Hi all, I'm Conna from the West Midlands. I'm about to have a mid life crisis as it's my 50th birthday on 6th June. I used to have bikes in my youth but haven't ridden one in years. However, I have been wanting to get a bike again for the last few years and I feel now it the right time for me. I am so hooked on getting a Yamaha vstar 250 but I can't seem to find any for sale anywhere. I know they are sold on the US market but why not here in the UK? I guess I'll just have to keep looking for a second hand one. If anyone knows where there is one for sale in excellent condition please let me know. Regards Conna.

Can someone tell me the true HP of my 2009 Stratoliner? Love the bike, except it needs a shorter windshield. Also, does anyone else hear what sounds like screaming crickets at about 2500 rpm? Thanks

As the years seem to pass by images of motorcycles past keep flashing in my thoughts so I thought I'd do a project restoring a '79 DT125F. That model was my first bike, as super cool enduro that allowed me freedom to move about. There were many miles put on that bike scooting around town and back roads in Kansas. I found an add for one with a parts bike for $300 and thought what the heck, I'm not getting any younger so I bought them. Here's the image of my bike in '81 that is burned into my brain pan. Here is what I'm starting with now... AND Neither have been started since the mid '90s but they both turn over. I have everythin…

Greetings peeps and hello New Yamaha owner with a shiny new Fazer 800 just nicely run in. I also have two trials bikes to play on so i am not short of toys. Off on a weeks holiday with the boss soon touring round Dorset before BSBs at Cadwell and then to Le Mans for the 24 hour bike race in sept Previous bikes have been 2010 Kawasaki ZX6R Ninja, 2001 Honda Hornet, Yamaha RD50 and FS1E when i was a little bit younger. Have done a couple of trackdays at Cadwell and fancy Snetterton, Donington, Oulton Park and Anglesey for the future. I reach the magical age of fifteen (51) this week and when i cant throw my leg over something with two wheels nail the lid on …

Hello everyone. Tavish here from Bombay, India. I have about 9 years of riding and a few years of fixing, tuning, restoring motorcycles behind me. I came to London to do my MSc in Motorcycle Engineering to continue on my chosen career path so it goes without saying I explored all the new bikes and roads and general motorcycling in the country and I do absolutely love it. Maybe not so keen on the grip of the law (am used to a bit of harmless anarchy) but overall a great motorcycling nation I think. Had an international license for a year so got around on a cheap GPZ500S during my student days. Once it expired I bought a '99 ZX6R and went through the intense process …

Hello, New member who, like a lot of others no doubt, turns to you in times of strife to appeal to your better nature and superior knowledge. I have recently purchased an '89 DTR125R, but also run an 09 Kawasaki Z1000 and, occasionally (I can't fold up into position any more) a Ducati 900ssie. Hope to speak with some of your enlightened members on the 'Why won't it run properly pages' lol

Hello everyone Murf here from Hamilton New Zealand. Kids have left home and I am getting back into riding again. Starting carefully with a 2005 250 Virago, have had it for 2 months and absolutely love it.Going for a weekend cruise and winding through the country roads is awesome. I am already looking around for my next bike. Have fallen rather badly for the XVS 950a. To me it looks like my dream bike, my only concern is the footboard clearance. I am still a few months from a new purchase I want to get a few more thousand Kms on the Virago first. If any 950 riders could set my mind at rest I would hate to settle for another bike because I was to worried about the footboard…

Morning folks I have discovered the forum whilst searching for a solution to a wee problem with my boys 1992 sr125. I will post the issue in the tech section. I've been riding bikes since 1981, and currently I ride a 1997 xjr1200 in Deep Red. I have owned it for just over a year and consider myself lucky to still have my licence. Being used to old Brit bikes, it has been an eyeopener getting used to a very responsive throttle. Anyway I'm looking forward to checking the forum and posting here and there
