  4. Hello... I'm new to this site and also this forum stuff, so.... please be nice to this newbie!!!! I was wondering if there are any aftermarket exhausts (end-can) for my 2006 R6, in the UK, and still keep the EXUP valve. If no such pipe exists, what do I need to do to to my bike to restore lower & mid-range power?

  9. hi guys, i just bought a 2000 reg R6 yesterday and i was delighted with it, it makes a brilliant noise and is the fastest thing ive ever seen!! however the bubble burst when i went out to give it a bit of a thrash today, from 1000-11500 RPM the bike runs and drives fine with all the power you would expect from a 600, however when i get to 12,000 RPM it stops accelerateing and just splutters and stay's at 12,000 RPM (for those that dont know an R6 revs to 18,000 RPM) this bike has been fitted with a blue flame tri oval can but has not been dinojeted could this be part of the problem? any help would be much appreciated ive had the bike 1 day and its broke already >.&…

I have recently put on Scorpion pipes on my '05 FZ6(they sound and perform amazing), but I have also started to notice that the engine is cutting out when I come to a stop after an extended highway drive, I have been running it on 87 octane since I got it a year and a half ago and have put on nearly 20,000 kms without any problems prior to this, one suggestion was that the octane level should be above 87? Anyone have any suggestions or similiar problems?

Does anyone here know of anyone good that would do this job for me or have any idea's on the fix itself. the gear dogs on the 2nd gear have worn! I've only had the bike a year aswell but its got so bad that it now slips out of gear, doesnt change properly into 3rd and makes an aweful sound if ever in 2nd gear. I've been told its a big job and will require the whole engine to be removed I'd like to know of anyone that have had this problem aswell

Hi all. First post.... I've just recently bought a Yammy YZF T/Cat, and naturally I've been cruising around on it today in the sweltering heat. But whilst waiting in a traffic queue for around 10 mins my temperature gauge was creeping up and hit around 98 deg cel. The cooling fan had not and did not come on, and so I turned the engine off for good measure. The red 'danger' area on the gauge is quite a way off 100 deg cel, but I thought it unusual that the fan had not come on at 98 ?? Does anybody know what temperature it should kick in ? The bike is in v good condition, well looked after and and was serviced just 1000 miles ago. I've looked through the manuals but i…

Hi there! My first problem is the choke. It is just not working. Cold or hot, the engine stops if i even touch the choke lever. Guess that the mixture is too rich, however, as I don't have any kind of user or service manual, I don't know how to adjust it.. A new problem came up today, as I parked in front of a store, I came out and there was gasoline under my bike! Tried to start it, no way. I closed the gas, waited for a few minutes, and it started on the last drop of battery power. After a while, it revs ok, no more leaking....seams ok now. Could it be dirt in the carb, under the float needle?? Can I clean the carbs myself? Its two Mikuni carbs..are they co…

Hello All. I've been the proud owner of a tatty as @$£& RXS100 for some time now, using it as a second to my Enfield Bullet. My bullet does 300-600 miles per week, and has it's neck wrung regularly, facilitated by the use of some performance parts (amal concentric, straight through pipe, high comp. piston, revised gearing, etc.). Sadly though, the big end gave way earlier in the week, causing the con rod to punch a fist sized hole in the cases, smashing the front plates up and bending the front down tube in it's haste to dash itself on the tarmac. The head and timing gear survived, but sadly the rest of the engine is now kaput. This is going to take me several week…
