I hope I am posting in the right place. I am not yet the owner of a Yamaha but my wife has a Fazer FZ6. I am poised to buy a FZ1 but am put off by several reports of snatchiness on reopening the throttle after closing at around 4000rph. I have been riding a 2004 Cb1300 and that is snatchy on take up so I dont really do 'snatchy' any more-fed up with it! So does the 2008 Fazer still have this problem? Also I am used to galloping up to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds on the CB any idea the corresponding figure for the Fazer FZ1 I can't see it quoted anywhere. Any help on this and any other comments will be most appreciated. PS Sorry I do have a Yamaha- a SR400 imported …

Just helped a mate rebuild a TZR 250, its 2MA model I think, anyway just wondering/hoping if anyone out there knows what the single red light is for on the dash, it seems to illuminate when you exceed 50mph, any thoughts or definate answers? Cheers all.

Hi All, Hoping someone may be able to help with this. My 2 month old R6 is starting to make a very painful noise. When I am pushing it the back wheel makes a loud squeeking noise as if the brakes are on. I think it only does it on certain parts of the tyre as when you are walking it the sound comes and goes. Not really sure where to start on this as I am quite new to biking so dont really have much mechanical knowledge. Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi all, does anyone know the best tyres for an '07 R6? Just done 3000 miles and the original fit Dunlop Sportmax need replacing. Not much info on MCN and website is seriously slow! I've seen good reports about Power Pilots and Dragon Corsas on here, but nothing definitive. A local dealer said Pilot Sports was the way to go? Also read some bad reports about Bridgestones on Yamahas! My mileage is fairly lowish so I'm more concerned with the best grip (wet & dry) and handling than durability. Thanks

hey all, Im currently riding a 125 and will obviously be looking to upgrade once passing my test. My point is that I have been thinking about getting a fazer fz6, however I wanted to know whether this would be too much bike for me as a first 'big' bike or would it be a perfectly viable option? cheers G

Hi all, Ive recently bought my FZ1abs and am after a fly screen to hopefully give me a bit of protection from the windblast. Ive seen a Puig screen on other FZ1s but cant seem to find them on line anywhere, hope some of you can help me out or let me know of a good alternative-my neck can only take so muh!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to the fact that i need a new tank for a 750 YZF and finding it hard to get one without a dent, can anyone tell me what other tanks i could use that will fit and not look out of place, the more options i have the better

Hi all, I am wanting to get an aftermarket can for my 2007 R1. I have been thinking about getting an akropovic, yoshimura or leo vince. Does anyone have any advice on which is the best for the R1? I also wanted to know if it is essential to get the bike remapped if I bought one, if so, what I would need to purchase e.t.c? Thanks for you help.

it is just possile that im being slightly thick but i had to give up with my efforts to fit my R&G tail tidy today i have broken one of the plastic push in plug thingy (hi tech jargon there) is there an easy way to get them out ??? heeellllp!!!!!! any other tips welcomed (apart from tellin me to take it to the local workshop or never eat yellow snow) cj

Hi guys,does anyone know weather you can pull the oil seal out behind the gear shift and replace it without having to open her up,also she seems a bit tappety on the top left hand side,is it a difficult job to do the valve clearences as i have never done any before. Thanks,Shaun

Just bought a Zeal and I have read that the CDI can be modified to give the bike more power. Not that I want to (yet) but wouldn't mind doing it soon as apparently it doesn't affect the low down power at all just shifts peak power up to 14000. Its the FZR250 engine if that helps anyone. Also I've been looking for an exhaust as mine is a FZR 4 into 1 system but the standard Zeal system is a 4 into 2 so only one of the end cans is fitted. I wouldn't mind getting a nice can on to make it sound abit better. Got any ideas of what will fit? I don't mind making a bracket as long as it fits the link pipe OK. Thanks in advance, Carl

does anyone have the acceptable clutch specs for a fz750?got a clutch from a friend and want to make sure it is still acceptable before i put it in.thanx in advance.have a great day. fatkid

i have an 02 r1 and my second gears slips when above 10k, at first i was assuming the clutch was goin but no matter how hard i push it, she won't slip in any other gear our in anyother rpm, always under hard acceleration above 10k
