Hi, I have recently aquired a 2000 xj600s diversion which does not have any illumination to the dash area for the speedo and tacho. All other bulbs are working ie, headlight, indicators etc. What type of bulb do i need, how many, and are they easy to replace. Is it likely its a bulb or a fuse which may be the cause? Hi, Just got the XJ6 2009 and loving it, I bought a tail tidy and am stumped at how to remove the current tail! I can see the 4 bolts under the seat that needs removing which is fine, however I'm confused about the wiring and the indicators and how to take them off the oem one and adding them onto the new one!? Is anyone able to assist please! If not I'm going to have to take it to the local mechanic and he'll charge £60! Is there any instructions or tutorial anywhere? Thanks for looking and any help?

Hi my engine management before the bike is turned over flashes 4 slow times and 2 fast times. Then when the bike is turned over and running it stops on permanent. The bike stills runs fine with with no problems. i was just wondering if anyone could help me with what the problem is. Thanks. PS the day before this light came on my speedo stopped working could that have anything to do with it as ive been told by other people that it hasnt

I think I can get a Thundercat with 45,000 miles on it (sounds like a lot!) for around £900.00. It seems to be a good specimen but sounds a bit tappety, is this normal? There are thundercats with 25k on them for between £1500-£2000.00 but I know my way around a bike and the tappets wouldn't be an issue for me to do myself, just wondering if on these bikes in particular with that mileage that there may be a deeper issue! Hi I,ve got a 2002 fazer 1000, it there away from adjusting the clutch to stop it dragging slightly, when I'm sat in traffic or just pull up I need to blip the gas a couple of times to get the clutch to completely disengage?? Is this a common fault. It done 29000 miles.....Any help would be cool... Thanks

Hi there, new to the forum and looking for some advice. I recently bought a 2002 cat and although bike is prisine for its age the rear shock spring is corroded and its bugginf me. Wa looking to strip it out, clean and repaint it but I've found a company that will supply a new spring relatively cheaply. Only problem is they need the specification for the spring to supply a like for like replacement and they don't have them. They are looking for the Internal diameter of the spring and the load rating in Lbs/sq In. I can give then the I/D measurement but have no idea where to find or how to work out the load detail. Morning All, First time poster, and rider, so bear with me please . Passed my CBT on Sunday, and got a second-hand YBR to commute to work on, however I have a couple of issues and looking for help/advice please; 1.) Speedometer and odometer are both not working, can you advise how to check if the cable is damaged or loose? 2.) Electric ignition does not fire at all. The electrics all come on fine, green neutral light on etc, but when I depress the electric ignition the neutral light dims slightly and there is no starting sound at all. Hi, everyone, Picked up my 2009 YBR 250 from local dealers and noticed on way home a distinct but not very loud metallic vibration at between 3.5 and 5k revs., accompanied by an irregular knocking. It's not there when I take the bike through this rev range when it's not in gear. I can't go any higher up the rev range as the bike has only done 75 miles so needs running in. I suspect something's not right with the transmission. It still has dealer warranty so I'm not too worried. Anyone out there got any ideas? Do I need to take it back to the dealers?

Does anyone else out there have one and can anyone answer me the following: 1. Is it restrticted in any way and, if so, can it be derestricted? 2. Is it an 'export' model or are they sold through the usual dealerships? 3. I found a photo on the net of a 2011 YRB that was clalled a 'Fazer'. Is it part of the Fazer family? 4. My SZR 660 has no fairing. It has had it removed plus the bars are now MotoX style renthals and the headlamp is seemingly off a Suzuki ( Its huge ) Now, the radiator is now exposed as is the radiator fan etc, and I was wondering if there is some bottom half of a fairing that I can use for this bit. I am very happy with the way the light and the screen is now, I just need that lower part. Just got my first Dragstar 1100 Classic, year 2008. The guy from whom I bought it, who had it from new, said to only use 98 octane, but in the manual it says to use 95 octane unleaded. Anyone got any views on this? Also, whats the best polish to shine and protect all that chrome?
