Ok folks I wonder if you have any ideas about this, I want to mount my phone/GPS to the bike but it has no obvious mounting points on it, the bars on the FJR are not round as such so a "normal" clamp won't fit, been racking my brain to come up with an idea on how to mount the thing to the bike but can't think of a way round it, what do you all use? I want it to be waterproof obviously and not rattle around in one of those cheap grip things, a suction cup won't work either (don't trust them to stay on) I could just bung it in the clear part of the tank bag but then I won't be able to adjust it so any obvious or even obscure ideas would be welcome. Oh and there are no "spar…

Just wondered if anyone had ideas on preventing chipped paint from getting worse? Atm there is a tiny chip in the paintwork. I imagine overtime with weather etc this will get bigger. Any way to stop this? I had a quick look around and someone suggested super glue?

Ladies and Gents im reaching out in my time of need to ask if you would help me on a module on my NVQ which is all down to research and presenting reasoned arguments and evidence. The topic i have come up with for you all to discuss is the growing popularity in manufacture and development of electric powered motorcycles. Now im a big lover of proper fuel powered vehicles and it would be very hard for something to persuade me to sell up and switch to an all electric vehicle but the need to tone down the usage of fossil fuels is well and truly noted and these electric vehicles down have some promising potential. The two bikes to compare are the Harley Davidson Sportster and…

Needed a long range bike for awhile now. Never liked the Yamaha large 4T bikes, always preferred the Honda. Considered the CB750F or CB900F series but then this came up less than a mile from my house..so took the plunge. 1982 CBX1000 Prolink. Another icon from the late seventies and early eighties. Not as desirable as the earlier 79 model yet but think will get there as it has some rather big improvements. Don`t like the custom sprayjob..wud like to get it back to original silver/grey colour. Never seen one with gold rims. It has had a wider rim conversion to take a 160 tyre (which I think suits it). And has a beautiful sounding 6 into 6 exhaust. Only issue..2 of the …

So after 2 years, many close calls, one broken arm and a lot of money spent I finally have a full license. Passed on Tuesday on second test. Almost stopped caring half way through, thinking I'd failed but apparently not. Also had a wasp join me inside my helmet for the last half. Which was lovely.

These days I am a fair weather rider as all my riding is purely for fun but I do try to get out as much as possible all year round. Last Saturday after a brilliant days riding I had a reality check as the temperature plummeted on my way home and the chill started to seeped through my leathers. Unlike my previous textile gear my leathers are a snug fit so I can't wear all that crap I used to wear to keep warm so its time to invest in some new gear that I can wear under my leathers that will hopefully keep out some of the cold. Any suggestions that you guys and girls have would be appreciated.

Does anyone know how I can get hold of a new loom for my 1994 yamaha tzr125rr? Cuz apparently they're discontinued, and I'm currently rebuilding my bike, the previous owner has fucked with the loom and now, even though it's all connected, it's not working :/ I've checked current and resistance in the wires and the red one doesn't have anything, all the earth's are fine, the fuse box and battery too, I dunno if any other loom will fit, any idea guys?

Well it sure looked to me as if Marquez was riding shotgun for Lorenzo today , not one attempt to overtake until Pedroza went past but he sure got his finger out until he regained second place . I always thought team mates would be on the same brand of bike ! Hard luck for Vale but I'm sure he'll repay what's due next year !! Is anybody still doubting that Rossi was the victim at Sepang ?

Hi everyoneI am new to all this so you will have to excuse me and sounding like a bit of noob. I posted a message in the newbie area so as to introduce myself a couple of days ago. I have a couple of questions guys and would appreciate some help. I recently purchased a Yamaha XVS 125 2004 model. It is in great condition. 1 previous owner. I am using the bike for commuting (I am a mature student) and to start enjoy biking, to learn about motorcycles etc... I am looking to do my DAS around April but probably wont be able to buy the bigger bike until September next year due to funds. I bought some Highway Hawks which I found on eBay. Can I fit these without the need for a …

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you all know about the latest edition of Influx Magazine, the motoring mag put together by us here at Bikesure. Last month we headed down to Pendine Sands to look at the UK vintage hot rod scene, whilst this month we jetted off to California to speak to our American cousins about alternative bike culture. Earlier this year we ran an edition about the bike scene here in England, including the alt. bike event Dirtquake. This month we attended the Californian equivalent, filming the dirt track in Perris, and chatting to bikers about what makes the event unique. We’ve also got articles on Bud Ekins, arguably the king of Cali bike cult…

Hi all I'm a newbie to this site and will appreciate any help anyone can give. Right, here's my problem, a while back my speedo went to zero whilst riding, a few kilometres later it came back to normal, it happened twice, same thing. Last week it packed in totally, I am not a techno wizard or an ace mechanic but will have a go. Is there any way or test to find out if the speed sensor is working before I buy a new one? I've checked all fuses, no nipped wires and the toothed cog seems in good order eg no visible signs of being loose. Bike in question is a 99 xvs dragstar 1100 Thanks in advance.
