Hi all. So I bought my first yamaha. Its an xt125x and im liking it a lot so far. Its not the fastest bike in the world at 65 -70 but its good enough for my 6 days a week commuting to college and work in London ( Great town bike). Bought full Arrow exhaust system for it which made a little difference to performance and makes a good sound. Spits flame and pops which is awesome . Up jet to 17.5 pilot jet. Ticks over far smoother and easier starting. Also up jet to 110 jet however this showed no improvement on its own as I havent drilled any extra holes in air box cover ( removing it is to much air). Recently my speed sensor broke so I need to buy a new one and the quality o…

Good evening one and all, A little introduction - My name is Carl.........usually known as CT...........nearly 50 years old........and I have made arrangements to become the next custodian of Drewpy's excellent, restored 78 XS400. I have been searching for one of these for a few years now - missed out on a few, and none as good as this one - as my father bought one new (blue) in 1980 when I got my first bike (CB100N) when I turned 17. He bought his from Motorcycle City in Greenford, Middlesex at, I would guess, must be a discount as (I understand it) it was a discontinued model by 1980 (I stand to be corrected). I do have a photo of his bike somewhere - I…

Hello, I just wanted to introduce my self and get some feedback on my bike selection. My name is Vlady, i'm turning 30 this year and I never really ridden motorcycles. After trying out my friends motorcycles I got addicted and now after convincing my wife, I will finally purchase my new bike. I am taking my MSF course later this month and after that I plan to purchase WR250R. After were long consideration of different bikes and styles, I kept coming back to WR250R. I'm 6'4" and most bikes that I would sit on just would feel so crammed to me. At first I was going to buy a cruiser because sport-bikes are just not for me. This way I could go on rides with my friends who …

Hello folks After many years of "getting a bike this year" I have finally had the fortune of having the time, the money and the inspiration to get it done. I'm starting a new job in the countryside in a month, after nearly 15 years working in central London, so am really looking forward to a less complex commute than all that walking, bussing, training, bussing, then more walking! I'm hoping to be able commute primarily by bike, just bottling out to the old cage when the ice starts making a showing. So, long story short, I have my CBT booked in for Wednesday, I have a bunch of gear ready, and tomorrow I go looking at bikes! The plan as it stands is to chec…

Hi there, recently joined. I currently have a 50cc scooter but i am doing my CBT at the weekend and afterwards i will be looking at getting myself a YBR 125cc. 50 years old now and just a little annoyed with myself now for not passing my bike test all of those years ago, but then again up to 250cc was ok for me way back then.

Hi, folks! My name is Erik Peters and I would like to ask for a helping hand. I’m a German motorcycle journalist and I intend to produce a motorcycle travel video about Scotland soon. Therefore, I am looking for people who live in Scotland and can show me some typical Scottish things. It would be great to find someone, who, for example, participates in the highland games or someone who plays the backpipe. Maybe someone here is a chef and can show me how to prepare a real good haggis (I really like it!:-)). And, of course, it would be great to meet some bikers who can show me their favourite places or pubs. There are so many other things I am looking for. So, any ideas I …

Hi Live on the border between Mid Wales and Herefordshire, and have been riding for well over 30yrs now. Do quite a bit of trail riding on either a WR250 or easy longer distance stuff on my TTR600 and also got a '73 DT 175 in bits. Also do a bit on the road, plus do a few trials (badly!) on a Beta Evo. Cheers

Hi all, just thought I'd introduce myself. From Devon but in London through the week. Been thinking about bikes all my life but was worried I would kill myself, so waited till I was old and responsible! After a year of commuting on my Honda 125 CBF I finally took my DAC. Wasn't going to upgrade for a while but seeing as a Jag decided to take me out and write my bike off a couple of weeks ago I took the plunge and bought a Fazer 800. Have I made a crazy mistake? No one on the forum seems to own or talk about them! Good or bad? Look forward to some feedback! Cheers.

Hello all. I actually joined over a year ago, but I'm rubbish at this sort of thing. Thought I'd give it another go. I currently ride a 2002 SR125, a 1982 Honda CB400n Superdream, and a 1992 XJ900 sidecar outfit. Given that I'm about to sell the Superdream to make way for a 650 Maxim that will make it a 100% Yamaha garage - hence why I thought I'd pop back here again.
