Went into Poundland in Salisbury today, as like most husbands do, waited at the exit for the for "the wife". Anyway while waiting, was watching the queue at the tills. An old dear went up to the till with a bottle of water and the young lad said "that's two for a pound" and the old dear said "but I only want one" to which the young lad said "but we can't sell only one, you have to have two" To which the old dear said "Well I only want one" then stormed out of the shop. About five minutes later she came back in the shop and sheepishly bought two bottles.

Remember my cyclist video? I had ITN contact me recently asking to use it. Sure, says I, as long as you preface it with the story as I know it, rather than present it just as a cyclist running a red. OK, says them. Flash forward. *Briiiiiing briiiiing* "Hello...?" "Hi! ITN here, we wanna actually interview you for the TV show" Eep.

Well here she is , my first bike in 8yrs , I hope I'm still man enough to tame this mighty beast . My last 6 penalty points will vanish like a puff of smoke on Sept 5th . Funny that , as I don't remember getting 6 points in one day !! Anyway , the penalty point system here is a farce , i.e. you only get points if you don't have a copper in the family /friends circle . F'n disgrace . Roll on September . http://s1298.photobucket.com/user/bigkev777KevtheRev/media/Kevs Pics 014_zpsttsuh3yr.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 Got this for €620 , fitted a rear tyre , fork seals , tapered headrace bearings , C+S and brake pads @ €135 , not too bad I thought . Back in t…

Having been looking around at Dragstars - 650 & 1100s - I've stumbled across a 2010 Triumph America which hasn't even been run in yet. Less than 500 on the clock. In a part ex with my 125 the dealer will let me have it for less than £4000, am I stupid for not immediately biting his arm off? I've ridden it and it is immaculate.

I figured I should give the V twin thing a go. So I've just bought a Virago 535, collecting Wednesday. Just pondering whether to tell my wife or just add it to the 3 others outside the house and hope she doesn't notice. Pictures will follow.....

I no longer have my YBR but still have a set or OEM tyres with about 1000 miles on them - basically new. If any regular member here would like them they can have them for postage. If you are reasonably close to central belt of Scotland - I could be easily persuaded to drop them off. I can post pics if that would help?

Hello, I was hoping someone may be able to help. I have to change the chain etc on my YBR Custom (2011), is there any difference between a chain and sprocket set for a 2010 model to fit the 2011?

Well not just you Paul, but any folk live around you. Had to run from Trafford Park to Derby today and went cross country down the A6 then heading for Chesterfield. Wow I have got to get up there and ride those roads, I think it whenever I run that neck of the woods in the truck but over the last 12mths they have been keeping us local with a lot more drops than distance so this was a treat for me. They thought it was a problem... (huh? great roads and scenery on a beautiful day). Anyway I think im going to go up that way to squires, I keep saying I want to avoid the dual carriageway crap I spend all day on and this year its happening. Run up the A6, then towards Glossop f…

Went for a ride today and stopped for a quick cup of tea, as it happened I met a mate of mine and we got talking to this lovely old lady of 84, turns out she was a biker chick way back in the 50's. I then spent the next hour or so talking to her. She was a district nurse most of her working life and did most of her rounds on various 250's turning up at patients houses in bike leathers. She told me that although she had known her husband for 60 years she wouldn't marry him until he learnt how to ride, she finally agreed to marry him after he took her to the I O M TT and he started riding himself 40 years ago. Sadly she had to give up riding after a parachuting accident wh…

Went for a short ride this evening to my local bike haunt and saw this amazing 1920 AJS, the owner has 12 vintage bikes and plans to get them all on the road, he believes bikes should be ridden not just for show. He bought it as a runner but it hadn't been on the road for years and took him several months to make it road worthy and today was his first test run. He has even got the gas lights fully working so that he can ride at night. Its a bit differen from my V twin

Hello, I've recently started a rebuild project of a 1978 Yamaha xs500 and I'm powdercoating most of it. However the rear wheel has four wheel studs in it and they seem to have rubber in them. Does anyone know if they are capable of coming out in order to be powder coated?
