I was on my way home from work tonight, riding from Wigan to Bolton when I passed a guy hunched over what looked like a pre war bike at the side of the road. I turned round and pulled up to ask if he needed a hand. Indeed he did, the clutch had failed on what turned out to be a 1933 Coventry Eagle Silent Superb and he was going to need a hand to lift it into his van. I spent a very happy 20 minutes chatting with Brian, the owner whilst we waited for his brother in law to arrive with the van. Describing the Coventry as his 'new' bike Brian told me his usual ride was built in 1903 ! In the 20 minutes I spent there a rider on an MZ also stopped to offer assistance and to ha…

Had a ride up to Darley Moor, took in a days racing. Grass roots stuff, 20 races on the day, and only £12 to get in. Loads of folk there for the weekend camping.

I noticed a couple of things with the update. You may (i was) have been logging in with your log in name, or email address. At the moment that will not work. In this update currently you need to use what used to be your display name. ie what is showed to the forum on your posts/threads. In my case cynic. Do not try to use your email address as the instruction suggests, that does not work. Hope this helps. A lot of the issues seem to be clearing up. So normal (sic) service will be back soon.

  4. Hey guys Im currently riding an SR125. Great bike but really feeling the need for something bigger and two opportunities have just landed in my lap I have two mates selling a bike each. One is a virago 535 for £800 in good condition The other is a 1990 Honda CBR1000 Streetfighter custom build in great condition for the same price (tho i havent seen it yet, seeing it on wednesday) This friend has been building bikes for decades and his work is great I have been riding since October last year and passed my full test in april of this year. I have been looking at cruisers for a long time and the virago seemed like a logical next step enjine size wise but to be h…

Just a quick query, has anyone used this stuff? As I now have the FJR and want to keep it in the best condition I can I was considering using this stuff but don't know enough about it to make a decision. Any thoughts on it would be appreciated. Oh and one other thing it is an expensive option but does last (they say) about 20 years plus it has no corrosion in the engine thus keeping it free from the usual crud that builds up over time even with the best anti-freeze.

Ok, have decided to get rid of the Benelli Trek and now have my eye on: Triumph Tiger 800 Honda Crossrunner 800 Honda CBR600F (new version) Anyone have experience with any of those (Bippo ) that they'd care to share? And yes, I know the Crossrunner looks like a jetski in pictures, I haven't seen one in the flesh yet!

Hello motorcycle racers! I am new to your group! So I decided to buy 125ccm enduro motorcycle (I'm 16 years old). I fell in love with Yamaha DT125. So I have a few questions. 1. Which of the model is the best? (year and model) 2. What is the cost of repairs? 3. What is the fuel consumption? Sorry for mistakes, and thank you for your patience!

Hello folks, You may have seen that i have been restoring a 1976 V50, the project is now complete. The plan was to sell my CB125 once the Yammy was finished but my wife has thrown a large spanner in the works. She has intimated that for my 30th birthday (January) i may be allowed to do a DAS course. I'm wondering whether it would be better to keep the Honda so i can maintain and hone my skills on a motorbike rather than on a moped. If i passed, i would sell whichever bike i had at that point anyway in order to buy a bigger bike, i just wonder if it makes more sense to sell the wee Yam whilst it's the good time to sell and rebuild is fresh? The Honda is a bit ratty b…

Hi folks. I know I'm asking questions a good bit on here recently and I apologise lol I just like to be sure. I'm trying to get my brother who's in work a new battery for his virago, guy was hesitant to sell me one as I didn't have the code. I can't get the code cause my brothers in work and my drags in the garage getting the breaks looked at so I can't ride over to look. Is the code for the battery really important or should I absolutely wait until I get the right code? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm wondering about the front breaks on the dragstar. When I pull on the break it's feels strange, it's like it stops, goes abit, stops, it's sorta hard to explain. When I bought the bike there was 6000 miles on her. I'm wondering should I get new break pads? How are dragstar breaks generally? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Howdy people ! I'm pinching myself ! I just got my new wheels . After 20 odd years of biking everyday , business and pleasure , I picked up a 4 year ban due to an unfortunate incident involving a car , a hedge , police and a judge . I took it on the chin and did my 4 years and was delighted to get my licence back . I wasn't so delighted to to discover that it now had a "Licence Endorsed" stamp on it and 10 penalty points left for good measure . Well , not much point talking to the insurance people just yet, I thought . So , that was three years ago , the points are gone and the endorsement should come off in a bit . , and I'v…
