HI ALL HOPE ANYONE OUT THERE CAN HELP ME! I HAVE THE FIRST OF THE NEW SHAPE R6, THE BIKE IS STUNNING IN ALL DEPARTMENTS BUT I HAVE NOTICED WHEN DECELERATING OR SLOWING DOWN IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT GEAR I AM IN WHEN GETTING NEAR AND BELOW 4000RPM IT SOUNDS LIKE A TICKING IS HAPPENEING AND I HAVE NEVER NOTICED THIS BEFORE, I HAVE HAD THE BIKE FROM NEW, NEARLY 2 YEARS NOW AND COVERED AROUND 2000 MILES YOU CAN SEE BY THE MILES THAT THIS IS A DRY WEEKEND TOY AND DOES GET A BIT OF ABUSE WHEN I RIDE THE THING BUT NOTHING TOO DRASTIC! HAS ANYONE HAD SAME PROBLEM OR IS THIS NOT A PROBLEM IS THIS NORMAL? PS THE TICKING ONLY STARTS FROM 4000RPM AND BELOW AT 5000RPM NO TICKING WHA…

Hi please someone tell me I'm missing something obvious being a newbie! In the owners manual and Yamaha website the fuel capacity of the YBR tank is listed as 12 litres, so how come when i fill it up the needle is on full after about 7-8 litres of fuel is in? Cannot figure this one out unless it has a huge reserve tank which it doesnt, cheers.

Hello! First of all, sorry for my lack of skill with the english language I have bought an R1 seat unit to my Yzf750R and I need to find a color code so I can paint the seat unit. My local paint dealer says he cant find any code, and i've been searching for one on internet as well. I have the grey/black/purp colored yzf and I need to get the code for the grey color. I have a YZF 600R Thundercat that has an intermittent problem. Occasionally, and under load, when it gets to 5500 rpm it feels as if it has a spark missing. This goes on till 6500 rpm when it clears. I have bought a new coil and swapped them around. I have bought new plugs. I have had the carbs off, cleaned them out and also replaced the fuel filter. Could it be the plug caps and if so where can I get some as they seem to be rarer than chickens’ teeth? The only other things I can think of are the throttle sensor and the management system, but naturally these are going to be expensive to buy just to eliminate them. My first bike and I think I made the perfect choice. The bike makes leaning comfortable, has awesome throttle response, and for short rides, you almost forget that your leaning forward. Hi, Can anyone tell me how the bodywork of the R6 changed from the 99-2003 model to the 2004 model? Basically i have seen a guy selling a seat cowl that fits a 1999-2003 model and im trying to find out if it would also fit a 2004 model?? TIA Rich

Hello ! I have been offered to buy a FZR-600 ( 1990 ) in wery good kondition. But since I'm no YAMAHA man, I need some help to do a good buy Any Input ? Between what years was it produced ? A couple of days ago I was reading on the WWW and on one place they stated that it was produceed from 1988 - 1999 ! Is this trou ? .

I am looking to get a new exhaust system for my R6S and I'm torn between a yoshimura Yoshi Exhaust and a KR Tuned exhaust KR Tuned. If anyone has any history with either company, your feedback is welcomed. thanks in advance!

I just bought a mechanicaly perfect march 2000 r1 and aprt from minor cosmetic blemishes,to the fairing only,not the frame,the speedo unit works fine,but the tacho needle wont budge.Is this a common thing or just a one off?Can anybody tell me which of the cables going into the unit supplys the tacho its signal cause I cant find it in the workshop manual. The colour code that is.I also suppose that it gets its signal from the ignition pickup.Any help would be great. Take care out there and DONT FALL OFF.

i decided im going to sell my YBR soon however, the back drum is binding i turned the screw to loosen it but it didnt help, if anything it made it worse any idea what it could be ? :S i dont no why they bother making drums thesedays, all bikes should have disks

I have recently purchased a FZR600R and am wanting to improve its bottom end by getting a chain and sprocket kit that runs 45/14 rather than the stndard 45/15. Does anyone know who makes them and where I can get one from? Thanks

Hi everybody! i have just joined the forum and would like to say hi to everyone I have a 2008 r1 and i was wondering what is the best way to cure the big whole in the midrange?? my mate has a gsxr1000 and it leaves mine for dust in high gear roll ons. some say an exhaust and power commander is the best route to go down. can anybody offer first hand advide??? any help greatly appreciated.
