YZF R125, RS125, or RS250? Getting my first bike early next year (I know that's ages away ) but not sure what to go for. Love the R125 but the noise it makes seems a bit pony..on the other hand not really been a fan of the screaming 2 strokes. Will probably be trekking the 65 miles I one way to work fairly often so need something capable of that and seeing as most of that trip is A14 I could do with something that won't dawdle. Also will need something reliable. Does anyone have any views or suggestions?

Hi, just thought I'd post up an intro. My name is Cat and I have been riding for two years now and love it, about 8000 miles under my belt, ridden a Honda Rebel 250, Shadow 750, and Ninja 500. My brother just gave me his old '84 FJ600. It will be my project for next year (putting together a custom Honda hatchback this fall/winter). It has about 22K miles and ran well when he parked it several years ago. I guess a rather large friend of his stretched the chain and my brother parked it. Hi, Looking to move on from my '94 YZF750 onto something a: Newer, b: More powerful, and c: better for two up touring. The only thing is, I want something that will satisfy my weekend warrior aspirations and scratch as well as the YFZ. I'm not a nutter but I would like something that isn't going to be left behind. Hello everyone! Ive just taken deliver of a nice 2006 R6, its my first road bike so im looking for some advice!! Not riden it yet as ive got my test booked for 2 weeks time so not got a licence. Ive been riding Motocross for a couple of years so have an idea how to ride, obviously this is completely different so im going to take it very easy until im a bit more experienced, don't want to damage my pretty bike or my pretty legs! I was reading some reviews and it seems everyone is saying that the bike is missing a steering damper. Is there any point of me getting one for just road riding or is it a waste of time? can anyone help me i have a r1 1998 model and when i bought it i noticed that when you turn the lights on the digital speedo sort of resets itself and the horn stops working also when you try to use your flashers or high beam the same thing happens suggesting to me that there is an earth problem does anyone know what that sounds like and where i need to look to fix this have tried fuses but none blown

Hi all I'm new on so bare with me please . I recently purchased a 2001 R1 which is the mutts nuts and I love Last week after a short ride out I came to start the bike after a short stop and the battery was dead . I subsequently had to bump it 3 or 4 times that day . I have a datatool Digi gear indicator which also stop working (instead of the gear I was in it kept showing me strange symbols or letters ) Then the gear indicater started working again and when I got home my battery was working and it all appeared normal .... I don't think that the gear indicator is in anyway involved it was just an indicator for when the battery was being charged or not ... Anyw…

I have a 02 R6 ( last carburated model ) and it runs great when the temperature is in the 70s, but on a hot day the bike acts like it's starving for fuel after about 30 minutes of riding. I've checked the fuel pump, filter, insulated the fuel line from engine heat. I am wondering if that coolent to heat the float bowls is too much on a warm day? I also had the emissions hoses disconnected and not sure if they are back on right. I found some gasoline in one of those plastic chambers ( coming from the float bowl vent ) I need to find a connection schematic. Anyone else have a prob like this?

Recently bought an older (1988) Fz600 and brought it home and left it until i had more time to work on it. I forgot about the type of neighborhood i live in (not so good) it only took about a couple of weeks for me to hear voices of kids at night coming from around my bike. I scared them off, and now a few more weeks later, now that i have more time to work on it, i discover the bastards were shoving handfuls of pebbles in to my gas tank! I removed everything off it (petcock, cap, float and fuel level assembly) and have gotten the most of them out by trying to get them to roll over any of the three holes. Please help! ANY TIPS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

hi my fz has been sat for a bit and when i put it in gear it stalls and when i pull the clutch in and try and start it the oil light comes on when i press the start button could it be the clutch stiking or wireing i mean if it was the clutch if when i put it in gear it sould not stall right ? i anyone knows or has had this problem before please help thankyou will

I’ve just taken ownership of a YZF R6 (06) what a stunning bike, The guy I bought it of said that he had changed the front sprocket so that it was minus 1 tooth. My question is what difference will it have from my wheel speed to my speedo. If I do 30mph passed a 30mph speed camera will it flash? Thanks Dave

Hey everyone, Just found this place, and lookin' around, it looks great. I just bought a 1994 YZF 750 today (white/blue/yellow rims). It is a nice bike. Has some scratches, and 25,000 miles...but I only paid $1300 from a buddy. I am having trouble finding information about this bike online. I would like to know more about the history, because what I have found is it is a rare-type bike these days...but not sure I believe it. ANy help on where to go is appreciated! HI EVERYONE ANOTHER NEWBIE. Need help doing a brake conversion on my 96 YZF 750 bought a set of R1 calipers from blacks salvage that came off a YZF 750 but tonight tried to fit on my bike and the bolt holes wont line up to my caliper brackets. This conversion seems to be a common mod ,so what can i do to get it working All HELP much appreciated thanx

I`m shortly going to be picking up a Divvy 600-Does anyone have any tips on Divvy ownership?-Does anyone have any experience of fitting a wider rear wheel? The Divvy I`m after is V reg-twin discs/oil cooler etc (I don`t know which model precisely) Are the discs dear on these bikes?-Does anybody have some good con s/hand? Hello all, I just bought my wife a 1995 yamaha YZF 600 and was looking for a couple things (it's not her first bike but it is her first sport bike). I can't seem to find a haynes manual for this model anywhere (or any other brand for that matter). Can anyone suggest a source for a repair manual? Also, I've been watching Ebay, but if anyone has a source on plastics for this bike, feel free to drop me a note. This is my first Yamaha bike and so far we both really like it. Thanks in advance.

hello guys and girls i am a newbie here got told bout this site today to try get some advice.. i got a 99 r6 which wont start. i have just replace the generator and battery as they were both dead and the bike now wont even start i replace the spark plugs as they were bit old and thought this could be part of the problem but is not!! the engine is turning i got a good spark but she still wont fire. dose any 1 have any ideas?!? regards kyle
