Even tho I have been a member for a year I have never said hello. Very rude of me! Apologies to all. Sooo, hello all. My name Kristian, I’m relatively new to the biking world even tho I have wanted one for many years! I am currently riding my dream bike, an R1. I’m lucky where I live as I have the yorkshire dales on my doorstep and easy to get to the lakes for some good rides out. I’m a member if this group to learn from like minded people and most probably ask for advice. Hopefully making new friends to ride out with along the way. Thank you for reading my post and again I apologise for the delay in posting. KB Edit: P.S it’s not usually…

I recently picked up a 650 Dragstar and decided to bobber it and whilst looking for answers on the internet many of my questions bought me to here so I thought it only fair to sign up with a paid membership. I've been riding since the 80's but in the last 20 years or so I've only really ever kept a bike for less than a year as I could not get it through the side doors into my back garden and I didn't just want to leave it on the drive. Anyway my wife decided she wanted to start riding last year so she passed her CBT and got herself a YBR125. She's a bit of a rock chick so I bought her a Dragstar 125 for Christmas and after looking at it on the drive for a few weeks I…

Hey there, So, i'm Josh, 26 years young, from the UK. I'm relatively new to the bike scene though I've always loved them and have found this Forum to be very useful, so here I am :), as what seems to be very common practice, my first bike is the Yamaha XVS 125 Dragstar, slightly customised. Sadly, my baby does require some work in order to get her road worthy, downside of second hand purchases Being a complete novice i'm wanting to be sure before I buy the parts that they will be right, so my question, my rear wheel apparently needs to be replaced due to "cracks in the drum" fair enough, which leads me to the help I need, my bike is the 2001 m…

Hi all. Newbie to the site. Only Yamahas I own (and have ever owned) are a couple YBRs. Had 4 over the past 12 years. Thought I'd join up and see what's going on in the YBR community (if there is one). Also own a 2007 Aprilia RSV1000R and a 1968 BSA Bantam D14. Hopefully a Husqvarna Vitpilen will be joining the garage soon. Photos below (if this works). Ade

Awaiting delivery of my 1965 YDS3, all the way from Colorado to the UK. It should be here by mid to end January, 2020. I first owned a YDS3 back in 1965, my first new 'bike - it was a glorious red one. I spotted this current blue one on t'internet - special because it's untouched and absolutely original, yet in remarkable condition. Everything is there - both keys, full tools, handbook/service book, pump, fuel tank filter and dipstick (even my original didn't have that!). Anyway, I look forward to getting support if I need it, and giving help and support whenever I can. Barry

Just bought myself a DT400e (1978) in rough condition for full resto. Just ordered up a full parts and also copy of a Yamaha engineering workshop service manual -I have found these two items invaluable in the past! Engine main bearings are shot - I am a pretty confident home mechanic, is this a task realistically achievable or am i better farming out to a specialist / who are they (I live in Newark, Notts)? When I was 16 I wanted to upgrade my FS1E and get a DT175. I then met my "to be" wife and it all went out the window. Now 57 I have got my bike and cant help the smile it puts on my face. This is an unrestored example with just over 4k miles. To say j am japoynwould be an understatement. I have the full document history of the bike and the original bill of sale.

Hi all! just checking in to say hello. Winter is coming upon us, but don’t despair. A new light will dawn! Got a Xj900 f from 1992. New to me last summer and very liked. Silent, smooth and agile. Just bought a Madstad windshield to reduce wind noise and buffeting. Hope it will work out! whisper

Hi good day fellow Yamaha club members, I am in the process of restoring my dads old bike, a Yamaha FZR 150, with the frame and engine # 3KW. I am based in Manila Philippines. The fairings had been neglected and I am looking at just getting an OEM of the Yamaha FZR 250, will the fairing fit or will I need to have a great deal of modification to make it work? Thank you. Hoping for your kind response.
