Dual Sport, Offroad Bikes

Hi there I am new to the forum and new to riding a bike. I traded and old acura that didn't run for a CT 175 that does. I only have my learners license and need to take my road test on this bike. The Speedo however is in MPH and here in Canada we use KPH. Does any one know of a replacment speedo maybe from a different year that will be in KPH?

hello, picked up a 1975 MX400 the other day finally received the CDI in the mail... now I just need to figure out the simplest way of wiring things up... can anyone tell me what the essential wires are and how the kill switch on these is supposed to be wired up or send me a wiring diagram so I can figure it out email is [email protected] thanks in advance

I seen a yellow dirt bike bye the road for sale,stopped to look at it,and on the plate it ses 12/77 as mfd.he wanted $400.00 and had the origanel title.well i had the title verafyied by the dmv, it was the first issue,the purches date was 4/20/79. on the title the year make and model, are as follows on title, vin# 1M2-111791 DT400E, year 79 but the plate on the bike ses 12/77, The plate and the case numbers match.so wouldnt that make it a 1978? OH bye the way i payed 150.00 for it!!!!! there was no gas in it not one drop.put in some 32.1 premix from my kx it back fired a few times, pulled the carb, the inside was like floor wax. cleaned it put it back on, it fired up …

I have a 1975 dt400. The head light and tail light work but I can't get the turn signals to work. I put a new flasher in it and if I cross the power from the flasher power terminal to either side terminal and switch the lever from left to right the turn signals come on but don't blink. Any advice would be appreciated...

Hi, just wanting some advice before attempting a strip down of my DT 125 MX engine. I was enjoying the improved performance of the 125 after fitting a bigger carb purchased from Oldgit. I was experimenting with the jetting and was getting 10mph better than previous ie 70 when previous best was 60mph when I lost all power and a little later discovered I had holed the piston, fun whilst it lasted though!! Anyway this is now the opportunity to convert to 175. I have stripped the left hand side but before I strip the right side I wanted to check if it is possible to just remove the clutch basket before i split the crankcase. Hi all i have a 2009 xt125x and the dealers say it should do 71mph and so do yamaha does anyone no of any mods to either exhaust, air box or any other area that can be changed to get a little bit more from it cheers tony....

I am looking for some help on the 4 wires that come from the magnito. I need to know what colors goes to what component. Any help is greatly appriciated.

okay i picked up a xt 125 x supermoto a few days ago on an 05 plate and it was running fine yesterday i put it in the shed and next day it wouldnt idle with out the choke on or keeping the revs on 200rpm it idles at 100 rpm and cuts out straight away can i adjust the idle speed to fix this?? how do i get to the adjuster screw? if the jet was blocked would it still tick over with the revs a 2000? also when i turn bars fully left the neutral light goes out, why is this? anyone got a link for the manual for it? thanks for any replys

Have just fitted a full Dep system to my 07 125 DTR. Have done a plug chop and found the plug to be a very light grey. Has anybody had to upjet their DTR after fitting a Dep system ?

Hi there, I have a PW80 which is using lots of fuel. There is a thin plastic tube running off the carb and it seems to be losing lots of fuel via this. Any ideas? Thanks

was out on my bike this morning when all of a suddern the chain snapped, one of the links are baddly dammaged, was wondering if i drop the back wheel forward and take the bad link out and link it back together would that work? thanks in advance

Hey Guys G’day my names Matt and I own a 2001 Yamaha YZ250F. I purchased the bike a few months ago at a reasonable price. Ever since I’ve owned it I have only been able to kick start it a hand full of times. I have taken it to the Yamaha dealer to get a service which included oil/spark etc etc and got the shims/valves checked. I was told everything was fine. The dealer even showed me how to start the bike. "Bring the piston to TDC with the kick starter at a hard point. Pull the de-comp lever and press down on the kick start an inch or two. Bring back up and a full kick through." I had a mate try and he could get it to go. I then could get it to go a few times …
