Guys, I'm ashamed to say I have sold my Midnight Star I took a test ride on a BMW K1300 GT and got a trade in to good to turn away... So before it went I took back some to the add ons. Before I stick on e bay I though I'd see if anyone here fancied first refusal? I have A Road House Slip on... Is a easy fit, 20min max... it is LOUD... now you can get a quite baffle from Alchemy, but I just loved the noise An almost brand new standard back box... Tried Starting Gabs on Saturday.... Battery is fully charged (trickle charged using optimiser) Starter turns over perfectly fine... Fuel in tank, Fuel cock on RES (AS the level is a lil bit low, but way enough for 30 miles) When I put the ignition on, there is a puck puck puck noise, (Presumably the feul pump priming the system?) Tried starting her, but there is just no bang!... She has been in the garage and not been started for abt 2 months :-` I've been told I might just need to keep the starter spinning a bit longer (been giving it short 10 second bursts) Any tips?.. PS On my lawnmower I tend to wizz out the spark and warm the spark side …

hi guys, on my xvs, sidelights dont appear to come on front or rear, although dipped and full beam work and the brakelight comes on when either brake is engaged. and the speedo lights up fine...any ideas? common problem? THX!

I'm the happy new owner of a 2001 xvs650 that i'm thinking of playing around a bit with - rear lights, bars, exhaust, maybe tacho - especially if i can find one with a clock of some sort built in! any way, im struggling to find sites with good project pictures or before / after, pics of the parts on bikes etc, all i seem to be able to find is online catalogues really - not a lot in the way of end results as i dont know anything about how these bits will look once done. any advice or comments welcome and appreciated, please excuse my newbie-ness - am adjusting to this world from my ninja and only 3rd week in, the …

G'day peeps. Would really like to put a Kuryakyn Pro-R series hypercharger on my XVS950a. but i'm not having much luck finding anything at all except for a XVS1100. i'm sure someone out there has a hypercharger on a XVS950a? My kingdom for a part number. do i need some kind of conversion kit? Thanks.

hav ownend my xvs1100 classic for a couple of years now and all the time hav had it it pops when riding had it in to shop with mechanic i know and trust but cant find out why has anybody any ideas ?????

Hi, Can anybody tell me if the chrome speedometer surround on a 1999 XVS1100 is the same size as the 1998 XVS650 one ? Mine has been painted black and I'm after the original chrome one. There's one on ebay but not sure if they are interchangable. Anyone done this before ? Thanks in advance. Gra.

Been looking at the XV1900a. Had a trawl on the net but only found 1 review. Anybody got any info on them or advise?

hi i checked the oil on my xvs dragstar tonight,there was no dipstick on it so i stuck in a clean plastic straw to see the level.it was showing there was no oil in it,so i put 1 litre in it,it is still showing with no oil in it when i stick the straw in. so...how much do they hold? should i drain completly now and start again or??

This might appear to be a stupid question (to those in the know),but were all the forks the same diameter whatever year we talk about?TIA

Hi all just joined the forum (thanks for having me) just bought a 2001 125 dragstar with 3400miles on it when i went to put petrol in it i noticed loads of bits of rust in it.I got petseal and done the tank withit now i think the breather in the top of the tank might be blocked dont know if this is a major thing or not.Then the bike wouldnt start petrol had got on top of the piston or so i was told anyone any advice please .regards Kevin over here in Ireland

Hi Everyone New member here on my recently bought XVS Dragstar. Loving the bike in everyway, especially as i am coming from a Honda VT125 Shadow...so nice to be able to overtake traffic instead of trying to ride the slip stream to keep my speed up! Anyway, i have a question: When people talk about 'drilling' their exhausts, do they literally mean just drilling the plate that you can see (with the small pipe coming out venting the gases!) when looking into the mouth of the exhaust? Wanting a little more grunt sound wise so am up for doing this but not sure if i am understanding the process correctly and dont want to be left with a broken pipe!! Cheers

Just bought my first bike, XVS Dragstar 125... Can anyone give me some usefull bits to know about it?

Treated myself to a heated vest this weekend... Ok Ok I know I am a Soft Southern Jessie, but hey I an old Soft, Southern Jessie Got to say they are bloody brilliant, Its got both a battery for off bike, and a connection the bike battery... I did a gentle 100 miles on Saturday the jacket set to medium, I had to stop after 10 Miles and turn it down to low!! I whore it to work thin AM, the thermometer on bike said it was about 6 degrees... set the jacket on low and it was toasty, all the way in.. Works well with the heated grips, warm hands, warm body warm hart! Nice way to travel!!!
