has anyone ever streetfightered a 1990 exup i might do a R1 seat conversion to mine if anyone has ever streetfightered theirs plz could you give me some advice and maybe some pics, if so plz could you post pics to [email protected] cheers

hi im a new member so im un sure how this all works but i own an fzr250r exup 3ln its in blody good condition and just saild thru an mot its so light its unreal so i got to thinking about fiting a 400 exup lump in to it im looking for info on how easy it wud be to transplant it and any modifications i might need to make to my frame ( engine mounts rad brackets so on so on )and any mods i might need to make to my loom wud it fit straight in ???? all help greatfully aprecaited

My FZS 1000 is a French import. The importer tells me it is not restricted. How can I tell if this is true or not without using a dyno? How easy is it to derestrict French import Fazer 1000's? Thanks! Nomad

Hello there people, the name's Dave and last week I picked up my rather spanking Lava red (best colour!) R1. Previous bike was an SRAD 600 GSXR, and I'm amazed at how easy the R1 is to ride! The only thing bugging me about it is the low screen ( I'm 6' 2"), had an MRA double bubble on my old bike which was excellent but having a bit of trouble finding one for my new bike. All I seem to find are bloody iridium screens and I can't stand them! Any help mucho appreciated, Cheers DaveDude.

I don't understand this you know! :roll: They pick up on a quite a few negative points... No centrestand....the original Fazer had one. Lumpy at low revs round town.....the original Fazer is the smoothest bike I've ever ridden at low revs. Brakes not up to it and are only 2 pot calipers.....the original Fazer had the R1 4 pot calipers. No storage under the seat....the original Fazer has. Difficult to get a good foothold on the sidestand......the original Fazer was no problem. No bungee points.....the original Fazer has. Tall gearing......the original Fazer is spot on. Dimpled seat that holds water on it.....the original Fazer hasn't got this. Notchy gearb…

Guys... Have lava red 04 R1 with the standard black rims...considering having them painted gold (like theSP ..but cheaper!!) have any owners done this if so any chance of a piture of the finished producT.. Ta REWY

I have a 01 plate yzfr1 its done 7000 miles and has no service history although the dealer i brought it from said hed given it a service.Anyway whilst idling theres a ticking coming from the engine its not that loud really and doesnt seem to rise with revs but i can sometimes hear it on the road ,also when out on the road the carbs seem to sound rather 'throaty'are these noises normal or is something up?

Just like to announce the evil that had befowled my bike has been undone. It is finally pushing out all of its ponies and a few extra due to a K&N filter. It sounds a lot better aswell now the plates have been taken out of the carbs. Regards

Hi thought I'd do a quick newbie post. Just bought myself an 04 R6 with zero miles on it. pick it up on the 30th and so so excited. Should be a bit of a change from the Hornet 250! Already bought myself some crash bungs, tail tidy, tank and yoke protectors!! Oh I'm from Devon in England too!!

I have an R1 1998 model, my oil light keeps coming on and off when I am riding it, but there is plenty oil in it....has anyone else experienced this and do you know what the problem could be...?
