hi guys, im after a set of cobra speedster shorts for my 1300 midnight star, along with the cobra fuel processor, saw and HEARD another 1300 midnight star with them on and just GOTTA have em. Hi guys, Just got myself a new (second hand) Dragstar after being away from bikes for a number of years. I was in the bike shop saw it, wanted so I bought it after some haggling with the missus, my excuse was that I am off to ride route66 with the brother in law in May and needed some practice. This is not my first Dragstar but it came with all sorts of add ons already installed, the thing is, I cannot get over how noisy the exhaust is compared to my old bike. I have attached a few pics, can someone tell me what exhaust system is fitted? and/or why in the hell it is so noisy! maybe it is meant to be this noisy but I am getting a bit old for the head turning as…

I cam across a facebook page for a company here in Perth that customises japanese cruisers. Anyway, they did a little XV250 Virago! I emailed them about it and they said they do sell parts for the Virago. They are putting together a bobber kit for the XV250. Hey guys and gals, I have a 2008 V-star 1300 with a power commander III USB and cobra short straight pipes (Both dealer installed). When the biek sits for over 1 hour, the bike will not start, just cranks. I heard that there is something with the power commander not sending a signal to the fuel pump. Does anyone know if that is true and if so how can I change the map settings in the commander. Thank you all. Djsonic

Sorry to bug you guys again, but I came across an unexpected problem. When I got a new battery for the bike, and started it, it started fine 3 or 4 times. The problem was I only started it to check the engine and didnt ride it all those times. When I decided to take it for a short ride today, it wouldn't start. At first it started for a sec, and then the rpm's went down and it stopped (found this strange as the choke was on). Everytime I try to start it after that, it almost starts and dies several time while I try to turn the engine. Hey there fellow owners, I've recently purchased my first bike, the yamaha dragstar 125. I've been told that its a first time starter, and has a very good engine by the person who sold me the bike. When I went to pick it up, the owner was able to start it straight away, even though it was snowing and very cold. But, ever since I got it home and into the shed. I haven't been able to start it. It made a good almost starting noise the first time I've tried starting it. But evry time I try to start it it makes a weird noise and the battery goes very weak. Hi, I've got a Yammy XVS 250 Dragstar (04), I was searching the net for a luggage rack so I could carry my 2 mtr chain around with me which weights 9.78 kilos but to my surprise ALL the racks stated 5 kilo max weight, so after all that searching I've decided it was a waste of time so now I'm thinking along the lines of saddle bags, I don't want to get trapped into bying the bars then find I have to buy there sadlle bags as others wont fit then be charged a fortune, how does it work? The rear cylinder has stopped working? Checked for spark - Good The only way I can get the rear to run is to completely remove the pilot screw. I stripped and cleaned the carb down but no difference. Any ideas? Cheers Gary

Hi! New to the site, in fact only started riding this year and lovin it!! Got myself Dragstar 650 Classic. Putting on Kuryakyn Hypercharger and new pipes. Can't decide on the pipes. Seen Vance & Hines Cruzers and note plenty of comments about them. What I'd like to know is if anyone has experience of either the Hard Krome 2.75 Big Straights or, Sivertail KO2? Just tried to fit the Yamaha back rest on my 2009 Midnight Star 1300 and it doesn't... The locating holes on the side arms are about 3 or 4mm too close together, so once you've got the forward slot engaged, the rear slot won't slide down over the rear one. This is the genuine Yamaha accessory from the 2009 catalogue and its a slightly different design to what was in the 2008 catalogue, so it looks rather like Yammy have got their part numbers and/or parts screwed. Or its just plain wrong... Took it back to the dealer and they double checked all the part numbers and it all looks right and the paperwork that came with the sidearms all refers to the 1300/950. Hey Guys, right, Let me give you the low down. Recently i had my yammy ybr 125 nicked from my girlfriends, insurance have agreed to pay out, and i've really taken a fancy to a dragstar I've seen. And here's the story of the bike: 51 plate, black, 14,000 miles on the clock, small 'dink' (i mean very small dent in tank, half the size of the nail on your thumb) small amount of rust/corrosion on rims and metal plate under headlight. Otherwise cosmetically fine. the major issue with it is this: the last guy who owned it rented out a workshop on a buisness park, couldnt pay the rent on the unit and fled leaving alot of belongings behind, the lil dragtar being one. sin…

hey there guys, new here so please don't kill me if i have put this is the wrong bit xD my Dragstar has a little spiff to it... ive been reading on here and people say their 4th gear goes upto 60 and 5 around 65, my gears go as 1st:15 2nd:30 3rd:40 4th:51 5th:70(well it struggles past 55 until the bike has been riden for around an hour and a half) sometimes when im riding and i change to 5th it just starts to slow itself down when the engine is a bit cold also on the not so brighter news, somehow my bike went underneith me and threw me off as i was riding on saturday... my bike flew straight into my mates and mine has a little damage, exhausts are scratched…

hello! At first I wasn't very interested in changing my bike(Dragstar XVS 125) at all because it runs very nice and it is in a very nice shape in every view. But you can't help it...10 kW just isn't very much . So I was thinking...is there a way how to get more power out of this bike without fear that i'll do any damage to the engine? I'm not talking about 30kW of additional power...but...if there is a not so hard way to get some power? At least to make the 5th gear a bit more cruising and lowering the RPM's. And to be a bit more confident when driving up the slopes;) thakns for any help!

On my 2008 V-Star 1100 it tends to stall alot at low speeds. I found this site: http://www.clevverlever.com and they have a clutch lever that I think might help the problem. Has anyone ever bought one of these, and if so, did it help?

hello iv got a sachs roadster which uses a virago xv125 engine now the problem is it just wont start! iv put a new battery in it and air filter and its got a new exhaust. iv cleaned and replaced all the corroded electrics so their practicaly brand new. me plugs are fine and the carb is spotless. and there is no problem with me startor motor. when i turn the key it will just go round till the battery dies (even with choke!) i have to bump it to get it started but it starts up 1st time with the bump it runs perfectly and drives as normal i can start it up when the engine is warm but after 5 min of it not running i have to bump it to get it started again. iv…
