Hey guys, I am a new to this forum. I have been racking my brain with this. Here is my dilemma: I just bought a Yamaha Seca xm400j. My problem is 2 fold. I am having an issue finding a new gas tank for it, either used, oem, or aftermarket. The tank has a hole in the right side that the previous owner fixed with JB Weld, and it looks shotty at best. Holds fuel but cosmetically unappealing. I am also having a problem with the charging system. A new battery was installed after sitting all winter, but the bike will not charge the battery. Stator is good, and a new regulator was installed. Anyone else out there have this problem or know of anything else that might help?

So needed some parts so picked this up for cheap. Interested in the exhaust for the XT250..engine cover for the XL185. Non runner but still got nice clocks and most things seem to be there..so will probably be a future project.

Off to Norfolk tomorrow morning to pick up the FJR, really looking forward to the ride home, 200 miles or so and that should blow the cobwebs out of it and me. Will try to do a vid of the ride but hopefully it will be all sweet. Staying off the M25 and M4 going to use the A roads to give it a bit of a workout, if it's anything like my 1200 I might just fill it with fuel and never go home !!

Several years ago the late Mrs meat and myself gave her dad a garden bench for his 80th birthday, Well years roll on and now the house is up for sale, the bench which had been neglected for several years was looking a bit sad but I took it home and spent a day doing a few repairs and a giving it a couple of coats of paint and now sits in my garden where it gets the afternoon and early evening sun, just right to sit down and have a beer or two when I return after a day out on my bike.

Hello! Just wondering does anyone know how many miles roughly you get out of a full tank on a dragstar 650 classic? I'm doing a trip from Belfast to Donegall so just need an idea. I tend to fill up every 65miles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, new member here had my bike for a couple of months and love it, but I had a small accident which ripped the wiring out of the speedo and rev counter, the speedo part was easy as it was just bulbs, but I can't get the Rev counter to work and for some reason the main head light doesn't work on normal but works fine on full beam, if there is anyone out there that has a ybr 125 2005 and wouldn't mind taking a pic of the Rev counter under the outer casing for me, I would be over the moon, cheers all Alex

We have had a good few sunny days but remember to be careful out there. Yesterday there was a collision outside of one of the places I work between a motorbike and a cyclist. The cyclist has died and the biker was critical, last I heard. This was 100 yards from an A&E, major trauma, hospital where your chances of survival are going to be much better. The accident was not a pretty sight - I was on my way from that hospital to the other one I work in. Hospital staff on their way to work left their cars and assisted immediately but the cyclist died. Just a reminder that things happen very quickly; sun or no sun.

TomTom seem to be having a fire sale on their map updates, I assume it's to counter the increasing number of satnavs that come with 'free' lifetime updates out of the box. The last time I checked TomTom wanted over £40 for a UK & ROI update, now down to £14.95 and using the discount code Welcome15_uk I got another £8 off. Shame the powered mount crapped out last week and they don't seem to make replacements for the Rider v2 any longer. Still with a full charge it's likely that my back will fail before the Satnav runs out of charge.

Well, like any good biker, who wants to do their own repairs, the time comes to start building up a toolkit. I currently only have a selection of sockets and wrenches in the usual sizes, to do the most basic of work [which inevitably needs help in putting it back right again ], but what should I start thinking about getting next? What would be your top 5 [no need for all 5] of tools you make the most use out of? Order by priority if you feel. I'm currently thinking a decent torque wrench should be next on the list [but those aren't exactly cheap] Edit(s): So far we have, in no order... A fucking great big hammer Torque wrench(es) Impact wrench Feele…
