HEllo everyone, Daffyduc here. I've had a licence for more years than I care to remember, my first bike was a BSA Bantam! I bought my XJ6 Diversion 18 months ago to tour on. I'm barely 5' 4" so most 'true' touring bikes are too big and heavy for me. I've done 5000 plus miles on it so far and am very pleased with it, though the comments made regarding it's touring capacity, mainly from the Pan European and GS 1200 owners, irritate me at times. Other half has a GS, but he knows better, understands the height and weight issues I have with bikes and recommended the diversion anyway. I'm happy, tours at high speeds on motorways and agile on the twisty, keeps up with other b…

HI all learned Yamaha owners - I am new to Yamahas although i have a Suzuki in the past - i have recently bought the TX750 OHC and realising parts are scarce in the UK i was wondering what parts from other Yams retrofit? starters solenoids master cylinders and calipers - any info from other TX owners 500/750 or access to new old stock would be great. It seems i have a mountain to climb. Currently i have a starter issue - got 12v at the starter throught the solenoid and amps to turn it direct from a free standing battery and thick jump cables but its clicking at the solenoid when i wire the battery in to the bike it seems like the cables are too small or the starter …

Hey guys, thanks for having me! I'm Adam. I've had my XT225 for 5 years now and take part in trials (Holsworthy Motor Club, Lands End & Exeter Trials, and others). At the end of the month I'm picking up an FZ6 which I'm very excited about. Thought it'd be a good idea to sign up to a Yammy forum for hints and tips. I'm off to have a look around... Cheers!

I'm Graham from the Wirral, near Liverpool. After scooting around on my Aprilia SR 50 for a while to get my confidence up, I've taken the jump onto a 1993 TDR 125. The last time I rode a bike with gears was about 25 years ago (I'm now 35) and the thought of doing it was a bit daunting until I had a go on my friends DT 125 the other week. I wasn't as bad as I expected so I went on the hunt for a bargain bike to start with. Then, I managed to pick up the TDR for £450. It only needed a kick start pedal, new clutch/brake levers and a few panel screws/bolts replacing and a good few Monster Energy stickers removing as they looked tacky. Future plans are - R…

Hi. Just thought I'd say a few words. I think im going through a mid life crisis, just purchased a 2005 fjr1300A and love it, I've had the bike for about 3 months now but not to sure if I've done the right thing. I say that as in this time I have covered about 70 miles, I had a bike a few years ago but at that time quite a few of my friends also had bikes so we use to go out together on ride outs, things have changed now, people get older( I'm 49) and do there own thing. I live in Hinckley, Leics and the only bike club going is for Triumph owners. Going out on your own is not as much fun as with riding out as a group. I think I'll keep the bike, its not my main mode of tra…

Hi I'm 23 and travel 55miles to work so decided that I wanted a bike as its a far cheaper way to get about and a lot more fun, so did my CBT and went searching for 125s. I read a lot of reviews on all sorts of bikes and decided to stick with a Japanese bike over a cheap Chinese one. I also wanted a comfy one and had a look at crusers. The XV had caught my eye and had brilliant reviews so I decided to go and have a look at one I had seen for sale for £900. I met a woman who was selling it on behalf of her son and claimed he had hardly used it and it was always dry stored. The bike had a little cosmetic damage where it had been dropped in the past and light paint damage…

Greetings all, My names Andy and I'm having a classic mid life crisis, Ive recently separated from my wife and one of the things she would never let me have was a bike. So now I'm getting one! When I was a lad (I'm 36 now) I used to run motocross/ field bikes and has a suzuki ZR50 when I was 16. I'm looking to start steady and am doing my CBT next week, and after looking at the options (I toyed with a 90s 125 enduro but think I'll go for something newer) fancy a nice late model DT125RE to bez about on till I decide what step to take next. Thought I would join this forum to say hello and get some advice on what to look for and/or maybe find a bike here.

Just joined the Forum having bought a Yamaha XJ600N last week. Been riding for over 30 years - started with an old RS100, before having in order (sorry but going to use the name of a few other manufacturers now) Suzuki X7 & GSX400, Kawasaki Z250, Keeway 250 Cruiser (well it was my first time back on a bike after a 19 year gap!), Fazer FZS600, Suzuki GSX750ES & Kawasaki Z550 Limited. Bike history out of the way - approaching 50 and commute to the office everyday come rain or shine. Do most of my own work on my bikes but Mrs BristolWhite has banned me from touching the new one..lol Looking forward to joining in on the forums. Cheers!

Hello all, First time Yamaha owner. I had already posted a topic in the help/repair forums, but was told by another member that it might help to say "hello" first. Name's Jarrod. I love the vintage Endurop bikes. I have an older Suzuki and a KE100. Something about the older bike gometry that I am fond of. I recently picked up a 1988 DT50 for some youngins in my family to learn to shift on. If anyone has any tips, help, two cents, comments from the peanut gallery, or any other advice from sages of old... feel free to pass them on. And if you know about DT50 throttles... check out my other thread Thanks all and take care, Jarrod
