Well I knew its been coming for a few weeks now, my dog Chunk hasn't been well for a while, we got a ultrasound scan on his kidneys about three weeks ago but the results suggested they were ok, but his blood & urine tests confirmed some sort of kidney damage, we thought it was early stages and just a change of diet would do the trick. But he's been getting steadily worse, he stopped eating a couple of days ago and I knew it was time to end his suffering its the toughest decision I've ever had to make, my whole family are in bits, he was a brilliant dog and loved by all who knew him RIP Chunk.

Just returned from Birmingham, my daughter enticed me to visit her to help with some DIY with the promise to take me to the National Motorcycle Mueseum. Wow what a collection of British bikes, I didn't realise that back in the early 1900's that there were so many British bike manufactures many of whom I had never heard of. I even saw an example of a BSA Golden Flash which I haven't seen since I sold mine 1950 model back in 1969, I thought these could come in handy to sort out some of the nutters on the road today. Didn't know Wilkinson sword made bikes Not seen a Norton like this on the road Kinda liked this folding bike from the early 50's

I seem to have a thing for Suzukis at the moment, went to my local bike shop to get a puncture repaired and guess what bought 2 TS models that have been sat in a garage for some years. Not in the best of condition but I have most of the parts and they are 2 strokes, which I wanted to play with so look at the pictures and weep, what was I thinking? One on top is a TS150 and the one on the bottom is parts of a TS100 got a box of parts that belong to it. Not sure what I will do with them at the moment but shall take the engines out and have a poke round to see if I can get them running, should keep me busy through the winter. SWMBO was not thrilled that I again go out wit…

Hello everyone, I have gotten myself a Yamaha XS400L (that is what it officially say on the paper) but found it might be also called XJ 400 Maxim. It seems a bit special at least what the local shops in Denmark tell me. I have been looking in vain for a luggage holder so I can mount a top case. I tried already ebay and several other accessory vendors. however I have seen a couple of picture on the web of similar machines which had such a thing mounted. So if anyone has a tip or recommendation where to get one I would be thankful. I have some pics and I hope that works Thanks a bunch, Werner

Me, yip, me Out for a run on the bike today and having a great time. Hooning when appropriate and taking it easy when that was needed. During one of the taking it easy parts I was sitting behind a learner driver, 2 - 3 second reactionary gap and singing away to myself, enjoying life. Anyway something catches my attention and I look away to my right and (thank fek) looked back again only to discover the car in front has stopped to turn right. Huge slamming on of brakes and back wheel locking up I managed to stop myself rear ending this learner driver. Got away with that I'll tell you........... Pay attention Jimbo, pay attention

Just over a week ago a true gentleman and fine old friend, Mr Ewen Haldane was killed in a bike accident. Hr Haldane was 86 yrs old and still rode regularly. He also turned up to work in his bike shop every day (half day Wednesday) and always had advice to give whether asked or not. Back in the day he raced in over 15 TTs and in 1954 he achieved his best result by finishing 3rd on his 500cc BSA Gold Star, in the Clubman Senior race. He finished 30 second behind the winner but by his own admission he messed up his fuel stop by overshooting and the resulting stop took over 30s longer than it should have.....Imagine that in your own head. Anyway the auld yin was buried ye…

Hi guys, I've had my Yamaha xvs 125 Dragstar since February this year. Everything has been running fine until now. I'm not sure what is wrong with the bike but it makes a really loud sound even when idling and the top speed is 30mph, people say I should get the engine reconditioned but really would just like to fit a new engine instead, except I can't find a second hand or new engine for my model anywhere. Can you guys help?

Strangely, not a problem with my phone but my TV. Weeks off increasingly dodgy picture and sound quality prompted us to get an aerial engineer out. Well, after a bit of research on his part, he pointed us to the fact that the increase in 4G signals in our area was buggering up the Freeview transmission. Turns out this is increasingly common and the government have ordered the phone companies to set up a free fix. Have you all heard about this and, if so, why didn't anyone tell us?! Anyway, what you have to do is go to this website Put in your 'symptoms' and then call or email them. They will either send out an engineer (FOC) or post you a filter which suppr…

I've just noticed that we can now display our country of origin flag in our profile, Yeah!! But, also I have realised that for us Brits we cannot select individual flags as in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. But what I have noticed in the Union flag is that it's the right way up.
