Hi, at first you can think and say that I'm fool or crazy or lunatic but I'm planning to create the most coolest T-Ace what has been. Full carbon fibre fairings made look a like YZR M1 model. Also fuel tank will be made from carbon and kevlar. I had rip off all fairings and tail also so fun starts soon. I have calculate litle bit and only materil cost will be around 850 Eur. Also some thought to build airbox with ra-mair system (carbon)... I will post some project photos to here at time to time.

i am just about to service the yamaha xs for the first time but cant find the drain plug for the middle gear oil can anybody help steve

Anyone know a good place for parts? Specifically fairing panels and other consumables for a 2004 R1 (don't ask). Online would be good, London/SE if not, post if not. Cheers.

Hello there, just got out my motorcycle yesterday. But I knew for sure it was ready for a tune-up since last year it was really rough and a little bit rich on gas. It's an Fz600 1988 So, Ive got a problem my spark plugs (all four) get carbonised afther only an hour and then, no fire (duh!). Here is what I already did: -Cleaned carbs, they are now clean. Everything seems fine - Balanced carbs, my idle is now better at low temps (they needed it!) - Removed air bowl and filter, still runs rich (I'll put it back later) - Adjusted a float height of 1mm but it was still on the specs before, juste made sure it was really precise. I'm now searching for a fuel…

Sorry to swamp the forum with loads of messages. My bike didnt have a battery so i bought a new one, however im not sure how or what to connect to it! I have the red wire + fuse and black but i think there needs to be another wire connected to it. I got a pic of a bike on ebay with the battery wired up, im assuming mine should look something like it.

My 87' FZR1000 has a strong vibration at 4500rpm in all gears and neutral, it passes as soon as i pass this rev range. I suspect the problem is not gearbox related, any pointers ??

im very new to this forum so i apologise in advance for not nowing how it works and my spelling. the rear brake caliper on my dt125lc is knackered and i cant find 1, will a front caliper fit? would i have to make a plate to hold the it in place? cheers

A mate has just broken one collar in the starter motor. He says it may have back fired when kicked from cold and sheared the collar. (Uses kick starter when cold)Is this possible? He says the collar is part of the centre cases. Does he have to get new cases? Or can he get the collar rewelded? Help!

Does anyone know how much the diaphrams are for an 87 1000 genesis and where to get them from please had loads of fun trying to figure out why it wouldn`t rev above 7000 rpm,tu7rns out i got holes in the diaphrams .....bet thats gonna cost me

recently aquired a dt 50 witrh no clutch i have now bought a new clutch and haynes manual but how the fcuk do you do a clutch on one without a full stripdown is it accesible from left side casing or right side casing if anyone can shed some light on this it will be apreciated

Hi. I have an 03 Fazer 600 with a duff battery (26 months old, garaged over winter, connected to an optimate and still duff!) Anybody point me towards the best place to buy a replacement please? Also, has anybody else had a short battery life? Cheers

any one had problems with a speedo for an FZR 600 R or any older Yam? new cable bought and fitted, the speedo works ok if i turn the cable. my mate says it may be the connection block at the front wheel, apparently its just a flimsy steel bracket inside the connection, but can be repositioned. anyone had similiar problem or know how to fix, repair??

Hello hope someone can help. Have recently bought new R1 and with every bike I have always had a scot-oiler fitted. However as I have found out with this bike there is not a lot of room for extras like this and comms unit. Has anyone else had this slight problem and found a solution as to were to position the scot-olier. Please less of the smart suggestions Thanks Ed

I'm getting a slightly damaged 91-92 XT 600 and i'd like to get a manual to do my own work. Haynes don't seem to have done one and the Clymer one is for an older model. Question: Will the Clymer one do?? Anyone seen any others?? Question: Anyone know where i can get handlebars, ignition switch, clutch lever mounting bracket and indicator switch. If you haven't guessed it had a prang on the left hand side and the old owner got a fright.......................

My mate got hold of a 1991 Virago XV535. It was standing for a year or two. It starts and idles no problem, changed air filter, spark plugs.....but it just has absolutly no power! any body had anything similiar??

Hi everyone, Dont know if anyone can help but basicly i went away to college and left my bike lying in the shed for about a month. When i got back it was completely dead. I have taken the engine to bits cudent see anything wrong-plenty compression etc. put a new plug in and its spaking well, took the carb off cleaned it out. Reed block out nothing wrong there either. i dont know anything about electrics but i thought if there was spark it would at least fire? has anyone got any ideas? Regards Ross

Hi, Im new here.. And i'll begin. I recently bought a 1990 dt125r although i dont know if the engine or carb is from a 1990. Ok Its had a new piston, re-bored barrel, New head gasket Its got spark Its got compression Its got fuel in carb Its got oil in pump I have tried to push it down the road to bump it but i makes a wierd niose coming from carb (i think). Everytime i kick it, after i take out plug and it has oil on the plug about half way up the thread I have asked many people what it could be and they have answer well but none have solved my problems. Could this forum be the one that helps me to run it..... Please do... Thanks …

Hi all, i am in need of a little help, i have got a 96 XJ600s diversion and the Y connectors of the downpipes are completely rotted away, anyway i have ordered some new replacement downpipes from D&K. my question is, is there any special gasket that i need to connect the Y connector to the excisting can? or does it slide in and a exhaust clamp to seal it? need to know ASAP as i plan to do it this weekend.
