  2. Hi guys, I'm swapping out the stock indicators on my YBR for my dads old XJR 1300's. Coming out of one of the indicators are two yellow wires - tell me if I'm wrong (are both ground)? And on the other, ones yellow and ones green. Should one not be ground and one positive? Cheers, louis

Afternoon all, This weekend I'll be cycling around 150 miles, from Whitehaven to Sunderland, with another 25 riders that my wife and I have conscripted - all to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Both Liz and I have lost our fathers to cancer in recent years, as well as other friends and relatives, and we can't thank the Macmillan Nurses enough for the help and support they've given to all cancer patients. To help them, we're doing this challenge to raise as much money for them as possible, so that they can keep on helping all of our families, friends and colleagues, through their suffering. We would greatly appreciate it if you could find it in…

So I have been back on the road a month or so. This morning I wake up to a lovely brown letter falling through my door. 'The alleged contravention of 38j;Failing to comply with a sign indicating that vehicular traffic must pass to the specified side of the sign.' I can either pay £65 now or appeal and possibly end up paying £130. They have sent through 2 images. One shows me filtering down past traffic, second shows me about 40 meters further down the road.. still filtering past traffic. Neither shows me passing the sign on the incorrect side. Does anyone think that is grounds for appeal? Should I just pay and get it out the way? I can honestly say I have no idea …

...............................so being that this subject is one step away from a oil thread, i shall try and tread lightly. This is based on MY personal experience having lined about a dozen tanks. POR-15 is my elixir of choice, im sure they are others that work, this is the one i use and continue to use because it works for me. Today was a new one for me, i picked up a really nice 4000 mile GT500 the other week, it had been lined badly with Kreem, the lining had not covered the tank completely and had failed. So this time i got the POR kit with the tank sealer remover, i was a bit dubious as ive heard that this stuff is pretty much impossible to get out…

  14. I have a yamaha LS2-100 that will not run. I have been riding it for about 6 months with a new top end. It ran perfectly until it bogged out during a ride. I just figured it was a carb issue, but that's not the case. I cleaned the carbs twice and cleaned the gas tank. Also put brand new plugs in it. I finally got it to idle fine, but as soon as I take it off the stand and put it in gear it instantly dies. I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ok here's an odd one for you, just looking at a thread someone put up saying they could not secure their helmet inside the little Neos 50 they owned and what lid would fit in the supplied hole under the seat, so I had a thought about my own helmet, it has one of the new attachments that click together rather than the old "D" ring type fitting, so my question is (at last I hear you say) how do you secure a "new" style helmet to your bike helmet lock? There is no obvious attachment I can see on the lid for this to work, am I missing something or is it expected that you carry your lid around all day. Just one of those things that pop into your head now and then, anyone got …

As above bought this the other day and tried it out on a journey to Portsmouth, really good piece of kit if you have a Sat Nav on your bike, you can even use it with gloves on through the plastic facia which is a bonus when you f**k it up and get lost (see trip to London) SWMBO thinks I'm raving to buy one but finally decided that I'm fed up with having to ask the bloody directions from the local numpty !! It's only £12 from Amazon Plus P+P so a no brainer really, just thought you might be interested. Made my own mount for it using one of the unused mirror mounts on the FJR.

  17. I don't know if its because I do more pleasure riding these days rather than commuting, but I have noticed over the last couple of years that here in Surrey there seems to be a lot more vintage British bikes on the road, some of them beautifully restored. At one of my local bike haunts there are nearly always at least a couple turn up. I wasn't disappointed yesterday morning when these two showed up.

Well, the Peeps at Yamahahahahahahahaha have made some interesting things for us to play in the snow with. These sleds where made between 1992 and 1997, the black one i 750 and the red one is a 800. they are 4 cylinder 2 strokes(and no they do not share a single common part with TZs} They are about 160hp- and 170hp...............................and do about 7mpg when you are on the la la button. They are mildly ported, boyesen reeds , dial a jets and of course pipes. They are biblically fast.

Need help guys. My 650 was going great to last week. Pesky intermitent problem. When give her a bit of throttle she is cutting out sometimes. I left it in to get checked but mechanic cud find nothing wrong when he rode it around yard. I thought maybe dirty carbs. Strange thing, when I put her in my garage last night all electric power went off. Took battery bay cover off. What ever I touched whilst doing this the electric power went back on. Could this all be a loose electrical connection - intermittent throttle and all electrics failing once. Battery is fine only 6 weeks old. Where do I start? Jonny Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

Hi Folks, just asking if any of you drive/ride through London on a regular basis? I have to go to a funeral in South London later in the week and was debating going straight through the centre or would it be best to go around on the M25? I love filtering but not sure if the centre is a wise idea or not, any advice as to the best way would be welcome. Also can I use Bus lanes in London? Make my life a lot easier if I can but don't want to just chance it. Thanks all. Sorry should have said I'm coming from the M4 Heathrow direction.
