Hello guys. I didn't see an introduction spot in the forum, but I need help asap. I'm in PA and I fear one of my last riding days will be tomorrow. Let me start with an intro. I'm a 26 yr old male. I am an Isuzu nut. I frequent in a few isuzu forums. I own a 1989 I-Mark and a 93 Isuzu pup and have owned MANY Isuzu vehicles. I own my 1980 175 DT along with a 1982 Honda 3 wheeler 125 bored 50 over. I'm still getting the 3 wheeler put back together. I love off roading and ATV riding. I got my 175 DT recently for $300 and it's in pretty good shape. It's missing somer lights and stuff and I'm putting some on it so I can street ride it also. Now with that aside here is my probl…

Hi, have just got my DT175MX running again, see previous threads, and I keep feeling for a bigger gear when riding in top. As far as I know I am on standard chain sprockets for a 125. Is the 175 different and if not which way do I go, bigger front sprocket or smaller rear. Anyone know, done it before? Thanks Phil

Hi there all - I'm new here and I had a question for you experts. There is a 1982 Yamaha DT100 Enduro for sale not far from me and I was wondering what you all thought about this model. I must admit I am a complete noob when it comes to these bikes, but I am looking for something that is cheap, dependable, easy to maintain, really fuel efficient, and can carry me and the wife around on the family farm. The info I got from the seller says: What do y'all think? Should I drive out and take a look at this thing or pass? What would be a reasonable offer for a bike like this?

  11. This bike starts out great and runs awesome! alot of fun to ride. But after about ten minutes or so the bike starts bogging out and then lurching and then stalls out completely. You have to wait for the engine to cool down to start it again (about 20-30 minutes) and run it. But the weird thing is is that after it stalls it will idle roughly on choke and then it will start idling really fast and then stall out. It is the weirdest thing. I am running 32:1 motorcycle two stroke with premium gasoline. I've cleaned the carb too and the plug is wet after trying to start it. I also took the plug out after it stalls and it has good spark out of the cylinder. Any ideas? I…

I have 2 1974 DT 360's. The clutch won't engage on one of them I am restoring. The lever on the engine bottom moves freely - almost too easily, like it is not engaging the push rod. I have the clutch cover off and see no movement when the lever is pulled forward. Any ideas?

Managed to find myself a nice 1978 DT 175 MX the other day, after a bit of bartering I got the bloke down to £120, she's a bit rough, but after swapping the crank (looked like it had been sat in water for 10 years), she ran like an absolute dream. Anyway, I'm just wondering what they fetch running & on the road nowadays, and if anyone knows any places to buy new old stock. I'm also thinking about parts, I seem to remember pretty much _everything_ on the DT 125 and 175's were the same, apart from the bores and the fact the 175 head had 6 nuts instead of 5 or somthing, and the 5 plate clutches on the 125 instead of the 6plate clutches of the 175. I'm wanting to…

Hi, help wanted. Have been a bit unlucky or un-careful recently as I have managed to hole two pistons on my bike. I had just finished rebuilding the DT as a 175 (previously 125 which holed a piston sparking off the 175 conversion) and it had been running fine except that when I checked the spark plug it was a bit sooty (dark brown) so I went one grove down on the needle, from 4 from the top down to 3. Took it down the bypass to see what it would do and holed the piston again this afternoon!! Oh BUGGER !!! The advice wanted is, do I need to strip the whole thing down again? Is it possible/safe to remove the barrel etc and turn the engine upside down and spray engine cleane…

Hey everybody, i am new to this board and joined because i need alittle help from the dirt bike gurus. i am a chopper enthusiast and am trying to help a neighborhood kid who came to me looking for help. he saw that i work on bikes in my garage and stopped to ask if i could fix a dirtbike he found. i believe the bike is a late 60's to early 70's yamaha dt250? he found the bike abandoned in a field close to his home. it had been sitting there for years but the frame and engine where still there, everything else people took off. there were still some wires connected from the engine to the coil. my question is if anybody could help me figure out how to connect the wiring so i…
