Well not exactly a new boy but a sixty year old and retired and I have 'inherited' a project from my son to restore an almost running 86/87 FZX700. Being a Honda ST1100 PAN European rider/maintaniner (sorry Yamaha owners) I know nothing about FZX's yet so looking to all you expert members to help please. Cheers

As I have just discovered, just popping up, asking a question and fucking off is a tad rude, especially if a small introduction is then made as a second thought, so this is me trying to do it properly. My real names Steve, I've had a few bikes over the years, vfr 400, bandit 600, z750 and a handful of nice little 125's but recently the zephyr died and with the non too far off arrival of our first born, have been told, in the most loving of ways of course, that we need a car ( it's sensible ) and can't really afford a bike bike at the mo. Well, after much deliberation we came to a compromise, and I'm allowed a baby dragstar 125 that I can then chop the living daylights…

Hello ! I just bought a 1975 which turned out to be a 1976 2 stroke DT125c Enduro. I also am getting a 1963 twin 2 stroke street motorcycle. I know they are not exactly new however they are still Yamaha's and are pretty awesome in my view , anyone else with any vintage of any make or dual sport/enduro's ?

Hi all I am a new member having just bought a TDM900, what a bike ! Just what I wanted not so high Erving as theSuzuki I had and it has sooooo much torque that gear changes are much less frequent and the weight is so central that it handles like a dream and flips from side topside with no effort, what a bike. Cheers all, Ray .

Hi there - just thought I'd check in ... through an odd, but connected, set of events I now find myself running around on a new YBR125 Custom ... quick version below: - been riding bikes since 1976 - all sorts but gradually moved from sports bikes to sit up and beg due to rugby injuries coming home to roost! - got married to non-biker in 2005 (this is relevant - persevere!) when I had a Tiumph T140 special which I then swapped for a SV650 (nice bike) - fast forward to 2009 and I have BMW R1100R at this time (odd/different/fun/quirky/comfortable - the bike, not the dearly beloved - then again ...) - in 2010, dearly beloved embraces 2-wheeled powered transport and wi…

Hello, my name is Corey. I just recently got my license m2 and will be taking my m2 exit test soon. I have a CBR125R and am looking to step up to an FZR 250 (2KR) which is grey import in my country, so I decided to join this forum to absorb as much info as I can about the bike and the brands other models.

Hi there, My names Neil and im a dragstarHolic! I live in Kent with me wife and Ickle boy and 2 grumpy old sausage dogs. Ive been riding Motorbikes now for a number of years as my primary source of commute along the M20. I have recently purchased an old but low millage Dragstar650 which i am loving cruising around on (gave bandit up due to back problems) for work and leisure. She has carried me through many a localised flood and even through a wild marauding Stag ( well it had antlers and it hurt like..... alot). Ive not had any real problems with her mainly the fuel cap falling to bits in the tank (yep that was funny), my paniers slipping over (badly install…

My name is matthew (matty) 21 year old and live in the northeast of england (sunderland area) currently just riding/ fixing a aerox yq50, the reason for a 50 at my age was, I left the armed forces in january due to wantin a life style change when I left I didn't have much savings( vertually none) and wanted to keep myself mobile, and the aerox was all I cud find roughly road legal within the budget I had, I am a newbie to bikes/scooters so will probablys be a lot more questions coming for you guys, wil…

Hi people... New to this forum... At present have just bought another bike but have decided that I can't get rid of my RXS100... It belonged to a riding school who sold it to mate of mine who then kept it in a garage for four years and never used it. he then sold it to me for an absolute steal to get rid of it ( pity it wasn't a 350LC!!!). I have used it for two years as a runaround to station and back etc and its still only got 8200 genuine miles on it !!!. Gonna be my first restoration all being well.

Hello, I'm Sean, going by OrganicMuscle on these boards. I'm a 82' Yamaha XJ550 owner. I've had the bike for a bit, and it's been a ton of trouble. But, it's always been on my life-list to learn how to fix up a motorcycle, so i'm here to learn everything i can. Look forward to reading this forum and soaking some solid wisdom. I'm in SF for the time being ... and i'm quickly getting tired of the bus. Time to fix this bike. - OrganicMuscle
