Hi to all Does anyone know where I can get a cdi stator coil for a 1983 yamaha DT100. Mine is completely bad and I couldn't find anything on ebay. I picked up the bike for $100 not running and I'm working my way through the problems. As an alternate does anyone know what the voltage is that comes from the cdi stator coil. Maybe I can build a circuit to supply the necessary voltage from the battery. JoAnn

Hi, i just bought a Very mint Condition 1999 Yamaha DT125R LC for £850, Its done 5434 miles in 10 years From what ive Read some peoples DT are pritty slow in 1st and 2nd but mine is Still pritty much Restricted and Flys through all the Gears, You can feel the Powervalve open at 5,500Rpm and through to 9,000rpm Here some Pictures (sorry for Bad quality will take some with my Camera next time im at my Dads)

Like the title says I am new to this forum, I recently purchased a 1992 WR200 and have a very simple question that I hope someone can provide an answer to- what is the mixing ratio for the gas and oil? The Yamaha race book that came with the bike says 20:1 which seems extremely rich to me, but I'm used to dealing with oil injected machines so I could be wrong. Anybody?

I am looking to replace the rear fender on my 92 WR200, does anyone know if the rear fender from a YZ of the same vintage will fit? My original fender is full of holes from the tail light and turn signals and I would like to create a cleaner look than the original setup and would like to find a fender that has no holes from the factory and am hoping a YZ fender will do the trick.

Hello Which of the Guru's of the DTR can help? I have a DTR with the following markings: On the PValve side i have these: Bottom of barrel - 3BM00 On crankcase - 3BN03 with Y-1 underneath On oil pump side i have this: Bottom of barrel - Y-1 On the head i have this: 3BN Y-2 So what year please? Next the bike is as follows: DEP front & back Running premix ay about 50:1 CDI is a 3RM-20 Air filter is standard Quick action throttle Carb - i assume is standard Main jet? Yet to take carb off. Suggest size please. Power valve - not checked yet Will update on jet size, carb model and gearing later today. Off the line the motor is bogging down an…

Hello just wondering if any one else has had there gear selector shaft seal leak on them? had it replaced before just went in the shed to see the bike as its all wrapped up for winter to see gear box oil on the floor and seal weeping just wondered if its a common fault or something...no big deal i surpose

hi all i am at the end of asking everybody the same old questions, i have an n reg xt350 i brought it about 3 weeks ago when cold at first start up it does not smoke once warm it does quite bad it does not miss fire and starts first kick, can any body help, is it valvestem oil seals or the piston oil ring, hope some one knows please help, cheers stibly

I've just put a newer engine (don't know the age but probably an import as the clocks off it are in KM) into my 85 XT350 but the crankcase breather is different, on the original engine it went straight from the cases up to the airbox, the new engine has a longer breather with a T-piece in it. All the manuals I have or have seen even for the newer bikes show the same breather as my original engine.Anybody know?? I would add a picture but don't seem to be able to do it.

hi on my bike the carb was leaking through the overflow all the time , so i took the carb off and cleaned it all now there is no leak happy days but now when you start the bike and rev it hard it back fires and puts a blue flame out the exhaust . only had the bike 3 month and its got a leon vince tail pipe on dont no if that matters thanks neil

Hi my names Ben and im 17 i own a Yamaha DT125R, 07plate and i was wondering how to fill up the reserve tank, if there even is a reserve tank iv checked the manual and yet im still boggled as to how it works, if any has any suggestions on this quetsion then im open to all valid answers. Hi all, Steve here new member and i've just got myself 2005 yz 125 but not ridden it as yet apart from the test ride which went ok but after i start and let it run for a few minutes in my garage i get one drop of oil under the bike from the black rubber breather tube coming from the front of the engine. Now seeing as i'm not mechanically minded when it comes to bikes should i be worried about this or is it some sort of exhaust port for excess two stroke oil or something. Any info gratefully recieved. Thanks Steve.

Right its like this, I've just been given a mk1 TZR 125 with a Kawasaki KX400 engine in it, thats fine but aint frisky enough for my liking and its not a Yami part. I'd like to get a YZ250+ engine and the other bits needed to make it run. Anyone got a spare engine ? Prefure a LC but a YZ250/490 aircooler wouldent be ignored. After being away from bikes for a few years, I saw a CT3 on Craig's List. Only 1750 original miles - sitting for 20+ years in somebody's barn. I bought one of these new in 1973 right out of college and want to get this in good shape for my wife and grandkids to tool around on - me too, of course. Still has original tires, grips, etc. All the gold paint is good, a little chrome blister, some of the gray fender paint needs work, but all in all not a bad start to restore. The Autolube pump needs some work and the carb will get rebuilt. The air box cover is gone, so I'm going to put on a K&N until I can find original parts. Hey, I just got a TW125, so this is my first post... I've got a question about the front headlamp. Mine's a 2004 model, and came with the round style headlamp. I'm much prefer the dirtbike / enduro look, so was pretty pleased to find one looking like this. Is the square light from an older, or bigger model? Is it from another bike altogether? Any information about which parts I would need, how to do the conversion or where to get the parts would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tom
