I am doing up a 1983 DT 125 and I can't seem to find a wiring loom for this model anywhere! So I was wondering if anyone knows if any other wiring looms off different models would fit?

Hello again I have had a few thumpers,I currently have an 83 XT550K with YDLS. 1 carb 2 carbs I understand, But a carb and a half I dont understand. Can someone give brief explanation or point me in the right direction? Thank you for any help Crash

Hi new here just purchased 1983 XT550 for next to nothing bike runs great. I cant leave well enough alone. I would like to do the usual gearhead stuff, exhaust, carb, brakes etc. I need parts sources common mods etc. Thanks for any help Crash

Hi guys, need help to source for these 2 parts:- 1. 1992 DT200WR (3XP) speedometer with cable. 2. Mikuni TM28SS carburetor for the Yamaha DT200WR (3XP). Really appreciate all your help.

1998 dt125r ok, firstly most important, my damn rear indicators aaaah!!! i had a broken cracked taped up left hand switch gear, with, everything apart from indicators worked with it, i.e both rears would come on and one front one lol, so, i forked out £80, yes £80!!! for a new l/h switch gear, and...suprise, the problem still persists, im thinking, dodgy wiring, but now i fitted new switch, everything workes i.e lights , horn, but, only both back inidcators now, no front ones atall, so if anyones knows of any ideas? great much appreciated, also, looking for a good looking tail tidy for it? any websites/shops you can reccomend, and one final thing, orange fork gaiters…

I just picked up a 1974 DT360 today for $150! It's mostly unmolested, but the engine is completely seized. The original spedo is hooked up and it says 5,247 miles are on the bike. The transmission oil looks like new, and it shifts nicely. But in 1st gear when I push the bike forwards or back it will not budge the engine, and the kick starter feels solidly locked up when you try to push down on it. The guy said it ran before it was parked on the side of someone's house in the California high desert a long time ago, but after years and years of sitting in the weather, the engine will not turn over. I sprayed PB Blaster in the spark plug hole in the hopes that it might free …

Hey. In the process of replacing the tyres on my DT125r SM and just ordered up a 120/70 - R17 front the same size as whats fitted atm. However as for ordering the rear i noticed they dont do the 140/70 - R17 that comes fitted to the DT. Anyone here let me know what they are running on the rear plz? Dont want to order the 150/60 - R17 and find it catches on the chain or something. Thanks.

Hi Does anyone know what the blue metalic paint on the frame of my 2004 DT125 is called ? I can't find any mention of paint codes or name in the owners manual. Is there a car paint that is a good match ? Thanks

Hi , I have a DT 175 79 or 80. Carb is a 2h5. the bike is a us import 2n5 frame number. It runs really flat. Was on a 100 main jet . changed the jet to 130 had a seizure. Sorted that ,still have same problem. Cut exhaust open and cleared out the pipe(it was blocked). no change , still running bad. Will run great with no air filter.have tried less restrictive filter. tried a 120 jet same issue. Bike will run great just off full throttle but on full there is no power and the same thing on half to three quarter throttle. Any ideas?

Hello all, I am new to this forum and the info on hear has been great but now i have my own problem i have been cleaning up my old 1988 dt175 the starter coil was shot so i got one off ebay and installed it the bike ran great only one problem the thing ran backward when i put it in gear it went in reverse i worked out my timing was out by 180 and the coils where from an other model so i swapped the coils to my old backing plate and the lighting and starter coils where in opposite spots but the pulse coil was in the same spot i put it all back and the thing will not start it has still got spark and the plug is wet have i done damage running backward or i have just not …

got my dt 125 r 1998, bit batterd, in need of new left hand switch gear. any ideas guys? also, the standard black fork protector rubbers are a bit ugly, anybody know where to get colourd ones? orange idealy... thats about it for now thanks xx

Hi all. For our FSAE car, which runs a Yamaha WR450 engine, we are looking into a semi-automatic shifting system. We have had that for a few years now, but it has always caused us some problems. We always shift gears without using the clutch, nor throttle blip. We know that the problems probably originate from downshifting (upshifting shouldn't be a problem) but what we don't know is if we can solve it by regulating the system better, or if it is really necessary to use the clutch while shifting down. So I was hoping to hear from some owners of WR 450 bikes or similar, whether it is possible to shift down without the clutch. Does it require a lot of power f…

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself and ask a couple questions. My name's Matt and I have a 1978 DT175E that was passed down to me from my dad. It's my first bike and I'd like to learn how to ride using that bike. The problem is it doesn't run. It hasn't for many years. My dad thinks it needs a headgasket. I checked myself and made sure I was getting air, fuel, and spark (which I do get all 3). So the only thing I can think of is compression. I'm going to order a complete engine gasket set and replace the headgasket, intake and exhaust gaskets. I'll keep the extra gaskets for down the road.
