Ok folks just a quick question, just been out on the bike running well no major problems when suddenly I get this rattle, not there all the time and coming from the right side of the engine down low, only comes on at 4.5K revs and above and as soon as you throttle off it goes away. Oh it's in all gears not just top so I'm thinking it's a component and not an end type knock or clatter. I'm thinking cam chain tensioner has let go or on the way out but any other ideas ? Thanks lads.

Stepping hill hospital have given me an xray, aircast plastic boot, and crutches to repair my fractured cuboid and no 5 metatarsal bone. Is there anything you guys recommend that can speed up healing from experience? Am told to do nothing lie on the settee but elevate it. Regards Simon

Ok boys and girls just a quick couple of questions. As you know I bought the spare engine for the FJR and it's just sitting in the garage minding it's own business. What I want to do is ask how can I keep the internals from turning into great rusty lumps of iron till I get round to dealing with it? I was thinking of refilling it with fresh oil, none in it at the moment, and just turning it over every few weeks to make sure there is at least the bare minimum of oil spread around the engine to stop it getting too dry inside but that's ok for most of the engine but what about the bores and seals that are above the oil line? It's not what you could call user friendly in that …

Hello guys be great if someone helps me fix my problem I just recently bought a Dt125r with a problem with the headlight and back light not working thought would be easy but can't figure out what's wrong I've studied a wiring diagram and have noticed the headlight runs from the stator? But my stator seems fine as bike starts etc without battery connected . The loom that is kn the bike is a 3rm I was just wondering if this is the right loom or do I need a 3bn? If it is right any ideas to figure out what's wrong?

Hi all, This is my first post so I hope I'm doing this right! But I was hoping to seek advice with an issue I have with my 2002 Dt 125. The bike was in full road worthy condition in January but was taken off the road for the rest of winter so it could receive some needed attention (re-sprayed fuel tank, sandblasted parts etc). Now it's coming into summer I've rebuilt the bike, everything appeared to be fine (bike started first kick!!) but I've lost all electrics controlled on the handlebars (all headlights, side light, indicators and horn). Electrics is not my strong point and I've done my best with a multi meter to diagnose any obvious issues but found nothing. I'v…

  15. Has anyone had a Yamaha Dragstar stolen in Leeds/Bradford area. Burnt orange colour, chrome mirrors. Possibly 64 plate. Bike spotted racing through Calverley then I have seen it 4 times between 5.45am and 6.45am in Harrogate Road/Greengates area of North Bradford. Three males in tracksuits on the bike, no crash helmets revving it engine off making it backfire. One of them is filming themselves racing around on the bike. I have reported it to West Yorkshire Police. Phone 101 and quote log 314.

I know this is not something we normally do on here (Politics) and I'm NOT having a shout about what happened but quite a lot of our folks on here come from Manchester and the surrounding area, are you all ok? and is there anything we can do to help? Stay safe out there.

  19. Hi All. Over the weekend of 27th-29th May, my wife and I have organised (for the 10th consecutive time) an annual 150 mile Cycle Ride across the UK from "Coast to Coast", to raise money for a very deserving cause - Macmillan Cancer Support. Many here know this, but for those who don't, Macmillan provide free care and support, both at hospital and in-home, for cancer sufferers (and where necessary, their families) which is only made possible by people making donations and carrying out fundraising activities. Liz and I have both lost our father's to Cancer, in both cases their suffering lasted a period of years, rather than weeks - and we have a number of other family…

Hi all, Hope everyones enjoying the weather!! Got a question regarding using Rok Straps with my MT-125. I have no idea how to anchor the bloody thing I've been trying for quite some time now. My ideas are using the original tail as it protrudes out a little however not sure if it'll break mid-ride. Any one got any ideas. Thanks!
