Heya, Following a long episode of "needs must", I've been forced to get a 'licence to sit in traffic'. After a few months of being a Named on the Mrs's car and putting over 10k miles on the work van (that being the 'needs must' part), I'm now in the market for a cage. So I'm shopping around for inshoo-rance and they all ask how long I've had my licence... Do they mean when I got my 4-wheel category, or just in general? I'd have thought the former, but since I have an accident to declare that occurred *before* I got the B-Cat, I'm wondering if it's actually the latter? Some ask if I have use of another car, while others actually a…

Been looking to buy a tool cabinet since I finished work, had nowhere to put all my tools that I brought home other than in cardboard boxes. Spoted a couple that I might have bought, then spotted this this afternoon on the Halfords website. http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/storage/tool-chests-cabinets/halfords-industrial-6-drawer-ball-bearing-tool-cabinet Nipped down to have a look, decent quality, good size, and the bonus is the top box comes with it, for less then the cost of the cabinet. I reckon thats a good deal, bought the deal, now in my garage waiting to sort the tools out

I have an 82 sr250 which has a port for a kickstarter but did not come with one. It is sold separately by yamaha and it is expensive. I understand one can use the tt250, xt250 or the 87-88 BW 350 kickstarter. I wonder if other model kickstarters would work since I can't find any anywhere here.

Not been on the bike for a couple of weeks due to work, the crap weather and trying to rebuild my shower room but today I threw down my tools and said fuck the diy I feel a ride coming on. I'm ashamed to say that my pride and joy was absolutely coved in dust. It was a little cold but the sun was shining and the sky was blue and I felt alive for the first time in days. Went to one of my favourite haunt's and after a bite to eat spent ages chinwaging with another biker, bloody marvellous must do it again soon.

Fookinell, that's some fearsome flooding you guys are experiencing in Lancashire and Yorkshire. Greater Manchester looks like it has taken a right hammering. Hope you are dry and safe.

The RBL rep for Eccles came round to the scout hut last night and gave us our certificate for the poppy appeal collection. Not only did we beat last years collection by £300, but we were also the group who collected the most money out of all the collectors. Well done 3rd/1st Eccles scouts who collected £974.38

Ok folks I wonder if you have any ideas about this, I want to mount my phone/GPS to the bike but it has no obvious mounting points on it, the bars on the FJR are not round as such so a "normal" clamp won't fit, been racking my brain to come up with an idea on how to mount the thing to the bike but can't think of a way round it, what do you all use? I want it to be waterproof obviously and not rattle around in one of those cheap grip things, a suction cup won't work either (don't trust them to stay on) I could just bung it in the clear part of the tank bag but then I won't be able to adjust it so any obvious or even obscure ideas would be welcome. Oh and there are no "spar…
