Hi all ive just passed my A2 test so im restricted to 33bhp. Ive been on a CBR125 for a couple of months. Im looking to get a restricted R6, i'll be using the bike pretty much every day and my budget is about £3K so i just wanted to know which year would be best. Thanks For the info

Hi all, Hope someone can help. The battery on my 2002 XJ600N drains very quickly, and is dead after a weeks commuting (short trips of around 3-4 miles each way). I'm easy on the electrics i.e. Not using the heated grips. There's a new battery on it but that didn't help. Can it be the regulator/rectifier? Not great at bike mechanics so any help is appreciated.

i've just bought a rossi r6/46, the night and day paint job, that was introduced in 2005 to celebrate rossi winning the 2004 moto gp championship, i want to know if rossi ever actually raced this bike in competition or is it as it seems, just a special edition road bike? i can't find any evidence of him racing it anywhere.

Hi, I am looking into doing a swing are swap on my 1988 FZ600. I have heard different things about whether this is possible or not. Does anyone have any information on an R6 swing arm fitting on my bike? Thanks

Everyone, I bought a CRG 3" Hindsight mirror and want to remove the stock mirrors from my 1988 FZ600. I have looked around but have been unable to find any mirror caps that will close up the holes after removing the stock mirrors. Are there such things as generic mirror caps? How are these installed? Do they fit in the holes perfectly to fill them up? Thanks for any help.

I have and 86 fzx 700 in pretty good shape except that the exhaust is dinged up and has some rot in bad spots, does anyone still make an exhaust for this bike, or should i just buy new header pipes and something like universal slip-ons. I was also considering k&n filter and a jet kit. I'll appreciate any help or opinions anyone wants to offer.

Hi, I am intending to do a bit of touring next summer, heading down south of France, Carcassonne region, have a wee house there just of the D118 heading out of Limoux. Okay enough of the bull. Current bike is a 06 model Fazer abs, I am thinking of replacing it as I think running around from Northwest England to south of France a few times a year might be a bit hard on a 600 motor, Obvously I like the Yamaha brand , any ideas as to what would make a good replacement bearing in mind I am looking for something fully faired, topbox and panniers. I spotted a beauty 05 plated FZ1 fully faired but was put off as I was told these have problems with the fuel injection system.…

Just got my R125 back from its second service and 2 days after my chain broke... is that something that would be covered by warrenty?

It is getting really cold here in Pennsylvania and I have noticed my bike getting harder and harder to start. This morning my bike wouldn't start. I have a 1988 FZ600u that is in pretty good shape and has had no problems starting until it has become cold outside. I just bought the bike this past summer and the bike was inspected and fixed up right when I got it. I replaced the spark plugs about 2 weeks ago and they didn't seem to help all that much. Do you guys think if I got a new battery that would help at all? What else could the problem be? Thanks.

Hello All, i currently have an issue i would like some help with please. i have a 2006 model R1 and numerious people i have been following home at night have informed me that when they view me in there mirrors my main headlight looks like i am constantly flashing them(going from normal beam to high beam and back) !! I have had a look and i can see nothing loose, is this a current issue with the 2006 model??? Its annoying me now as other bikers think i am flashing them to inform them of a problen with their bikes when i am not. Please help? hello there iv recently purchased a xj600n and I'm going to change the oil. Iv already brought an oil filter and sump plug. I'm new to the biking world. What is the best cheapish oil to use it hasn't done massively high mileage. Is there any difference between bike engine oil and car engine oil???? As i am a car mechanic and obviously have plenty of good quality 10/40 car engine oil will this be ok? thanks for the help.

hi can any one help.ive shaft oil coming out of the breather pipe on my 900 divvy.ive renewed the oil at 200ml and the breather pipe when the temp becomes 0 outside i get oil coming out of the breather onto me back wheel.he grade of oil is 80/90 i would be grateful for any help as this is driving me nuts

hi to all! i wonder if any of you nice chaps would point me in the right direction? i bought a brand new fazer 1000 in march ive been checking out its exhaust and i feel it needs replacing as its just to quiet.my problem is it has a cat on it and how would this affect the bike putting a new exhaust on it? it doesnt appear to have a connection(joint)just behind the can so im guessing im gonna have to replace the whole exhaust from the down pipes,is this right? help much appreciated!

Hi all, I have been browsing the forums for a while now but never really done anything about registering. Anyway, hopefully no one minds my first post being a hello and a HELP!!!! at the same time I purchased a lovely 2003 R6 with ~5000miles about 2 months ago. This is my first motorcycle and as for riding goes I won't say I am overly confident but do think I can handle the bike fine, but yes still getting used to it. When I took it from the dealer I just could not fault it. It rides brilliantly but present day I seem to think something is up with the gearbox. Hello all, I've got a wonderful R6 (2003) rides like a dream! I'm thinking of changing the profile of the front tyre from 65 to 60, I've been told this increases handling especially into bends, has anybody done this? does it increase handling round bends? what are the pro and cons? Current tyres are stock Dunlops and I'm thinking of getting Michelin Pilot Power. Thanks for your time. MrF

Ive seen people fitting R6 exhausts to there yamaha R125's.... Is this easy to do? i mean surley the pipe would need to be modified? Help please Cheers, Charlie

I have a 1982 Seca 550 that will not start. I am currently trying to pull the timing plate off because it appears to be damaged. But as I turn a wrench on the integrated nut it also turns the crank. I put the bike in gear thinking that would stop it from rotating...no it did not. Cn someone help me on how to take the timing plate off of a 1982 Seca 550? Thank you.

Has anyone found a tank bag that fits the FZ1N? Properly? I can't seem to find any off-the-shelf ones that fits around the plastic protuberance that is half the tank!

Hello to all, I'm new to this site & wonder if there is any1 out there who can help with a 2000 r6. The bike was dropped when i bought it & i'm planning on converting it into a track bike. The top end has been rebuilt & i've cleaned & serviced the carbs. Put evething back on & tried to fire the engine up but no joy. The bike turns over no problems but no spark from the plugs. Checked all leads & fuses etc. Changed out the cdi for a spare one but still no spark from the plugs. Check to see the engine case was grounded ok with multi meter no problems there. I need a gas tank for my 06 1100 v-star and was wandering if other years are the same or is 06 diffrent. If anyone knows which other fuel tanks would work please let me know. Also what should I expect to pay for a nice used tank?
