  5. Hello, I’m a new member, and I’ve just been handed a 60’s era 125 vtwin which I’ve been told is “rare”. It’s in need of some attention so I’m looking forward to sharing pics and picking brains in the future. (supposed to be helping kids with homework, if the missus catches me I’m a goner, so bye for today !)

  6. Hi crew! I just found out this place existed! My very first bike was a black-on-black Honda VTR250 purchased from a dealer, second hand. It was fantastic. My next and much loved bike was a classic blue/silver Yamaha R3, which I found incredibly versatile and have praised before, even touring on it! You can read about that at http://adamch.com/great-ocean-road-trip/ I'm keen to remain within the Yamaha stable, perhaps even looking at a MT09 Tracer down the road, but for now was looking at a MT07HO (unrestricted). Love the Tracer 7, but it's not sold unrestricted in Aus, and the recent facelift model isn't coming here. So the plan was to get a normal MT07 for n…

Hi Everyone! My name is Stephanie, I am from NYC. I will be buying a 2020 Yamaha MT-03 within the next few days (I am upgrading from a 2019 Yamaha Smax). I am new to riding a motorcycle with gears but certainly know most of the basics, I understand a lot has to do with muscle memory more than anything. Of course, if any one has any tips/tricks and info or any good details to share about the Yamaha MT 03 please let me know! Nice to meet you all!

Hello, obviously I'm new to this forum after adding a 97 Thunderace to my bike shed along side a 96 CBR900 and a 2001 ZX7R. I will defo need your help along the way but I will persist for a while and see what I can do. I spend more time tinkering than riding so all 3 have relatively low miles on them. I live just outside Rochdale so great to ride over the Pennines. Hope everyone is coping ok with the current climate, take it easy !

  11. Hello, Just joined after buying a Yamaha Enticer (Indian made 125cc easy rider type) and am trying to both understand the bike and source spares. Indian spares don't seem to be as long lasting as Jap ones and I'm looking for:- 1) Rear light cover 2) Front drive sprocket 3) Side panel (covers battery etc) 4) Drive shaft oil seal I'm sure I will find a few other bits to replace but would love to know where I can buy bits either from a source here or in India?? or if anyone is breaking one fpr spares. Thanks Barry

Hello Everyone! Samm, 28 from Essex. New to bikes and having just passed my CBT I bought myself a rather shiny XVS125... with rather large 31K on the clock! COVID19 has stopped me riding in the last week or so but I still managed to put 300 miles in while I had the chance. Now onto making her as clean and tidy as I can so she at least looks the part when I'm back to doing 55MPH flat out. XD

  14. Afternoon guys, just joined the forum but read a few posts on here. I'm on the cusp of buying myself a 1975 DT175 and, I know you get this a lot but, I had one as a lad and remember it quite fondly. Sadly, this virus has stopped me going and collecting the thing. Thought I'd join the forum and see about some advice for a newbie to the 2t world. I ride bikes a lot and have had quite a few in my time but never had a 2t for the road or as an adult. Always old yamahas or hondas as field bikes as a lad. I'll stick questions on in good time but thought I'd introduce myself first. And the screen name is the name of my little company that makes thing…

Hi! My other half has acquired a Dt175 possibly mx version from roughly 1974. I'm here to try and get some info on how to fix it as I think it's been thrown together with odd parts. Also, someone has taken the magnets out the magneto flywheel... 🙈

hello all, just turning 30 and decided to by myself my first bike. I’ve brought my self a DT125 import with 5,000 miles on the clock. It looks mint but not knowing a lot about bikes is a bit daunting. My plan is to get the grips with this DT and move on to do my bike test later in the year and have a bit more choice on bikes. Any advice along the way will be appreciated from you guys!

  20. Started by NoBs,

Howdy folks. Been riding forever ( 1952 when my Dad put wheelbarrow wheels on my brothers 2 stroke Harley Hummer age 6 ) A few hiatus's here and there but recently bought this XT-250 to do a little off/on road riding before its too late. First ride today on the new bike, worked pretty good overall. a little squirrely in the loose leaves in the woods and up a few pipelines but it was good to be out again. Even got a couple early season raspberrys on the ankles. It's a pleasure to be able to put both feet flat on the ground and that was what drew me to this bike.. No road time yet, the less the better for me.
