Hey guys! My name is Justin and I am new to the forum. I've tried a few forums but haven't really found much/help support so I am hopeful to be here with y'all on this forum. Any who, a quick about me, then I'm gonna get my post up for help on my xs750. So I am currently living in CO and I'll be headed back to the east coast soon, originally from GA. In my time out here I've picked up riding motorcycles and I love it. I've also been one to do the work on my vehicles in the past and that has definitley followed me into my time with my bikes! My first bike was a 01 Ninja 500. It was a good little starter. Most of the work on that was just cosmetic outside of brakes and exha…

Hullo to everyone, new member from Shetland Islands, known as Rab to my mates. Hopefully that'll be you. Recently come by an XJ900 Trike needing much TLC so hopefully will be able to turn to you fellas for help and advice, it's about 40 years since I had anything to do with bikes (the usual, marriages, kids, etc,,) so like my trike I'm pretty rusty. Best wishes to all. Rab.

Hey folks, my name's ditchkid and I'm new here. I've come to join the party because I just got my second Yamaha bike and I've already found a lot of very valuable advice on this forum and figured it was time to make it official. I currently have a '97 DragStar 650 which is pretty heavily customised, kind of an old school chopper, and a relatively new acquisition which is an '83 TT600 with most of the original bits still on it! But not all, most notably the tank, and good lord they seem rare! I found one on German fleabay and its on it's way, so fingers crossed. I've currently got a random tank and seat on it just for bombing around the lanes but it'll be going …

  9. Started by Geiger,

Hi everyone, I have owned several Yams over too many decades I now have another one. RT1 B to be precise, like a forerunner of the DT. Problem is locating a tacho cable in the UK. I know there will be one from a different model. it's just finding which one. So here is my request. If anyone can spend a few minutes measuring their tacho cable and then let me know the length and their bike model I can probably get a cable to do the job. The length I am looking for is 865mm, or within a few centimetres, with 11mm and 15mm screw cap fittings respectively. Any help would be really appreciated.

  10. Hi guys and girls, hope everyone's ok, keeping safe and only getting dry tarmac I'm going to trouble you nice people with a random one - security while riding. Getting by CBT done at the end of April (depending on the lockdown restrictions of course) and looking to get a 2021 NMAX 125 for commuting twice a week from Richmond to South Quay. The thing that worries me a bit is the increase in moped gangs targeting moped riders and motorcyclist in general - is this a thing, have you come across situations like this and how to deal with them? I'm talking here about two scumbags on a scooter, blocking your way and trying to take your bike. The 2021 NMAX…

Will be hoping to find some good info and crack amongst everyone I've got my dad's old 1988 FZ600 that is in need of some TLC. It's been a slow process putting it back on the road. I got its first MOT in 2019 after sitting since 2000 in my aunts garage and rode around the country on tyres that were older than I am haha 😆 Now however it's starting to show its age again. I'm in need of a replacement fuel petcock as this one has given up the ghost. Parts seem to be like rocking horse poop, so I'm turning to you good chaps for some help regarding parts suppliers, breakers or specialists. Hope to hear from you all Titch

Hi guys and girls. I'm Chris. I'm a welder fabricator by trade and have just started riding on two wheels again. I used to race quads but now I've decided to get my full bike license and have some fun. Couldn't resist a lovely little dragstar 125 to get used to it again. Already wanting more power but she'll do for now. Cheers Chris

  18. Hi, I am new to this forum so want to start by saying Hi 🙂 I live in the London area, London England. I have owned many bikes over the years and traded in my Yamaha Radian for a new bike around about 2006 and regretted the sale straight away. I tried to get it back again about 2 weeks later but the dealer had moved it on to a auction and had lost contact with it 😞 I have been searching the web and notice that it is still MOT'd every year (September) but never seems to get riden more than 100 miles or so of use each year. The reg No is C535 FAH, if this is your bike, or if you know of it's whereabout I would like to know 🙂 One day I wou…

Hi, Im Joe, I have always wanted to ride but just never made it a priority to ride. I have been an auto and truck mechanic for years. I thought I would have the time to restore this bike and honestly have had the time but ever since I learned how fast it would go, Im thinking its probably not a bike I should start out on. So, on to the bike, I really would like to learn more about it. Its a 1982 Yamaha XS1100. I can find info on 1981 Yamaha XS1100 but not much out there on this one. I know it needs carbs but im not motivated enough to spend the $800 on carbs then its been sitting for years, license plate says 2012. I got it from my uncle who ended up with it when a …
