I have a 2003 yamaha YZF600RR thundercat(daily driver and I have a car) and I have a 2002 yamaha r6 motor. Will the r6 fuel injected heads fit on my Thundercat crank case or should I just rebuild the r6 and put it in?

hi, can anyone help on the correct finish for my bike? I am in the process of restoring this bike and am just renovating the font end but cannot find any original pictures to find out if the yokes were originally satin black or gloss black?? Has anyone got any pictures from an original catalogue I could use to find out once and for all???? cheers

My dilemma .Im working on my DT250 and from what I can tell its an E model ( 1978 ) and Im working from a Clymer M412 manual . To begin with the bike was stolen but was recovered a few years ago in a non running condition . I've cleaned the fuel system out to where I think it should at least fire but dosent so ignition is my next step ( spark looks poor ) . It appears that the ignition was monkied with , nicks on the coil windings and a striped locking screw on the points , the stripped screw wont be a problem but Im hoping the coils are not shorted I don't have an ohm's meter scale that reads that low of a resistance . My problem is that I don't know what the measurement…

hi everyone, I went to go out on a ride yesterday and my dash had partially stopped working. The dash flickers on and off and keeps saying endr or ntrd, then when I select ntrd it lights up and then turns off. Also when I start the bike the dash will turn off completely, it also it flickering between ntrd and endr without the key being in the ignition. Also the neutral light , headlight and indicator lights around the dash work fine. Any ideas? I appreciate any help/advice.

Hi, Have got my latest project, '84 XJ900 back together and runnig through a few niggles with the electrics but I have purchased some original De Carbon shocks. Does anyone know if these can be dismantled and if so how - I'm only interested in getting to the springs and replacing the bump stop?

Hey guys, I just bought an 86 fz600. I only paid 700 bucks for it. It's piped, jetted, and all k & n intakes. It's in decent shape, you know needs basic cleaning and stuff. One problem, after it starts, it takes a little bit to really get to running good, but doesn't quite get there before shooting oil out of the crankcase breather..it will keep running but I could use some help in where I should start fixing it or at least finding out what it may be. The old owner thought it might be gas shooting out...but when I looked, the oil breather was wet with oil and dripping when I shut the bike off. All the carb intakes were dry. Anybody help please. I have a 1990 DTMX 125 and live in France. It is the old air cooled 6 volt electrics type manufactured mainly in the 70's. It is a 1990 as they were re introduced but with electronic ignition in France for a couple of years. The bike has symptoms almost like dirt in the carb. It revs freely and will hit the red line in 6th on the flat or with a tail wind. Starting is no problem. However into a headwind or a climb on full throttle but mid range revs it misses subtly and lacks power. Almost losing half it power. I have stripped and cleaned the carb several times. Checked adequate flow from the fuel tap, tried another plug and plug cap and another igniti…

Hi all, so im picking my XT125 up next week but it has no speedometer as it got knicked and im wondering if anyone can recommend a decent stockist to get one from? Ive had a quick look around the internet but they seem hard to find and the one I did find was expensive. Ive also noticed that a lot of people have had problems with them so im wondering if I could simply wire a different kind on to it, like a non digital one for example. hello friends just bought the little lady a ybr and the problem is its so slow 62mph flat out and poor acceleration what can I do to it ? are the 150 big bores any good? but don't forget I cant alter exhaust or air filter because I cant alter the fueling as its injected thanks people

My 600 Diversion with low miles will start on full choke and rev at 3000. However if I touch the accelerator it cuts out. I have cleaned carburetor jets (it was very clean anyway), put new fuel in but still the same problem. I have also run it with fuel tank off and can hear the pump run and see it take fuel from temporary feed. While it runs fine on full choke it will cut out when I put the choke in even when warm and does not seem to want to take any load Has anyone any suggestions as to what could be causing this problem? Everything I look at seems healthy so could it be some electronic problem? All help appreciated as I am baffled.

Hi Guys, Doing some work on a newly purchsed 2002 dtr 125 in preperation for an MOT. After a few simple fixes, I have found a stumbling block. The bike starts and runs sweetly, but I can't cut the engine with the key, I fitted an aftermarket kill switch, which does work. After a tinker, I can now switch the engine off owith the key, but its in the "on" position, will run fine in "off" position. Any ideas????? Thanks

I'm working on a 1995 dt175 which has been sitting around for a few years without being started. When in gear the bike will not roll when the clutch lever is pulled in as the clutch plates are sticking. I've tried most suggestions to free it up (clutch cable adjustment, rocking it in gear, cable tied the clutch lever in overnight, rode it around dumping the clutch in and out at revs) but it basically the hasn't changed. So I'm guessing the clutch fibre plates have had it. So i'm looking at replacing/rebuilding the clutch. I want to do it properly once. So is it good enough to just replace the fibre plates or should I be looking at other parts while the clutch is disassem…

Hi. I make mistake and try to put leds indicators on. Its works first few h, but when i stop after few min was sound like little bang. I check fuse and it was good. I put back old ones and still not working. I cheack relay and didnt any damage. Can you please help me? I think its relay but maybe something else? And what i need to do tu put led indicators? Hi Guys, I bought my SR a few weeks ago, and the poor thing had not been very well taken care of. Gave it a service - new oil, air filter, spark plug, brakes, sprockets, chain. Didn't touch the valve adjustment, and it is a bit noisy on the top end, so I need to get to that. Recently it has developed a bit of a dead patch between 1/4 throttle and 1/2 throttle, which led me to pulling the carb and cleaning everything out. I didn't pull any of the jets, just blew through them all with carb cleaner, and wiped everything down well. The throttle valve has some indentation where it rests against the idle adjuster, which I dressed slightly, but there's still a divet there, alb…
