I have been told that a YZF750 gearbox will fit into my TRX (it supposedly makes them MUCH better), has anyone done it & knows how to do it as the selector shafts & forks are completely different, or can you put me in touch with someone that has done it. Thanks. Lee

hi ya all,i found this site and its great so joined straight away.thank god for the internet. any one help or had any probs before.ive got a yzf 750 and it has couple of problems.the engines holding on the revs when you let go of the throttle. but its not running on number 1 cyc properly either. carbs are balance right and does sound maybe a valve or ring problem or valve clearances. I am a car techician so fixing is not a prop but it always good to get a second hand opinion. And any one got a subframe for a yzf750!! THANKS

Hi, I have just bought a XV750 engine for the purpose of turning it in to a diesel, yes I can guess what you’re thinking but 200mpg is starting to change people’s minds on diesel. Anyhow I digress; I need to know if the 750 crank is used on a bigger engine. Diesels have to have a stronger crankshaft, which usually means that a converted petrol engine has been done by re sleaving the bores to a smaller size, and I don't want to do that If I can help it. Thanks for any help you can give. PS Yamaha are going in to diesel motorbike production for the US military.

Hello to all, I'm trying to balance carbs on xj 750 . Do I need the YICS cut off rod (Yamaha part no. 90890-04068) or is there any way around this . Has anyone got one of these lurking in the back of their shed either for loan or sell (cheap) ? I know this is an older bike so any help greatly appreciated. Header.

I was off road one night in spain where i am working, and had a head on with a partially submerged concrete drainage pipe. The problem is the engine cranks, but i have no spark and the fuel pump doesnt initially run when i swith on the ignition. I am wondering if there is a crash or inertia switch that has tripped due to my accident. My owners manual is in french, and i am having great difficulty getting a workshop manual for the bike. To make matters worse i am based in spain and having problems finding a dealer. Anyone help please.

Just bought a Fazer 1000 but the back tyre feels a little too slippery in the wet. I currently have a Metzelder rear tyre but was wondering if there any suggestions for more grip? I ride everyday rain or shine to work and obviously like a blip at the weekend.

Has anybody had a problem with the charging rate on a dragstar classic. went for a 30 mile ride with two 55w spotlights on, got home and the battery was flat...well it would still light the spotlights and headlight (that you cant turn off) but it wouldn't turn the engine over to start. Any help or ideas gratefully accepted.......Ride Safe

I have been looking at a 1000 upgrade to my YZF 750 for a while now. (The only thing stopping me is not having another bike to ride while it's off the road having a 1000cc injection!) My question is to those who have done this upgrade. What is the best FZR model to go with? Is one good for the engine and another good for the electrics? etc etc... Thanks guys, John.
