I just wanted to say hi and see if I could post photos of my bikes: https://app.photobucket.com/u/ma701apm/p/659406d1-bb50-4725-a186-59ee66ffc0ce no Idea if this'll work. I currently ride a SR125 but Im transitioning to a XT125R which I am led to believe has the YBR125 engine. I picked up the bike second hand and in parts and I now have a running bike, but I cant find any XT125R speedos so that will be a fun conversion. Nice to meet you all...

Hi all Just bought a 1998 FZS 600 and was wondering if there are any disabled riders out there who know of any way to extend the gear lever? Following an accident I cannot bend my left leg beyond 85 degrees. The seat height is about right, but I can't twist my leg enough to use the gear lever without causing pain in my leg. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, my name is Stuart and I'm from bonny Scotland. In 1988 I travelled across Australia on a Yamaha XJ650 and recently bought a similar one. I have the VIN number but only has 9 characters and would like to find out a bit more about the bike. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a retired electrical engineer, selling my last bike (a Kawasaki 900 Z1 street bike) over 30 years ago. I just bought a 175 CT1 -- one of the classic 2-strokes from my growing up. I'm looking to do trail riding on a fun 2-stroke dirt bike. Bill (AKA Williamdor)

First post, I can't believe I have never been on this site before, I have had XS's for 17 years. Current bike XS 850 with a rebuild XS 850 just started, I bought it 12 years ago as someone's stalled project, for spares or rebuild and has been virtually untouched since. Lockdown has prompted a relook at it. This will be an 'economy' rebuild, I live in the far north of Scotland so don't get to many meetings although I did go to the Yorkshire Pudding Rally in 2017. Round trip of 930 miles, I was the only XS triple there. The highlight of my weekend was getting the bus into York for some 'culture' and a beer, (yes I am boring). Last year went to 'Thunder in the Glen'. …

Hi! I´m new in this forum. Just bought Yamaha YZF600R Thundercat -97 with 42000km on it about 6 weeks ago. Very well kept and taken care of. I have ordered new slip on and better mirrors for it. Love the bike, but now I need a little bit of help. I bought soft saddle bags for the bike. Richa Twin: https://www.motonet.fi/fi/tuote/3826...ut-mustaharmaa and I have a problem. How do it assemble those to my bike that way that those stay on and dont fly away on higher speed? Also I would like to assemble bags comfortable enough for a passenger too. Is that even possible? Hope somebody can help me...

Hi, ive just bought a YBR125 for some fun, going to start from my house in Rutland ride to lands end, then up to John O Groats via the west coast of Scotland and then back home, this is a test run before flying the bike to Cape town and riding it north to Lira in Uganda, to give the bike to a charity i support over the internet, so about 7,000 miles between them, should give my arse a work out! Have plenty of other bikes to play with from Aprilia RSV, Ducati 851 down to Benelli 250 2c, Sunbeam S8 and a Monet Goyon from 1954. cheers Ian

Hi everyone, I’m an old biker returning to ownership after a few years bringing up kids with a bike-resistant Wife! I am converting a nice (my2000) 1100 Dragstar Custom into a bobber and wondering what tyres are available for a 110/90 R18 front wheel? Not many it seems and I was hoping to find a whitewall matching set! 🙄 If anyone knows of a WW set for this model, please let me know. It’s good to be here! cheers Chris

Hi folks Just started enjoying the joys of the ybr250. Living in Cheshire. Bit long in the tooth. Been round the block a few times but still enjoying sitting astride a machine. No hitting the red line on the rev counter leaving that to the young guns

Newbe to forums that is. Hi all. Just joined the forum in the hope of finding an MT 03 660 community. I recently bought a 2006 MT 03 after being off the bike for 10 years or so. Not my first Yamaha, I started out on a TZR 125 and had a 250 LC for many years. Then went out into the wilderness with a couple of Ducati Monsters. However, wanted a gentle re introduction to bikes without the Italian service regime. Didn't even know these bikes existed until I realised I couldn't afford an XSR700 right away and started looking further afield. The idea of the YAM 660 single in a little road bike was too tempting to pass up and I found a nice low miles one for sensible m…

Hi all, Just got a 2nd Yamaha last weekend, an XS750 from 1979. I already own a XS400 '77. Made the 400 a cafe racer and got some electrical issues pending to fix so I'll be riding the 750 in the meantime. I live in Miami so if anyone else local, let me know if down for a weekend ride! Cheers, Ezequiel PS. This below is my latest, this is literally the posting photo.. only other photo I got is in my parking garage and it's doo doo quality.

Hi Everyone, I have just joined today. I'm from England but currently living in Vietnam. I bought a SR400 (Japanese import) back in February this year after a long time away from 2 wheeled transport! Still finding my feet a bit but luckily these old Yamahas are not so different to the old Brit iron I was used to. The bike runs fine but there are some electrical issues that I want to sort out. Hopefully a few people on here will have experience of these old bikes and their electrics. The bike is a 1998 model 3HTA even though the engine is stamped 2H6 which would indicate a 1978 model. The frame is a 1JR meaning it was made for the Japanese market in 199…

Hello everyone! As I am already long-term FZS1000 owner and recently bought -91 XJ600 for new project bike, it's time to join the club! Regarding the new project, of course there will be some advice needed. The bike was forgotten to the warehouse for some 6-7 years and now there are some electrical issues. Hope to get some good advice to get this little back roads soon.

Hi, Just my first post to say hello. I’m planning to buy a classic bike to restore and ride after many tears of being bike-free (it will probably be a Yamaha as this is what I rode in the past). Hence the reason for joining the Club. Anyway, I’ve not decided what it will be yet, so still in the hunt. Best regards,
