Hi Guys (& Girls), Pretty new to bikes, used to run about on a wee tichy 50cc scooter but moved onto bikes at the beginning of the year. First had a Suzuki VL125 but that went the way of the dodo and was sent rapidly back to the dealer. Picking up my new (old) XVS 125 Dragstar tonight, so second time lucky. Was my first choice when I first started looking at bikes but none were in my meagre price range. I'll be doing a bit of refurb repair on it so might need any help that can be given. I can work the electrics but the mechanical side is a loss to me so I'm gonna have to learn. Looking forward to getting it out and about. All the best, Steph

I'm pinky and I am the proud owner of a new, new, brand new, and of course a new XJ6N in the Race Blu colour scheme. That one. Some of you might know me from BCF. Some probably will want to forget me now that I am here. Either way I am here and I might well stay for a bit. Pinky

Very new to all of this forum stuff, but been after a descent website to join to for a while, so here goes nuttin'!: I'm Ben, still a bit of a toddler at the mere age of 19. Currently riding/rebuilding a '92 XJ 600 (The naked air cooled model). I'm part of an MCC - Streetfighters Cheshire MCC. All bikes customised are a specialty. Now I know a lot of people don't like the idea of a Streetfightered motorcycle but everyone is entitled to their own likes and others, their opinions, but that doesn't hold me against any other type of bike at all. City & Guilds qualified Engineer and training IMI Motorcycle Mechanic, I can usually help with most faults with bikes…

Hi all! I'm a newbie from the south of France, so pardon my English I bought my first bike, a Yamaha XJ6 ( Extreme Yellow) since October, but I got my driving license a month and a half ago, so she waited for me in the garage! I learned to drive on a Kawasaki ER6, and I really didn't like it. It wasn't the kind of bike I wanted to drive, nor the one that caught my eye. During my driving lessons, I had the chance to drive for 2 hours a XJ6 and I fell in love with it. When I searched for a second-hand XJ6, I found out it existed in yellow... and it was love at first sight! I needed an Extreme Yellow, and not another color! Around here, there wasn't a lot of them…

Found this site on Google 5 months ago when fidleling around my new (new 2 me anyway) Draggy. Originally from Portugal, son of a motorbike parts dealer and brother to a mechanic and 2 Motorcross racers, been around motorbikes all my life fixing and messing with 2 stroke engines from flandria to cr 500, up to 14 years ago when I moved to Ireland and due to the weather the bug went to sleep. Now, by faith I was "forced" to buy a motorbike and the biking bug is back

Hello there, I'm Simon and I started a project bike, a DT250MX around a year ago. I was given the bike for free by a guy who's house I was working on. His wife was fed up with it leaning against the shed for the previous 4 years! I had it covered in my garden for a year before I dismantled it and put it in my loft to keep it dry and to stop the rot. I took it out of the loft about a year ago after I built myself a workshop (out of mainly recycled materials). Firstly I sanded the frame down and re-sprayed it with my friends spray equipment. I found out that I had been given some duff information about the primer when the paint started chipping off whenever a spanne…

Hi All, Moe here. It's been 30 years since I last rode an Enduro and I guess I still miss them. I just inherited a 1978 dt125E and I'm thinking about a total restoration...IF.....I can get a spark. I've posted under the question "Did the Factory do this" because it's all screwed up, makes no sense. I hope someone can help. Thanks!

Hi all. So I bought my first yamaha. Its an xt125x and im liking it a lot so far. Its not the fastest bike in the world at 65 -70 but its good enough for my 6 days a week commuting to college and work in London ( Great town bike). Bought full Arrow exhaust system for it which made a little difference to performance and makes a good sound. Spits flame and pops which is awesome . Up jet to 17.5 pilot jet. Ticks over far smoother and easier starting. Also up jet to 110 jet however this showed no improvement on its own as I havent drilled any extra holes in air box cover ( removing it is to much air). Recently my speed sensor broke so I need to buy a new one and the quality o…
