Does anyone have any recommendations for a good sized and good quality backpack? Current one i'm using is breaking and just a random cheap one. Ok folks just a quickie. Just bought a front mudguard from tinternet, it has a series of numbers preceded by DAT letters, now I assume they are for the purpose of identifying a part of your bike if it's nicked but I'm buggered if I can find any info on the net that tells me how to check if it's legit or not. Actual thing is "DAT0408588" Tried Datatag and anything else I could think of but do any of you know how I find out if this is nicked or not? The reason I ask is that a "NEW" one is about £150 and I paid £15 ! It's not perfect but just wondering if some poor sod is out there damming me to hell for buying bit's of his bike.

I must be the unluckiest bloke in the world coz I get these ppl phoning me up (mainly from India) about MY accident...............................................I LOVE IT!!!! I can't resist winding them up I once kept one bloke on the phone for over half an hour due to the 'slight' language barrier He was 'as we all know' trying to convince me I'd had an accident. I asked him (amongst other nonsense questions) how much my claim was worth. He told me two grand. "Is that all". I asked. So he upped it to four grand, I mean it does pay to bargain, doesn't it! Eventually I addmitted to him that I had, had an accident. "But what ising the accident"? He asked, thinking he…

Hi all, Newbie here, I recently bought an R6 on an 06 plate. I only have one issue and it's the rear can, although it sounds great it is extremely loud whilst riding. It's around the 110db if not louder. It has a Micron can tuned to a power commander 3. Can anyone recommend an alternative albeit quieter option. I'd like to stay away from the stock can as the stubby look suits the bike. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I went to the Docs today and he asked me if I smoked. I told him - no thanks, I'd already had one before coming to see him. He also asked me if I had difficulty in passing water. I told him that I had felt dizzy spell once driving over london bridge.

Hi guys, after working on my DT50 MX for a while I have discovered that the paint overall isn't in the condition I thought it to be. It was originally black by the looks of it but has had many coats of red applied by brush rather crudely and unprofessionally. Therefore I have decided to strip my bike down to the frame and respray it. This doesn't seem too hard, although I have never tried this before and was wondering if it could be done within a week? I hope in this time I can clean the bike up and make it look good as the day it came out the factory! Any tips on doing this? Regards George Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi guys, I've just been out for about a 20 minute ride with a new plug with the right electrode gap and by the way the black oily residue is just racing grease for the threads so nothing to worry about. Im just not totally sure what I should be adjusting according to this plug. Bye for now, Louis P.s the base ring is not black from the racing grease, am I right in thinking this is a rich idle?

Hi guys and gals, ok so I wanted to blank off my egr valve (had a blanking plate and all that ready). I then try to unscrew the 2 bolts that are holding the egr manifold onto the engine and they both are seized and snapped off at the bolt heads resulting in myself trying to drill them out where I was unsuccessful so I came up with a solution to make a flat metal plate with no holes in and gun gum it over the opening but didn't trust that so this is what I've done! (Picture below) I have basically just cleaned the surfaces of the metals, put loctite 638 NEW high strength metal retaining compound around a hex head overlap and glued it in there. I know for a fact it is …

Hello all, just registered and have a feeling I'm already doing things wrong (maybe shouldn't have had that last beer). If I am, please correct me and advise of rules and protocols. I'm an old guy who has picked up biking again after 36 years (I know, I know) and I really enjoy my Dragstar 125. Have already read and been amused by (in a fun way) by some threads. I have never ridden a cruiser before ( I know it's only a baby cruiser) and I understand and appreciate all the comments about how different it is. Having said that, I love it. I love the "smell the roses" feel of it and the fact that (as commented on in the threads) awareness, observation and planning ahead are a…

Ok.. This has been annoying me for a while - has anyone ever seen self adjusting motorcycle screens? As the speed increases they move upwards. I saw a police officer in the US with one but have not been able to find anyone who makes these. Beginning to think I imagined it but I did find a patent for it. http://www.google.co.uk/patents/US7281750 Also came across this which seems pretty cool if that is your thing - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wheelies/wheeliestm-revolutionary-display-for-your-motorcyc

My son rides an Aerox 50yq. We keep going through headlight bulbs and it has been suggested that we have a fault lighting resistor. I cannot seem to find this part anywhere to purchase? I am wondering if I buy a complete headlight kit will this come with a new resistor or will I have the same problem with the new headlight set?

In theory, if I where to add an easily avalable hotter cam to an average engine, say a 500cc twin, what sort of other changes would I have to make? Obviously some carb tuning such as jets and such, but if there anything else I'd need to think about? As far as I can tell it'd just be carb tuning but I thought I'd ask here first just in case.

Hi all, I'm looking to upjet my 1987 DT50 MX which I believe is running a stock TK carb, as I have a full Giannelli exhaust system coming, a 60cc kit installed as well as a performance air filter. Was wondering where I could find any main jets for sale as I can't seem to find any online, or would any old jet be a universal fit? I believe I need a #98 but a set of varied sizes would be useful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
