Its tomoroow for me, looks to be the best day for weather. Not much on the shopping list this year, cant be much ive not got. On the list though, are knee sliders, PlusGas (if its still made), WD40, maybe a decent pair of short gloves, and anything that takes my fancy.

Just spotted this forum. I've just ordered my first Yamaha and collect it next week. I'm a clubman motocrosser that's only just got back into racing after 9 years of cycling...which didn't fulfill the buzz I needed. So a 17my Yz450f is being prepped with a few extras. Thought joing this would be wise as these fuel injected bikes with attachable tuning computers aren't as simple as an auld 2 smoker used to be...hope I don't need to much help if any.

When I got home from work tonight I planned on a nice relaxing evening and an early night. How fucking wrong was I! Come home to find scaffolding erected on my house. I automatically phoned the landlord and he doesn't have a clue. So I asked all the neighbours on the street, the next street and the next street up. No one has any idea. My bedroom windows were open so I could of easily been burgled. I know I'm probably overreacting and it's just probably a mix up but you know me, now I'm thinking some gypsies are going to turn up on my door demanding cash! The scaffolding looks shoddy, no company sign or any identifying features. It doesn't even look safe. I've just had to …

Afternoon all hope you are all well. Just after a bit of advice regarding the cost of services and new tyres. I have a diversion xj6 and have had it for about 6 months now and have racked up 6000 miles, yes a lot of commuting!!!!!! I have booked in for a service and they have quoted me £195 for this. Is this about average? Also the bike came with Battalax tyres, not sure how new they were, and I have now done 6000 miles so they need a change as the steering feels a bit funny. The quote they gave me for these tyres is £268 for the pair!! Again is this about right? Do you have any recommendations for good commuting tyres? Thanks again D

So a few months ago I got myself my first "click type" torque wrench, loved the thing. And me being the stupid prat I am I got it out just now to torque up my brake caliper bolts and managed to wind the fucking thing past the 0 mark. Only by a little bit, but I still want to know if I should really worry about the accuracy of the wrench much, I wouldn't think it matters a whole lot, it's practically a brand new wrench, only used a hanfull of times. Any thoughts?

Hey, so I have had a broken jaw for 2 weeks now, first week I was riding my bike as A&E told me is was just bruised, my got putting the helmet on hurt, which of course because jaw is broken! Im going to call doctors tomorrow ask them, but surly my helmet shouldn't affect my jaw after 2 weeks, it might push it very slightly but shouldn't put too much pressure on it now right? I need to get out! sick of sitting in my room eating yogurts and soup! Get the metal plates and stuff out of my mouth in 3 weeks.

First of all is like to say hi to everyone as this is my first post, in looking for advice if possible about a used xmax 125 2012, it's done 20000 miles so quite high but says it's had clutch, belt, rollers etc done, I was wondering if anyone else could tell me about the reliability of the xmax as 20000 seems quite high on a 125. any thoughts welcome, price is £1500 thanks all, Chris

Posted a while back when i had just got my Yamaha YBR Custom, got my CBT yesterday and had my first ride out on the road today. Did a whole circuit around Loch Ness, lived right next to it all my life but I still found 60 miles of roads with stunning views i never even knew existed before today! If cruising is your thing then it's definitely i must ride before you die.

So peeps, just pulled the plug on the DT to have a look-see after this weekend. Not done a proper plug chop but considering the way I've been riding it (hard) I'd say it's a decent indicator. Comparing it to charts online I'd say it's OK but wanted some more experienced opinions? Cheers! Sent from my E6553 using Tapatalk

Saw this parked up while I was out on the push bike a couple of weeks ago. In really good order, 10k on the clock, and not seen one before. Lovely bike, in unrestored original condition

On Wed I was riding alone the M40 on my way to meet my daughter, I was in the outside lane following a Discovery doing about 80 when suddenly the car in front of it flipped sideways, somehow the discovery swerved and missed it by inches and was fighting for control in the middle lane, as luck would have it my exit was coming up and I was already preparing to move over to the inside lane so I gunned it and went for the safe gap that was there as utter mayhem unfolded behind me. It took a quite a while for my heart slow down and my bum to stop twiching, I like to think that it was quick reactions that saved me from being toast but really it was mostly just plain fucking luc…

Good evening all, hope you're all well, I'm a brand new user to this forum and I was hoping to post an advertisement in the "For Sale" section of the website but it is greyed out for me, just wondered if it was a permissions thing because I'm new or something. Thanks very much.

Hello all, This is my first bit of content on here, but I have been a silent voyeur for a while. Lurking in the shadows, trying for the life of me to understand why my bloody bike isn't working. I have taken on a lot of info and tried fruitlessly to solve the issues, but there's something not right. Its a 78' xs250, SOHC, of course. I completely took it to pieces, down to every last bolt. Did everything I could right, all the engine cases got vapour blasted, new stainless steen bolt kit, new gaskets, fresh everything. New coils, new, condensor, new timing chain. But my bike just doesn't want to go. I had an engine, that had a broken kickstart journ…

Unfortuantly I never got to ride with my dad who rode all his life as we lost him before I was old enough to ride, so when my daughter who's just passed her test suggested we go for a ride I jumped at the chance. We meet at Chipping Norton which is about one and a half hours ride for each of us had a pub lunch and then spent several hours riding around the cotswolds. It was brilliant, the sun shone the roads were quite and seeing my little girl (alright she's 30 but still my little girl) ride safely and with confidence was a real pleasure. Ended up back in Chipping for a cream tea (why do dad's always pay) and then had a leisurly evening ride home. I've been for a rid…
