Hi guys just signed up to see if you could help me a little, basicly my dt125 has been standing for over a year now so yesturday i decided to give it all a good clean up treat it to a nice new spark plug, new oil & some fresh petrol. At first i tryed to bump start it and it nearly started but it didnt so i left the battery on charge over night and put the battery on the bike this morning, pushed the start button and the engine just kept turning over and over and over until bang not sure what it was but i think it was a back fire. been trying different things all day with the bike but no luck, everytime i take the plug out its soaking wet & you get a strong smell…

Hello all, I am new to this forum and to Yamaha ownership. Some background: I have been riding since I was 15 years, about 30 years now, both on- and off-road. I have always owned Honda and Harley-Davidson, doing the maintenance and most of the mechanical work myself. Some thieving scumbags stole my pride and joy last night 21/22-08-08. '08 R6 Red/White Quite distinctive as i fitted Genuine Yamaha parts white tail plastics in place of matt black and pillion cover in white with black pad. Also R&G Titanium colour tail tidy, R&G swingarm spools, Acrapovic megaphone, Yamaha tinted double bubble screen. I know its a long shot but if anyone sees it or has any info, let me know!!

Hello all - I am new to the forum. Name is Paul, live in Altrincham South Manchester and have just bought a 2003 R6. I am after some advice over what Tail Tidy to get. Having done a quick google search have come up with a few but I can't work out whether you lose the rear indicators or not? Similarly, some seem simple to fit, others require drilling! Before I go and splash out some pennies on this, I would like to know if anyone on here has a tail tidy on a 2003 R6, how hard they were to fit with indicators and where they bought it from? Hi All, This is my first post after rading most of the posts in the forum. My question is, what is the red light on the tacho for? I have just bought a tatty FRZ400 3EN1 and the red light on the tacho has come on a couple of times but I have no idea what it means. Any help or ideas would be appreciated

Hi Need to order some touch up paint/spray paint from a company on the web. however they need a paint code. Anyone know where they are on a 2004 R6? I have seen a white sticker under the seat, however im not quite sure if this is it and if so which reference will mean something to them? Anyone help Thanks Rich

Hi, im pretty certain my cam chain tensioner is causing a chain rattle on my 1999 R6. The thing im wondering is whether to use a standard part or if the APE is a good upgrade. Ive also read and 03> tensioner is a better replacement part!? Also, whats the best way to adjust the APE to the correct setting? I just had my 06 R6 with 3490 miles on it, no engine mods and 3 months out of warranty take a crap! The dealer tells me it needs a new crank, rod and bearing(s)! This is my 3rd Yamaha sport bike and I have taken them all to the track(no stunting)and the first time anything like this has happened. Yamaha is willing to pay for the parts but no help with the $2100 labor bill! This has gottem me to do some research on other forums and it looks like it may be more common on this new R6 engine. Ive spent all f*****g day fitting this, it already had an aftermarket undertray fitted when i bought the bike but it rattled, looked crap & it was hard to see the indicators so i wanted a new one. After looking at loads of them i desided on this one, but when it arrived it was slightly damaged, no screw holes for fitment, no fitting instructions and one of the led indicator bulbs was missing, but apart from that no probs . It has been the worst job on a bike ive ever done, it would of been easy to just throw it on but i wanted it right so have took my time cutting, rubbing, drilling etc & now its fitted i cant make my mind up if i like it or not. Ok as my first post on the site I am looking for advise on tail tidy's.... Any one out there got one for the new r6? I know of R&G and Evotech performance but is there any other outfits making them? Also any pics available to see how they look on the bike? Another question is about Yamalube, my bike is coming up for the first service and wanted to know if the Yamalube would be the best choice, I am guessing it is but would like to know which Yamalube to purchase? Hey Guys, Ive booked to take my CBT Test on the 29th of November and just wondered if anyone had any tips or advice? Ive also baught a Yamaha YZF R125, so i really dont want to fail!! Once you past you CBT do they give you a certificate there and then? or do you have to wait for one to be sent to you? Thanks, Charlie

Hi all new to the board, Just done my CBT and looking to buy my first bike, interested in a ybr125, I was thinking about a cbr125, but its too much dough! I am trying to run up some insurance quotes on the ybr but was wondering what alarm and immobiliser i choose on the drop down boxes? High wanting to swap my 2001 zx6r trackbike for a v twin 1000 track bike

I have a mint 2001 R1 and this week I have given her new break pads all round and a new clutch and oil and filter ( from dealer) . everything was fine in fact better than fine , I came close to flipping it several times on the first outing due to no clutch slip etc . I put a new tyre on 2 days ago and again evything good but today I took it out and all of a sudden it's down on power .
