a lot of "for and against" which is just confusing me somewhat. 3. Should I even be getting into the…

I admit, I am a newbie when it comes to bikes, but I am quite sure a motorbike does not usually have reverse gears. Atleast, to my knowledge, the DT125 LC I got in my garage doesn't. I am also very sure that I am sober in all possible ways, and I am not dreaming... But when I went to the garage today to start the bike in order to drain the carburettor (I am too lazy at the moment to take it apart to emtpy and clean it.. I will later though when my friend comes over to help me replace some parts on the bike that has been worn out by age), the noticed the tachometer needle was going up and then suddenly down completely and moments later the engine died. When I start…

I recently saw a watch I really liked but it was £375, so I thought it was too expensive and did an online search and found the watch for £190 on an online American shop. I then set about persuading my girlfriend why I needed it. Anyway I ordered it but when it came I had to pay £60 odd fucking quid to the UPS guy for tax & customs. I didn't know about this. I still got a good deal though. I've just been looking at guitars and they are hundreds of pounds cheaper than what we pay in the UK. Our Governmnt are really screwing us over, it is ridiculous how much we pay for things. We pay double sometimes for what an American would pay. It's a fucking joke. It is unbelie…
