  1. Happy birthday! Good on you - enjoy it while you can! When I was on my way camping last week I saw an old woman chugging down the A6 towards Buxton on a moped. Open face helmet, anorak, twisty road and the most content smile on her face. She must have been in her late 60's. I want to be that woman when I'm older! Preferably still on a geared bike, but hey, I'll have to see what arthritis is doing to me hands...!
  2. Excellent Slice! So with that you'll definitely be on for the Squires meet this year, eh?! You'll be able to swing by and pick us all up en route too!
  3. Ha ha! Luckily not anymore as it's not very spacious with him inside! When he was younger though... Yes it did stink...!
  4. So Netherlands has been postponed. As a result I crammed in a blast around the Peak last night - 100 miles of bliss as haven't been out on the bike in a while and was beginning to get itchy feet! And this weekend I've decided to battle the rain and go camping with my hound. So I'm afraid I won't be joining you guys - but have fun!

Ha ha, yes I guess I am - although not to some folk!
  7. That's why I enquired about mileage Cynic. Over 12,000 on mine and still ample life left...

Brilliant stuff! Happy birthday Jimmy! I hit the big three-zero next month... I'm catching you up, ha ha!
  9. How many miles have you racked up on this bike of yours now? Still enjoying it?
  10. I'm in if Sacha is... Ha ha!

    Passed!

Congratulations! Just in time for the good weather too. Huzzah!
  12. I'll certainly try - might be in the Netherlands then though.

    Saddle sore

On the Street Triple? With great pain!! Although I must be crazy as I'm planning on doing the 2000 mile one this year...
  14. Yeah I wouldn't stress about not knowing the area. I didn't (and still don't!) know the area I did my test in. In addition to that the instructors radio wasn't working so he gave me instructions in advance and I needed to memorise them. Talk about stress, lol! I was completely lost but even I still passed. Don't stress about it - that's where you'll go wrong.
  15. In addition to DDT's comments: - Stay calm. - Take your time. They will give you instructions in ample time so everything should be calm. - Pay real attention to road signs so not to accidentally creep along slightly fast than you should etc. Good luck!
  16. Maybe we can find out at Squires, haha!

    One hit wonders

Nina Simone... My mum is a huge fan and named me after her (even though it was her stage name). But then again, who wants to be called Eunice?!
  18. Certainly not Kev... The sight of me in one of those would make you guys sick, trust me...!
  19. Congratulations! Well done you. Onto the next eh? Have you got MOD 2 booked? Don't leave it too long as they get busy coming into nicer weather.
  20. Afraid I can't specifically speak for the XJ. I've got a Triumph ST. Got over 12,000 miles out of my Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres thus far. Back looks a little square, but still legal. Front is holding up great. Road through winter with no worrying squirms out of them. Next tyres will be Michelin PR4's. Changed to them with the Tiger and they felt great. Generally very positive reviews about them across forums and different styles of bikes.
  21. Not out on my bike unfortunately... Over to the North York Moors in the Landy to give the dog a good walk. Great roads, so I was a little jealous seeing all the bikes out... Glad to hear you got out though Tommy!
  22. I have to agree with Cynic, all I see are new bikes when I commute into Central London. For a while my daily commute on the bike was Fleet Street. Now I just go there occasionally - thankfully! Absolutely hate the ride, mind!
  23. I've noticed that most of the videos Drewps put up don't display in Tapatalk. Not all, but most. I don't know why? But it's no bother as if ever the video is missing I just tap those three dots up in the top right corner and select web view. They then display via Safari and you can sit back and enjoy the delights of Drewpys mind... Although in all fairness this particular video is a cracker!
