    Just found out today that my tickover screw (correct name?) has come out from my carburettor and this is not a replaceable part and so im going to have to get a new carb. I was toying with the idea of a bigger carb anyway and so i think im going to fit a 32. I have a few questions though before i go ahead; whats the standard size? if i buy a 32 will it come with an inlet rubber or can i get one of these? has anyone else tried this and can give me some help?

    I was curious to know how similiar a 1980 dt 125 and a 1979 dt 175s engines are and wanted to see if there parts were interchangeable. And also know if any of the electronics are the same like the coil or CDI.

    has anyone ever had this on their dt125?? mine is R reg so 1998?? ive recently started trail riding and ive been going with people on much more capable speeds so ive been going flat out on rough terrain on the dt to try and keep up. im guessing its all the bouncing around that has caused it but its the 2nd time its happed within a month. does anyone know how to cure the problem rich

  4. I am a long time rider as well as a PlayStation employee. We have a new game coming out called Motorstorm Pacific Rift and we are hosting an event in its honor. It will be held for a number of professional atheletes (all types of sports) in the Orlando area. Where you come in: we are looking to fill the first couple spots at the event with dirty (aka, had some fun in the mud) vehicles. We would love Dirt bikes, dune buggies, rally cars (subaru, lancer, mazda or the like), pick up trucks, and if any of you have a monster truck lying around...that would be great too.     Hello guys, I'm returning to moto cross for the first time since i was 8, i have just bought myself a mint race ready 2003 YZ250 and would require info on what needs maintaining, the frequency of maintenance and the two stroke oil to unleaded ratio. Sorry to sound thick but i really don't want to damage the running gear of this ike. Also can someone tell me where i can get hold of some YZ race pants ad padded riding jacket.     hi, I have a 1989 YZ250 in need of complete plastics (will buy seperately if nesercery) used or new, & have been told anything from 89 upto year 92 will fit. does anyone know where to get some? i would prefer the most modern (1992), but if not then anything earlier. Also i need some forks, years 89 / 90 / 91 / 92 . good to exellent condition preferably. any help/knowledge much aprieciated. Rich.

    Hi there, apologies for making my first post a somewhat trivial request......but I'm about to start repairs on my 1992 YZ250 and I seriously need some pointers....... I bought the bike last year and had problems from the start......the bike ran great but would die after an hour or so of use........spark plug was visably badly affected by cardon damage.......new spark plug and iit was flying again, before the same happened again after an hour or so......I think I was using the right fuel/oil mix, but it might have been wrong.     Howdy Folks. I thought I would stop by and say hello as a new rider. I took my CBT last week and picked my first bike. I started looking at a YBR125 to use as a local bob about machine but I ended up with a XT125R. What a cracking little bike it is. Riding it is like being on my mountain bike with an engine and even at 18 stone it pulls away fast enough to keep up with the traffic. I have only done 60 miles so far because I have been dying with man flue but I am looking forward to being able to get out after work next week and not spend hours sitting in a Transit van stuck in the city traffic.

    Hi, I've always wanted one of these bikes and now I have the money I decided to get one. The bike is completley standard, I'm looking to get more speed and power, I more concerned about acceleration over top speed. Could you guys list all the stuff I need and needs doing, and if you could give websites to parts etc it would be helpfull. Also I have a Aprillia garage less than a mile away, and a Yamaha garage 7 miles away would you recommend taking it to the yamaha garage to get all the stuff fitted. Thanks, Scott.

    I am having a bike with the magneto system, the electrics are run off the engine... My headlights are working probably a quarter of their full brightness. In this magneto system that i am not to familiar with what it going wrong in the system????? Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanx.

    just bought a 1978 yamaha dt175 and seems to run fine. However everytime i stop runnin it, tons of gas pours out of the overflow tube hanging from the carb. How do i fix this?

    I have real problems starting an xt350, it takes about 15 mins of kicking to get her going, and hot or cold makes no difference. Tearing my hair out here, any help would be great.

    So about 6 months ago i bought a 1978 dt175 and fixed it up a bit and has been running pretty good. I go to take it for a ride the other day and its running terrible for about ten minutes then dies and wouldnt start again. the only way it would stay running for a bit was with the choke in. I took apart the carb it seemed fine, checked fuel line, it was gettin fuel, checked spark and bought a new plug, fine, and still wont run. i kicked it probably 100 times with no start up and a weird sounding fart noiseoutta the exhaust about every ten kicks. What do i do? also it appears to have some soft of fluid wetness where the head meets the block. could this have something to …

    i bought a Yr200 Yamaha dtr125cc (derestricted) and i need to get a new sterring lock barrel i only received the ignition and the fuel keys and i want to use the steering lock..... heres some pics of the bike.... but i aint got any pics of the steering lock sorry.     Hi Everyone, Just wondered if anyone could help as I'm no expert.I have a dt125r which I have out of the bike.It runs sweet until I select a gear, everytime I select a gear it dies. I have kicked it, left in gear and everything moves freely but will not run.Put into neutral up she fires and sweet as a nut. I'm no mechanic so would appreciate any feedback. Thanks ,J.

    hi peeps ! own a dt125r 1999 model, but the performance should be better ! i,ve read dt125r.net derestricting technicues.however does,nt say anything about carb jetting,surely if the front pipe has been derestricted (ie ring removed) then it would need rejetting ? as its now like a performance pipe compared to the old one.also my bike seems exceptionally slow, 45 to 50 mph without screaming the engine max ! in 6 gear. heard lot of people getting 75 mph plus wheelies.nice, but want to get mine better or at least find whats wrong with my bike,so can fix it ! got 1 size bigger front sprocket coming,as 1st gear is way too low. any help/advice appreciated powervalve tu…

    i was riding round last night on my DTR as i usually do then i heard clonk clang and it cut out, i go to kick it back over the kick start is solid. so I'm think seized (oh s**t) my mum then told me try bumping it so i did the kick start became free again but wouldn't kick over so i bumped it again and it started 2 go then it kept backfiring and wouldn't go faster than bout 10 MPH. if any1 knows anything please help my lil bike

    Hello people, i plan to re- jet my 2003 xt600e to suite a non-standard exhaust however im a bit confused with the twin carb set up. I have found a diagram of the carbs and have read from the exhaust manufacturers website that +10 points on the main jet would be a good starting point. Does this mean on the main jet on each of the two carbs? Sorry i've never done this before. Ps its a crd exhaust Thanks
