Yes peeps, it's been a few months since I had something new to play with, this FJ1100 was actually a freebie from the same guy I bought my FJ1200 from, story goes that it had its running gear pinched for a trike project and the rest was stored until I was given it many years later. I have already sourced an engine and most of the missing parts from a donor FJ I split for parts last month, I do like the smaller front fairing though

Well after some theiving little shitbag decided to nick the battery and headlight (which i never even got a chance to use!) i felt a little bit pissed off and lost what little enthusiasm i had left. then i spotted a cafe racer fairing for sale on eBay... 99p... oh go on then, id had a few drinkies by this point, low and behold i won it. next was a chromed 7" headlight off an XS250, aswell as an old kawasaki Z250 tail unit from a facebook group, so hopefully after this weekend all my parts will have arrived and i can start piecing it back together again.

What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. A little carpaccio horse with a dollop of horseradish (cough) has got to make a decent breakfast.

can I just throw 2p down the safety well on this one, Ive been biking now for something that must equate to 2 normal life times. Ive seen mates of mine injured and I have also seen mates of mine die, I've had mates lose limbs some of them were unlucky enough to lose more than one limb.anyway, point is that some wore leather some did not the fact of the matter is that they all got hurt, basically it is all just luck of the draw no matter what we wear when biking, sure leathers will save you more than cloth from the stupid stuff like gravel rash and in the more serious accidents it will hold you together instead of the ambulance man going to look see where your arm or leg is laying..whatever you guys and girl decide to wear its all gonna hurt one way other the other come a nasty spill, so take it easy and be a safe as you can eh.

Cynic won't like me - it's high 30s here (lots of apotheke thermos showing 40+). i decided to ride to Grand Ballon this afteroon, along the Route de Cretes. so hot I was sweating badly, so jacket went in my topbox and up the Autoroute in T-shirt and biker trousers. Did the mountain passes with jacket on, but back down in the Rhine valley still to hot, so jacket off and back up the autoroute in t shirt. Dodgy, but better than boil-in-a-bag Merv. Worst injury sustained some sunburn....

i know of a lady wearing only her shorts and vest whilst on holiday. who took a fall, well it was more of a slip than a fall. her knee was badly grazed and twenty years later she still bears the scars from that fall , and this was at walking pace. it was fuckin funny to watch though. no dignity , just went down and said oh bollocks that'l leave a mark.
